Cabin holiday rentals in Improvement District No. 13

Fantastic Airbnb that looked even better in person. Everything you'd want in a secluded cabin. Kaila & Cory were excellent communicators and had the location prestine and ready to go for our large party. We will stay here again if we are ever in the area. I highly recommend a stay at the Cattage.

This was our second time coming out to birds and branches. First was winter,then may long. The leaves were out and birds and and squirrels were abundant There’s nothing like getting up in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee sitting on a deck, listening to the birds sing nothing can compare to that The fridge and pantry contained numerous condiments, even a stick of butter, which we actually forgot to bring butter out. There was four of us out for the May long and everybody agreed it was our best may long weekend Thank you holly for your hospitality

We had a lovely time at this rental. We really liked how it felt away from the city but was also a very easy drive to all the necessities. The furnishings were high quality and it was very clean and modern. We were disappointed that the hot tub wasn't working but the host did everything they could to fix it. Hopefully they are able to get it fixed for future guests. The host was extremely helpful and responsive in communications. Overall, it was a great rental and we enjoyed our visit. If you are looking for an amazing meal nearby, we highly recommend Joey Sherwood, the service was outstanding and everything we ordered (app, mains and 2 desserts) was delicious!

What a find! Surprised my wife for her birthday with a weekend away at the Thistledew and we had an amazing time. Everything was perfect from the minute we arrived! Brandy was great host and was more than accommodating with everything provided at the cabin! Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be visiting again in the future.

Absolutely incredible place! The cabin is so beautiful and well built. There are thoughtful touches all around. The view of the pond while drinking your coffee in the morning is pure bliss. All kinds of birds, ducks and other wildlife. 20 minute drive to Elk Island! We will definitely be back!

A wonderful retreat on a beautiful heritage property. The log house is huge and yet so cozy. The windows let wonderful light in. We loved our stay and would come again to stay longer. We had planned to go to Cooking Lake Rec Area but stayed and walked the trails through out the forest, grassland and bog.

5 Plus Stars – A Hidden Gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed—there was a personalized welcome sign and a lovely thank-you card waiting for us. The cabin itself was absolutely immaculate: cozy, warm, and inviting. Every detail was thought of, from the extremely clean space to the incredibly comfortable beds. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to cook our meals, and we spent our evenings snuggled up on the couch, fully enjoying the peaceful, homey atmosphere. Cheryl went above and beyond—after a big snowfall, she made sure a path to the walking trails was cleared for us and even set up a fire pit, complete with firewood. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. This cabin is a true hidden gem. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and just relax, this is it. We’ll definitely be returning. The entire experience was 5+ stars!

Amazing stay! An airbnb stay plus experience. I will definitely book this again! The host was communicative from the confirmation of booking until the end. The place was clean and homey. The ranch had trails to walk around and majestic bisons to watch. Robert was super nice to get us close to them 😍. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice weekend getaway!

Connor was beyond accommodating. The space was spotless and decorated beautifully. It was peaceful and cozy with a comforting aura of sorts - kind of nostalgic of sorts, like your dad’s garage. I loved the theme of the space and enjoyed finding something new to see and admire. It was located in such a peaceful area that was quiet but so close to the city and all of its amenities. I loved being able to watch the train and the cows graze in the morning and really appreciated the reminder to stop and enjoy it. I can’t sing enough praises in regard to the cleanliness of the space. It truly was spotless. I loved the addition of the balcony/outdoor space and fireplace too. I would absolutely book here again next time I am in town. I’m disappointed I didn’t get to stay for longer.

WOW!!!! I can't thank Joanne and Wes enough for their perfect hospitality. There is such a difference in Airbnbs that were created for the sole purpose of generating income and those that are carefully curated with love. Joanne's place is beyond perfect if you are needing some "vitamin N" (Nature) and some peace and quiet! It was perfect in absolutely every way, and my weekend there gave healing to my soul. Wes and Joanne were absolutely perfect hosts: equally available if I needed anything and understanding my craving for solitude! Joanne shared that she and her husband had lived for a year in the cabin they are renting out, and it's evident with all the itty bitty details. This cabin is my definition of luxurious in the most beautiful surroundings. If you're a nature lover craving some solitude without isolation (and a very comfy bed) you'll fall in love with their place. Thank you for the perfect hospitality!
