Holiday rentals with a kayak in Hood County

The place was great and really clean when we got there. We stayed for 5 weeks and had a great time. They were amazing hosts and if we needed anything or had questions they were there. If we have an opportunity to stay with them again we will! 10/10

This was the perfect home for our multi-family stay with young kids! The house was well stocked with a crib, toys, books and games, and the pool and fishing access were a huge hit. The house was clean and comfortable! Very quick drive from the house into the Granbury town square. We would stay again!

Our family of 4 (+ our dog) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorhaus on Lake Granbury. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was very well provisioned and the beds were comfortable. We loved the game room and spent a lot of time playing ping pong & shuffleboard, but also really enjoyed cooking s'mores over the fire pit. It is an incredibly peaceful spot on the lake. The Canadian Geese and ducks seemed to enjoy it too! We didn't need much help, but both Mike & Christine were very quick & responsive when we had some questions. Loved it and we'd definitely go back.

If you are looking for a lake house right on the water with paddle boats and canoes to enjoy fun in the sun in Granbury, this is your home. A beautiful neighborhood, friendly atmosphere right on the water wish we could have stayed longer but we had to get back to work. This is a gem on the lake. So much room great kitchen barbecue pit worked great for a nice home-cooked meal.

The house was nice and peaceful, it had its own private dock you can go down to and relax.

We absolutely loved our stay and wished we could stay longer. The community pool was great. It was a beautiful view and so cool being on property with the amazing longhorns. We had delicious farm fresh eggs and steak to cook on our stay too. Family and pet friendly. Would be great for large groups interested in renting multiple cabins. We loved the house layout, it was perfect for two families. Beds were really comfortable too. A really fun and peaceful trip.

Third time renting and I always enjoy staying here to get away for a weekend and get some fresh air and sun. River was higher than normal and we took advantage of it. Wildlife is abundant, a pair of owls graced us with their presence each evening once the sun went behind the trees. Perfect trip.

This is such a peaceful place and our toddler girls enjoyed it so much! We are already planning a second visit. Thank you!

What an amazing place to stay! We stayed over Thanksgiving and it was close enough to Ft. Worth to visit friends and Granbury where we had some work to do the next couple of days. Super peaceful and comfortable! Wish we had more time to be able to explore the ranch! The shower was fantastic and I was determined to use the hot tub even though it was cold outside! Really unique experience staying in a safari tent. I highly recommend it!

This is more than a place yo stay: it is a retreat and a place to reset and recharge. You can pet all the livestock, walk the river, swim, visit the adorable downtown (just a short walk away), or enjoy the peace and serenity from the rocking chairs on the porch. I hope to go back soon!

We had a great time . The hostess was very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed all the amenities - especially the big dock and kayaks! The space was small - but perfect for a weekend away with my husband ! Highly recommended 😁

One of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had! The riverfront ranch setting in Mineral Wells was peaceful and beautiful. The decor was charming and cozy, and the home had everything I could ask for—from a fully stocked kitchen with top-notch cookware, to pet-friendly touches like treats and toys for my pups. Fishing in the backyard was amazing—spotted gar were biting nonstop! Can’t wait to come back.

Our family of 15 people had a wonderful stay at the Cabins of Palo Pinto! We loved the patio space where you could hang out with your whole group to play games and eat together!! The 6 kids (ages between 9-15) loved playing in the lake and utilizing the kayaks that were provided! We loved all the special extras that host Casandra provided like outdoor games, dish soap, towels, some kitchen essentials, bug spray, firewood ect….. We had a small issue during our stay and host Cassandra was quick to respond and had a person out quickly to fix it!!! It was the perfect mix of outdoor camping experience with the comfort for each individual family to get away in the air conditioning with a bed!!

What a beautiful little hideaway on Granbury Lake! Clean and pristine! I LOVE the decor! It was adorable and so well put together! The beds were WONDERFUL! SUPER comfy!! So much that I had to ask where she got them so I could get one myself! Loved the soaking tub as well as the hot tub. The view of the lake is wonderful—really adds to the peaceful setting. The fire pit was a fun way to end the day. We enjoyed our meals on the deck, though you might want to bring some bug repellent and citronella candles or torches to repel bugs and mosquitoes, as you’re at the lake with lots of typical wildlife and water around you. It’s also close to the town square as well as groceries. We personally had Amazon and Walmart deliver groceries and other items. I honestly was impressed how quickly aforos got back to us when we had questions—even late at night—I kind of felt bad for her to be so on call all the time—she is really devoted to making sure your stay is wonderful! I look forward to next time!
