Located on a hill with a good view, you can overlook the scenery of Nara from the veranda and the second floor windows. We created a clean and comfortable space with the image of a home where you can stay as if it were your own. There are 4 rooms, each with 2 single beds. 15 minutes by cable car from Torii-mae Station, a 10-minute walk, to Ikoma Mountain Amusement Park, the night view of Osaka from the top of the mountain is so good that it was certified by the "COOL JAPAN AWARD 2019". In addition, the approach to Horyu-ji Temple, which starts right next to the house, has restaurants with good views, so you can enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere. The early morning walk is very refreshing. Ikoma Station is a 10-minute walk and is a convenient station with 4 lines. There are hills and stairs from Ikoma station, so if you have large luggage, I recommend taking a taxi from the station (about 700 yen) 10-minute walk to supermarket, department store, and restaurants. This unique place has a style all its own. Newly built and opened in October 2023, the host lives in the management room on the ground floor, but it feels like you are renting the entire building. The entire 2nd floor is private. The spacious LDK, centered around the Graftec island kitchen, is of course the most characteristic space of the villa, but the sky terrace, with its outdoor sofa, sauna (available from 18: 00 to 22: 00), jacuzzi, and a projector up to 100 inches, allows you to enjoy movies and more. In addition, there is a full-scale BBQ grill from Broil King, made in Canada, so you can enjoy a barbecue at any time, and you can also enjoy the feeling of glamping. (The BBQ grill is better suited for thick steaks than for so-called yakiniku meat.) In addition, the Osaka/Kansai Expo will be held from April 13, 2025, and the venue can be reached in as little as 90 minutes from the nearest station (Kizu Station, about 15 minutes on foot).

Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

You have a great nice view of the city of Nara and Ikoma. from the balcony of 2nd,3rd floor. The 2nd floor bed room catches the morning sun ,birds voice . Ikomayama-mountain itself is a power spot . And a place where you can receive power from the ancient city of Nara. So "Kerinosu" is a power spot! You can drink enough tea -Tochucha-from my garden ,I dried is delicious &good for your health. Receivable a healing exercise that is a meditation mixed Kerinosu- yoga movements if you like.

Very classic Japanese homestay, beautifully decorated.Although it is a bit far from the city center, it is in a residential area. When you walk from the B&B to the station, you can see other Japanese-style houses, which is very atmospheric.The price is actually about the same as the hotel in the city center, the main thing is the experience. The host Makoto is very nice, pick up and drop off for check-in and check-out, and will introduce the facilities around the homestay when you check in.We tried the Osakayaki he recommended, and it was quite delicious.There are also different activities every month, and if you catch up, you can join guests from different countries.

My Japan journey has come to an end. Hirotoshi-San, it was a great pleasure meeting you and your family. Again, I realize that none of the attractions and sights can replace talk and discussion with local people. We didn't spend much time together, but you managed to make us feel like home. I'm greatly thankful for that. Don't hesitate; we used to think about you a lot in a 3 by 3 room in Kyoto. 😁 I wish you guys the very best; you deserve it. To people that read my review, don't think twice. Very quiet neighborhood, close to subway station. A lot of conbinies and restaurants around. And yes, at least 3 7/11 in 5 minutes from home. You can eat famichiki with curry bread and never leave your block. Also 40 minutes to Nara, just be carefull no to be confused JR subway with metro. ありがとうございます!

The owner and the room are very good, and the yard is also very beautiful.Very happy to experience a traditional Japanese room.The check-in information was like handwritten, very thoughtful, and there was a name tag at the door.I tasted the fruit tea made by the hostess☺️ and she asked if she needed to send me to the station the next day.The house is downhill under another smaller entrance of Koizumi Shrine, and the surroundings are quiet.It was raining on the way there. At first, I walked to the main gate of the shrine (actually, I could just walk through the shrine), but I met a very kind grandfather who searched the map and sent me to the door. I was really lucky.I found a delicious restaurant nearby.

The boss is super nice, proactively helping to move luggage, and lending us a flashlight and stick to climb Mount Dajishan at night.It is very convenient to tour the Blow Man Sanctuary. When you come out, it is the Kuya West Bridge (Uji Bridge). Walk along the Uji River and there is Kumiko's chair.
