Lake house holiday rentals in Hoover

We were there for a golf outing. The house was a great place to hang out after playing golf all day. The location is remote so there are not a lot of restaurants in the area. The kitchen at the house is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking at the house.

Our family had a wonderful time on Lay Lake. The provided kayaks were great for the teenagers and the littles fished off the dock. We enjoyed everything. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved the peace, quiet and seclusion of the cabin. View from deck overlooking the lake was beautiful. I caught a few fish from the dock. Just remember you will be in the country and there are bugs so bring your bug spray if ya plan on sitting on the deck. The cabin was nice and clean and had all we needed for our 2 day stay. I would recommend a suv or truck for the incline from gate to property down to cabin. Mr Bert was very responsive and informative on place to check out. Majestic Caverns was amazing and the little gas station/restaurant 7 miles from cabin had the best breakfast. Only thing I would recommend an update on is both beds (me & hubby had to sleep in separate rooms). As mentioned on another review about the AC wall unit, you can't close bedroom doors if it's hot and if I booked during summer I would bring a fan to blow air in bedroom but other than that it was PERFECT and highly recommend this little piece of Heaven on Earth!!

We loved our stay & Paula’s home. We felt right at home. Paula was phenomenal at communicating as well as making us feel at home. I highly recommend. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip down.

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The cottage in comfortable and had everything we needed. The location and grounds were picture perfect. I wish we had a boat to take full advantage of the dock and gorgeous lake, but it was still a peaceful place to rest up.

Beautiful home with plenty of space! Loved the setup of the bunk room, quite creative. We didn't know the pool wasn't open yet, which was a bummer, but Garry called and provided other entertainment options, going above and beyond. Turned out to be a rainy weekend anyway. Lots to do, inside and out. We even caught some BIG fish in the pond. Pickleball was a big hit, even in the rain. Highly recommend.

I very much enjoyed our stay! I felt like i was home!! I went back to Bama to visit family, and felt right at home there!! I know the area so that made it all the much better for me! House was lovely!! Creek in back was beautiful!!!! It was so relaxing when we were at the house! Will definitely consider another stay at the house! Thank you!
