Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Houserville

Beautiful home just off the river. Karen was so nice and responsive. She left treats and drinks for us and made us feel right at home. The home was so clean, cozy, wonderfully decorated, and was extremely pet friendly. 35 min drive to Knoebels but worth it to bring the dogs along. Loved the small fenced in yard for our dogs to run, play and potty in. Would love to stay again. HIGHLY recommend!!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very accommodating for our wedding along with the location that went along with the wedding venue. It was very peaceful and quiet place to stay. Enjoyed it very much.

OMG, I had the best time at this Airbnb! The host was super responsive and helped me with everything I needed. I'd totally recommend this place to my friends - it's a must-stay!

Nice, old rustic house has been modernized with nice decor. Jennifer was responsive and such a sweetheart. There were multiple folded towels and washcloths on each bed with a chocolate mint added, various toiletries multiple throws/blankets, and TVs in every BR. I brought my service dog and it was a joy to see entrance separators so I could close off the steps outside but sit back on the deck with him and enjoy the weather and view. The game room was a special touch along with the hot tub, and four BRs with Queens and Kings versus smaller size beds (i.e., twin-size or full). The house was fully stocked with everything one would or could use from a myriad of kitchen utensils, kitchenware, spices, etc. Each BR and living areas are individually controlled, which is great, but the the heating/cooling system could use some tweaks and perhaps upgrades. Some cobwebs on the ceilings of one of the bedrooms so some dusting inside and on the deck. Overall, peaceful; loved it!

This place was like a needle in the hay stack. We had a great time and the kids loved it here and to water was right there. Happy to be there. Thinking of booking it again in the future

We had a great stay at this small, cute house while attending an event at Penn State. The home had all the essentials we needed for a comfortable overnight stay, and the quiet neighborhood made it easy to relax. TVs in every room were a nice touch, and the surprise bonus third room—converted from a closet—actually worked out perfectly for our group. It suited our needs well and made for a pleasant visit.

Milagro’s place worked perfectly for our family. We were in State College for the PIAA golf championship, and the house was a convenient 10 minute drive to the PSU golf courses. Milagros was kind enough to let me check in a little early, which was very helpful. The house was clean and comfortable, with the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Milagros was very responsive every time that I sent her a message, and I really appreciated that. The house was in a quiet neighborhood, but was close to restaurants and grocery stores. We would definitely book this home again if we are ever in the State College area. Thank you, Milagros, for a very comfortable stay!

Rented from Craig and Maria for a family fishing trip for the guys in my family. Eventhough there had been a lot of rain prior to our arrival, Craig made sure the guys knew alternative fishing spots. The guys said many times how comfortable the house was and they were all able to relax for a few days. The fire pit was an awesome amenity and was used on a nightly basis for traditional story telling and a few libations. Great time was had by all!!!

Garys Base Camp provided a quiet and comfortable stay for our daughter and friends as they took advantage of the areas autumn offerings and State College experiences. They're already looking forward to their future rebooking. Nice work Gary!

We had a most wonderful stay! Adam is the best host! The place is quiet and peaceful with a parking space available and free! We will definitely be back and stay with him again when we visit Harrisburg and Hershey Park next time!

The studio was clean, spacious, and well thought out especially for a long term stay. I appreciated the stocked supplies. I also really loved having the river as a view! Overall, I had a comfortable stay with really no issues.

Host was very flexible and accommodating. Much appreciated. Convenient to the fairgrounds. Nicely optioned kitchen. Only minor detractors were low ceilings (my 6ft 4 husband kept knocking it when dressing), and a noisey krinkly plastic mattress cover. The bed was very comfortable but the mattress cover made is hotter than we like, even with just a sheet to sleep with. We would stay again. Recommend. We liked the lighted off street parking!

We had a great, but really short, stay at Ellie's place. The place is very nice, well-equipped, and in a great location. One block away from the river and very close to downtown. I hope we can stay there again in the future.

Amy was so thoughtful with all the small amenities she provided, it made us feel right at home. The fireplace was a cozy plus. the place was spacious and so clean and updated.

This was our second stay. The space was quite comfortable and adequate for our needs. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than we had planned.
