Apartment holiday rentals in Idylwood

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The apartment was spotless and spacious. It had everything needed to enjoy the space. The neat and clean design of the apartment was not only aesthetically pleasing but also very functional. Overall we enjoyed staying at the apartment immensely. Would highly recommend this place.

Ashok was friendly and easy to get in touch with. He gave me all the details for check in a couple days in advance so I wasn’t stressed at the last minute. The space was great and near the Metro station so it was easy to get into DC or surrounding areas. Also there is street parking if you have a car. The house was equipped with everything we needed and lots of good sitting areas. The kitchen is a bit tight for making big meals but great for all your basic needs. The outdoor space was great for having morning coffee and enjoying the weather. The sound does travel inside similar to an apartment with upstairs neighbors but his friendly communication made it comfortable to discuss anything if it came up.

So, I actually purchased this as a gift for a love niece of mine and her husband. I live in Tennessee, so I will say that the communication with Janine made me feel comfortable to put my total faith that things would go smoothly. Apparently, they did: Per my niece: "My husband and I stayed at the Happy Tree House for our babymoon. The space was very clean and tidy. The backyard was my favorite part! As well as the comfortable bed. Janine took great care of us and was very proactive. Definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the Alexandria area."

This place was perfect for my short stay in DC! The apartment was spotless and decorated beautifully. I appreciated the clear check-in instructions and quick responses from the hosts whenever I had a question. The stocked fridge was also a nice touch that I appreciated after a long drive! Would definitely recommend.

The apartment was very clean and had every amenity you could think of. Snacks, water, coffee, creamers, toothpaste and toothbrushes. Very welcoming and cozy. This area is also a good choice. Walkable with lots of shops and restaurants. The bunk beds and trundle plus a sofa that was long enough to use as a bed worked fine for our group of three. There’s a cute patio as well, but June in the DC area is HOT. Would definitely stay here again.

Sam has gone above and beyond to describe how to find the place, but I still managed to go to the wrong building. I don’t fault Sam at all, I only mean to say that you can walk right past the correct entrance because it’s unobtrusive while there is a very prominent entrance on the opposite side of the street that can suck you right in. Just pay attention and actually read the address in the listing and in the building and you won’t make the same mistake I did. Beyond that, I was very impressed. The unit is amazingly clean! It’s a pretty compact space, but feels quite spacious, probably because of the very high ceilings and the “wall of windows” looking out onto a nice, treed, interior courtyard. Very pleasing and tranquil. Since it was raining I didn’t walk anywhere, but I’m familiar with the area so I know it is very close to a lot of nice restaurants and shopping. And having a Harris Teeter grocery store accessible directly from the building’s elevator is supremely convenient.

I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable — everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The neighborhood is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and perfect for exploring or just enjoying the scenery. Marie is a fantastic host — so kind, welcoming, and thoughtful throughout my stay. I would definitely come back and stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

The rental was as shown in the photos. Easily walkable and centrally located to great restaurants (Tatte across the street had delicious breakfasts and sandwiches) and the waterfront. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very close to Reagan Int'l Airport, so you will hear planes taking off.

This was a perfect stay. The host (Kelly) was responsive and went above and beyond to accommodate various requests and provide additional information about the neighborhood (which was stunning, walkable and safe). She even provided an extension cord for an EV charger which ultimately wasn’t needed. The unit itself was as thoughtful as the host. It was recently renovated and all the right investments were made—quality materials, excellent use of space, large kitchen sink, motion activated lights along the walkway outside…even the kitchen utensils and other amenities were on point such as pantry items, a high quality robe and towels, soft wash cloths, and more. Nothing about this unit was an afterthought. It’s clear a great deal of intention and care went into ensuring guests have a seamless experience. I couldn’t have been more impressed. 10/10 would recommend!

We had another great stay with Olga. Wonderful neighborhood, so close to everything. This is our second stay and it’s truly a home away from home. We appreciate the stay!

This place is amazing. Katie was kind enough to prepare the jacuzzi for us as we were tired of driving 8+ hours during our roadtrip so it was a great relaxing time there. Also, had a great chat with Katie who is very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this place to everyone. We'll definitely come back again on our way back home from this roadtrip!

AirBNB was nice and well kept, looked exactly like the photos. The walls are kind of thin, but it was a good location, price, and the bed was nice and cozy. I would stay again! No complaints.

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in the DC area! Anju, our host, was incredibly responsive and friendly, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. The space was spotless, clean, and very comfortable, exactly what we needed. This place had all the amenities needed for a relaxing and convenient stay, from a well-equipped kitchen to Wi-Fi. I couldn’t have asked for more, and the price was very fair. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll definitely be looking to stay here again. I was here to finish up my internship after an emergency move was needed from my previous apartment. It exceeded expectations. From small details like putting a bottle of wine out with a note to big details like a full guidebook of the area - Uches place was fabulous. The care was a breath of fresh air in comparison to many other experiences. Would absolutely recommend

AMAZING AIRBNB!!! easy access, easy parking, great communication from host, and LOTS of amenities that most airbnbs do not have. we were able to use cleaning supplies, cook food, wash dishes, etc. very peaceful and calm neighborhood as well. will always recommend!!!

TODD’S is KING! We have been searching for our new home & have stayed in 2 of their buildings. TODDs’ customer service has been fast, reliable & friendly! TODD’s has made us feel relaxed & welcomed during our visits. Our cat feels at home here, too! He has been anxious in other Abnbs, so it’s a great benefit. Their units are clean & stocked with essentials — like bathroom, laundry & kitchen supplies. The bed is super comfy as is the living room couch. The TV is large & U can stream your favorite channels. They even supply a safe — for your valuables — and an ironing board & iron for that quick press! A big closet, too! We have very much appreciated TODD’S staff for many reasons. They WANT to help & they WANT their guests happy. They went out of their way to help us elongate our stay, when we realized we needed more time! They kindly juggled other reservations to ensure we could stay longer. Such a pleasant surprise & experience! We recommend TODD’s highly!

It was a great and very calm place to stay!

We loved staying at Hidden Gardens. It was very clean and Noris made it extra special with all her personal touches to make us feel very special. The garden out back is very relaxing and just beautiful. We loved sitting out there and enjoying all the beautiful flowers and greenery. Noris is an excellent host and amazing person. She made us feel special and we felt right at home. I can’t wait to go back. Noris is a “super-host”.

We stayed one month at Saber's place. The place had all the basic things we needed. The location was great for using the metro and buses to DC. We walked to Georgetown and National Mall. There were plenty of good restaurants around and Safeway and Target nearby. We were two females, but felt safe walking around the area and even at night. Saber was proactive in communicating and responded quickly to questions.

Arshams listing is wonderful! Everything was so clean and fit all 5 of us so comfortably! We loved the tea options 😍. It was in perfect walking distances from great food, coffee places (and fun little bevs) as well as an easy walk to the metro! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Place was just as described and worked out great for a place to stay down the street from the Gaylord.

This was a lovely Airbnb, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was thoughtfully appointed, featuring a basket in the bathroom for miscellaneous items that guests often forget. The check-in process was straightforward and smooth. We had no trouble finding parking nearby, which is an ever-present concern when staying in Washington, DC. The hosts anticipated the guests' every need and were very responsive to the few questions that we had. The back of the unit has a charming back balcony, and the location was super convenient to the townhouse of our son, daughter-in-law, and their two little boys. Overall, I would highly recommend this Airbnb!
