The listing matched the images. Furniture is a bit outdated, but cozy. We enjoyed the view of the river from the large window. A big plus was the sauna and this gigantic tranquility.

We really felt very comfortable in Teija's cottage and would have liked to stay there longer. We thought it was really nice that we had the opportunity to light a campfire and grill. The surroundings are very quiet and perfect for relaxing due to the forest and the proximity to the lake. The cottage itself is very modern and is heated/cooled with a heat pump. In addition, Teija was always available, incredibly friendly and offered many helpful tips with her guest book :) We would come back anytime and can highly recommend the accommodation 😊

The accommodation is definitely perfect to have a peaceful stay in the nature. Everything we need is there, we enjoyed a lot the sauna and had the chance to see northern lights! Thank you!

This place and its surroundings are simply so beautiful! As much coziness, peace and quiet as you can wish for. And still so much to do and see! We recommend a day trip to Tanamunningen / Høyholmen as well as exploration of the nature just around the cottage, snow shoes made that easy. We were a bit unlucky with the weather as can always happen but the house absolutely made up for that: great sauna, fireplace, grilling sausage outside by the fire in the snow and playing board games and simply watching the amazing landscape. Host gave detailed instructions for check in and was responsive to messages. The apartment is located just a short 1-2 minute drive away from the supermarket. House is cosy and there is an indoor sauna and outdoor tub available for use. Thank you Marita for the nice cosy place ◡̈

Fabulous remote cabin with beautiful features, as close to nature as you can get

We had a lovely stay with the family. The artic Log is a pleasant and quiet accommodation being quite close to the city.

Fantastic wilderness cabin in a great location. We stayed during mid march and the fire stove kept us plenty warm throughout the day and night. The last logs put on the fire at night would keep the cabin above +10 C the following morning even when -16 C outside. The cabin has everything you need and then some for people who love the outdoors. Jori was always available online to give information and tips on ice fishing. We caught 3 fish on our first ever ice fishing experience. The lake can be explored on foot but snow shoes help. There is plenty to explore with other wilderness huts reachable by hiking on some of the islands. Views of the northern lights were spectacular on the lake. Remember to take plenty of water with you, particularly in winter so you don't have to collect from frozen lake. Would definitely love to come back some day.

The apartment matched the description, was clean and had everything you needed. The bed and sofa bed are good to sleep in. Communicating with the host was smooth.

Very well equipped and located for a stay in Varanger. Great hosts, who communicated well. Can't fault the Airbnb, everything as advertised and the chairs looking out the large window over varangerfjord was beautiful. Private beach an added bonus too.

The stay was pleasant and Tina always answered fast and was very nice. The apartment was good and had everything we needed. :)

The cottage included all the amenities and it was easy to vacation there. The sauna had good steam and a nice dip in between the steam in Teno. Messaging with Nina went smoothly. Highly recommend!

Modern, clean apartment in a great location overlooking Vadso Harbour, with views of the Hurtigruten ferry stopping by every morning. As birders, we particularly enjoyed looking out of the windows and seeing sea ducks - including Common and King Eider and Long-Tailed Duck - at close range in the harbour. It's possible to book a floating photographic hide in the harbour, just a short walk away, if you want even closer views of the birds. The accommodation is well located for exploring different areas of Varanger including searching for the aurora.

First of all, Arvi was super friendly and communicative with us, he responded super fast and gave us many suggestions of where to go, times and with photos of the places. And apart he left us with his wife a super detail and a postcard of the place❤️ Secondly, the place was spotless, everything matched the photos and honestly doesn't do it justice to what you're going to see and the landscape in front of you. And last but not least, the location of the cabin is ideal to get away from the people, the hustle and bustle and the city. The place is beautiful, super cozy, very intimate and romantic if you go as a couple, super quiet; we loved that in the room zero light comes in, then you sleep super rich. And you can see the auroras from the window or leave and you have them all above you, it was a magical experience and it couldn't be a better place than there. We are delighted and amazed, will be back some day. Highly recommended, 100/10 🤩

For some reason. I did not realize the apartment was 3 bedrooms, so I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Apartment was exactly as advertised and in a beautiful quiet area. We took the bus from Rovaneimi and the apartment was about a 12 minute walk form the station. Since we were here in the dead of winter, it was a little bit of a workout to find it dragging out checked bag with us, but we are fit and managed to get through it. Just be aware that if you are not very mobile, or have a lot of luggage, you may want to arrange a taxi. The reward you get for the location is the beautiful surroundings. We walked everywhere, including the Saaariselka ski resort, and had a fantastic time.

Lovely place, value for money. In Utsjoki amidst the magnificent nature, great friendly hosts. the cottage has everything you need, the washing water and sauna warm up neatly with electricity, the water can be picked up from the opening in the winter. the water of the lake is drinkable and good. Gated area so wonderfully safe with a dog. This wasn't the first, and certainly not the last time at the Utsjoki cottage, our favorite place!

A truly unique & alternative experience away from the more touristy/gimmicky options in Lapland. Teemu is an amazing host & made sure we had the perfect stay. When we arrived, he welcomed us with a warm fire, a snow-chilled bottle of champagne & an evening sleigh ride down the frozen river. When we didn’t have plans, he gave us local suggestions & made phone calls on our behalf. His adventures/experiences were also so much fun & we would highly recommend booking at least one dinner as well as his privately guided snowmobile trip. Teemu is a fantastic chef and we greatly enjoyed a 3 course salmon meal in the cozy & pleasantly decorated dinner cabin. The snowmobile ride is worth the price considering you get a 4hour trip across Teemu’s expansive private land & away from the public trail network. Lunch & photography also included. This is one of our favorite Airbnb’s to date & the pictures don’t do it justice. Our stay surpassed all expectations. Very happy we booked!

Marika is a responsive host that answers any questions pretty much right away. The property is perfect for a small getaway with your loved ones - warm and cozy. 10 out of 10!
