Beachfront Paradise- Dorm Bed # 2

LolaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Staying with Tricia felt like staying with “auntie”! She’s a gourmet cook using fresh organic vegetables. She gave vegetarian choices. She took me to a gift shop after I mentioned I wanted to buy art. We shared ice cream at a local shop (amazing casava, coconut and real rum in the rum raisin). Her friends and family were hospitable, friendly, and as a solo Woman I felt absolutely safe. So much I didn’t even lock my room! Tricia was hospitable without crossing boundaries. She’s a very trustworthy and respectful person as are the rest of the crew! Put ups to Gaston for encouraging me to swim in the Caribbean Sea - fire take in front of the property! I cannot say enough about their level of professionalism and etiquette. Moving forward, I will always stay with Tricia when I’m Belize.

Mermaid Cottage & Pool on Azura Beach in Placencia

CaraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We liked the mermaid cottage a lot. We stayed at one of the tiny houses as well. I didn't realize that there is not a beach here though and the sand that is all around in the photos is not sand you can play in, it's just a dusting on top of the ground. And much of it had biting ants. So this was a beautiful place but not ideal for little kids (our 2 year old was with us). We spent our days down at the Bohemian in town which had a beach and pool. We loved the little plunge pool at the cottage though, it was very cute and a great way to cool off. If you are looking into their different accomodations, this is definitely the best one. This place is about a 15 minute drive into the town of Placencia. If you walk two properties down to the left there is a nice resort with a restaurant. Communication is very confusing but if you just talk to Jose it will be all good.

Nautical Cabana @Ocean View Beach Facility

LizRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Mariel's place was absolutely gorgeous! The detail to the finish woodwork was incredible and absolutely beautiful! Mariel was quick with every response and supplied us with a delivery service that could bring us dinner as we had not rented a car in this area. The property is quiet and open directly onto the ocean. Easily 5 Stars! Thank you Mariel!

Bocawina Rainforest - Standard Room

ToryRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Ultimately this was the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. The location is incredible- literally waking up inside the national park. Trails start onsite, waterfalls within a 30 minute walk. Abundance of birds. Room is overall basic (bed comfy, shower is great). No A/C and it is HOT at night. No kitchen only their restaurant. Dinner is $26 USD (lots of food, worth it) but the breakfast ($16.50) and lunch ($17.50) felt so overpriced. HOWEVER THE FOOD IS AMAZING. the chef is 10/10. all staff on site were unbelievably kind and helpful. The room itself is priced reasonably but everything onsite is in USD and EXPENSIVE!! Be prepared to spend a lot when you get there. Otherwise bring snacks/protein bars and do self guided hikes (free) to keep costs down. Arrange own transport too. Transport offered like ride to airport is $250. Hikes were great, I did 5/7 waterfalls. Saw only birds no other wild life which was too bad. Overall this was a great experience!!! amazing place and people

Tiny Home Cabana Near The Sea - Hibiscus

TienRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The spot was extremely cute and clean inside and outside. It's about a 20-25 minute walk from the main part of Hopkins Village. With a bike, which was provided (there were several), you can get there pretty easily during the day time. Other nice amenities included a 5 gallon jug of bottled water, an on-site washing machine, and some clothes lines. Wendy also proactively reached out before and during my stay to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. All and all, it was great stay and would book again.

Sandpiper Beach Cabana (Sandpiper)

SteffanyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you like going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean, this is the place to stay at. The cabins are right along the edge of the beach and are walking distance to local businesses and delicious food. A bike is sufficient for getting around to businesses that are little further away and tour companies are close enough for pickups to further places. We happened to be there during a heat wave and were very happy that the bedroom had AC which helped us stay comfy at night. During the day the breeze from the ocean is cooling, so leaving the windows and door open brings in a nice breeze. There are chairs and hammocks on the porch and on the beach. Overall I recommend staying here for a relaxed beach vacation.

Bougainvillea Beach House, 3 Bedroom Home

RichardRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We love the property and keep coming back; this was our 5th or 6th straight year. We like the fact that it is pretty far north because we like to explore the beautiful country of Belize. We are still close to the great restaurants in Maya beach and can access the village relatively easily. It is clear that Greta loves the property too and does her best to take care of it and improve upon it. The progress on the fountain is great and we look forward to see it functioning in its full glory. We appreciate the effort she makes! Whenever an issue arises, we appreciate the fact that we can work together with Greta to quickly resolve it. It was also a bonus to have Phillip working on the grounds and trying to improve our esperience while we were there this year. The only downsides with our visit this year was about a week of squalling cats during the night and owls that were extremely loud during the wee hours. We are looking forward to coming again next year or perhaps even later this year.
