Peace of Nature Rustic Retreat is located in a beautiful wooded property between a lake and a pond and wetland. The retreat features private entrance & covered patio with woods & lake views. A bird watchers dream with a variety of woodpeckers, nuthatch, hummingbirds, Bluejays & cardinals. Just north of Big Lake, it's close to the Sherburne County Wildlife Refuge and Sand Dunes. Several good swimming and fishing lakes are very close by, including Eagle Lake. The public lake access is about 4 miles away. 1 garage space for guests. Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

Sanders Lodge @Three Acre Woods

You can sleep well after a long day of snowmobiling, hunting, fishing or sight seeing at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Sit around the campfire in the evening and relax. This has a queen bed, twin trundle bed and comfy couch for sleeping. In the kitchenette there is a full size fridge, a two burner stove, microwave, coffee pot, blender and a toaster/pizza/convection oven. Be aware, you will have to share the party room side with some homeschoolers on Wednesday mornings.
