Lake house holiday rentals in Houghton Lake

We stay in airbnbs often. This was by far the best in all categories we have ever been. Response time was amazing, all amenities present and little to no thought was needed by us for what we needed. Everything from toilet paper, paper towels, coffee etc was present. We enjoyed every moment and created many precious memories with our family. It is obvious a lot of thought went into this space and even with little kids things were perfect! We felt safe and had plenty of space for the amount of people present. So welcoming and clean.

This was perfect for our little getaway from home! The water was so relaxing as well as kept the kids busy. They generously have paddle boards and kayaks which were a huge hit. The board games surprisingly kept our teens busy for hours at night so we loved having those. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We had a blast at Laurie's place! Even on rainy days, there was so much to do. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house, the board games, the Wii, the fully stocked kitchen, and the clean beach area for fishing and swimming. We visited Cadillac numerous times and appreciated the hospitality in the town. Thanks for a great stay, Laurie!

Such a peaceful stay at Jamie’s place. It was very clean and the setting along the river was so peaceful. I really appreciated how they had wood to use for a bonfire. Would definitely come back!!

Wonderful long weekend with kids and grandkids. The lake is small but we loved the pontoon, kayaks and the hot tub and the grandkids really enjoyed fishing off the dock and catching the little blue gills. Plenty of space for the 10 of us and loved that we could bring our dogs along. The house is so cute and wonderfully decorated and we loved all the little touches. Thank you for a wonderful space! We highly recommend!

Great place by the lake which was full of bass that our boys were catching. Lots of beds and places to sleep in the house and back enclosed porch. Being able to use the kayaks and paddle boards was great too.

My family and I stayed here for a Memorial weekend. We were able to relax and unwind in the beautiful house and yard. We loved the wood supply for outdoor fires and the kitchen for the ability to cook 2 dinners and all breakfast meals in it. We appreciated the comfort of the house and the quietness of the neighborhood

Wonderful place to take the family and relax for Father's Day. This was one of the best Father's Day we were able to spend together as a family.

Book it! Go enjoy the state parks, higgins lake, the zoo, miles of trails for bikes or walking and have a beautiful place to call home for the night. Food and ice cream all over the area. It's the kinda of place where they make you pump your gas befor you pay. Took my boat and overall it was just a great time! The place is clean and quiet. I doubt you will be disappointed.

Perfect for the whole family. We booked for my son’s 3rd birthday and I’m so glad we did! We had trouble finding an Airbnb that was dog friendly without a weight limit. Not only did they allow our gentle giant, they accommodated him with inside and outside crating. It was a bit chilly but my son stayed busy the whole week. There was plenty of toys for inside as well as the beach. The water was shallow enough that it warmed up quick despite the wind. We did lots of fishing both off the dock and on the boats. We caught blue gill, bass, and perch. The house was cozy but big enough for all our guests. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, especially with all the stuff we didn’t think to bring. There was also plenty of linens. We enjoyed the amenities and the lake vibe decorations. The location was close to cutesty Lake City and a doable drive to the big cities. We would book again for our next trip to Traverse City!

We had a wonderful stay. The house was cozy and we felt very at home. Comfy beds, this home has everything and more. Lots of games, activities, the hot tub was an added bonus. Beautiful neighborhood. It was a perfect week get away! We will be back!!!

The house was beautifully decorated and remodeled. Overall everything was great and I would definitely like to stay there again if I was vacationing in the area.

This air b&b is awesome. Had a golf trip with a bunch of guys and it was super accommodating and comfy. Open living room perfect for group hangouts and conversations. Would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful home on the canal! We were able to park our boat at the house for the weekend and the launch is right down the road. Hosts were always responsive and informative. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this Fife Lake Airbnb! The home was spotless and beautifully modern, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the lake, absolutely peaceful and picturesque. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

We had an awesome weekend stay at Higgins hideout. Tara, was an amazing host. She was very hospitable, and quick to reply with any questions we had. The property was as beautiful as described, inside and out. Not to mention the convenience of the state park/boat launch being only a couple minute drive! We will definitely be back!

We had a very nice stay in this very clean cabin. House hold supplies were plentiful. One could practically check in without much luggage and stay for weeks on ends. Owners do a very good job up keeping this property.
