If you want to stay overnight in the Plattenland, this is absolutely recommended. The description already indicated that it is “back to the basics” staying overnight, so you should definitely take that into account. The chalets are simple but cozy, with a kitchenette, water heater with tap water and heating for a pleasant temperature. The plumbing is in a shared space, and while it is not luxurious, everything is functional with simple showers and toilets. The absolute highlight? Each chalet has its own jacuzzi with views over the country. You can also make your own campfire, although you have to arrange wood yourself. The only thing to take into account is that the chalets are next to each other and the path to the shared sanitary facilities runs along the chalets. So there is no complete privacy and tranquility. But that doesn't take away from this great experience of staying “on the farm”, where you wake up in the morning with a view over the countryside and the day starts in your own jacuzzi

What a lovely cottage!! We enjoyed the tranquility and the hot tub..the cottage and garden offer a lot of privacy! Sjoukje responds quickly when something is needed. And what a service that the hot tub is already warm when you arrive!

The property was amazing, in a very beautiful village with peaceful scenery. The hosts provided us with free bicycles which we used in the mornings to visit nearby villages. We used the hot tub twice and sauna once, which was worth it and very enjoyable. The hot tub and sauna was for our private use and we had full privacy. The only small problem we had was that there were no restroom on the 2nd floor where the sleeping room was. Other than that we definitely recommend the property.

Martha's place is perfect for everyone who enjoys country side. It's a perfect mix of natural beauty and modern amenities. Apart from the place and amenities, Martha is very nice and welcoming person. Even though we arrived by the night, she stayed up to welcome and show us the place. On the next day, we could see her cattle and horses together with her. It was nice and refreshing experience. We would love to stay at her place again :)

The accommodation was very clean and well equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect, very quiet. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our time here very much and would definitely recommend this accommodation.

I was very satisfied with the entire booking and the stay on site. We were not there long, as we were on a fishing tour all over Holland and only slept in the accommodation. However, the accommodation invites you to stay longer. Small cozy garden and you can use the grill. The cottage is sufficiently equipped with everything you need. The rooms are a bit small, but if that doesn't matter to you, you can have a nice time there.

Charming and equipped with everything, surrounded by nature and with the possibility of cooking, barbecue and relaxing even outside. Picturesque village surrounded by greenery and nature just a few kilometers from the main towns and 40 km from amsterdam. Great experience

The accommodation was great, as described and in the pictures. We enjoyed it very much. Only the access road was officially closed and therefore we had some problems getting to the hut at first. Nevertheless, we had a great accommodation and would come back anytime! Plus point: dogs allowed!

Accommodation (cottage) remarkable for its quiet location and its authentic decoration and with great taste, a (real) Dutch country house! Beautiful view from the kitchen / dining room over the countryside, in the gardens of many birds. Carina is a very efficient and discreet person. We would recommend this lovely house very warmly, we had a great week there. Good option also to visit the country, nothing is really far away. In addition the small historic town of Hoorn is charming, and there are 3 supermarkets and many shops, bars, restaurants just 12 Km away. We'll be back as soon as we can… Didier & Yency

A very cozy cottage with lots of greenery around. It's wonderful to look outside, even in the rain and wind. Saskia is very nice and helpful. Recommended for when you want to sit in the green. And nice decor, cozy and personal.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Alkmaar! It is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer, yet it also provides a beautiful, peaceful escape from the business and crowds. Han and Kelly were great hosts, providing helpful recommendations and even rides from the train station and into Alkmaar. We also enjoyed hanging out with the dog, cat and chickens! We would definitely stay here again.

very nice apartment, arranged in a way to take advantage of all the spaces. The veranda outside was super relaxing, just as shown in the photo. The bathroom is not too large, but still comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The only thing is the private parking that was not possible to use, because we always found it occupied: - (.

We had a wonderful few days at Jody and Huib's beautiful place. The chalet is fantastically located – both the sea and the IJsselmeer can be reached quickly, and some places worth seeing in the area can also be easily accessed. The accommodation was sparkling clean and superbly equipped – there was really everything you need for a comfortable stay. There were useful utensils in the kitchen, and even in the bathroom everything was thought of – perfect in case you forgot something. The rooms are very tasteful and decorated with a lot of love for detail – you feel welcome from the first moment. The private garden access was ideal for our dog who could move freely there. However, the absolute highlight was the direct water access with private area – simply fantastic. We will be happy to come back and can highly recommend the accommodation as well as the hosts Jody and Huib:)

We felt right at home at Tiba. It was a very nice stay that we enjoyed together with my family. We highly recommend this place. The farm is very private, quiet and full of lovable animals. Tiba prepares a flawless and lovingly made breakfast basket every day. A great pleasure right after getting up. The sauna is awesome and the beds are super comfortable, you don't want to get up. Thank you very much for a relaxing weekend!

The owner was always available! Checking in and out was hassle-free. There were four of us there. 2 adults and 2 children. The place was very clean!

The cabin is simply a dream in the middle of the countryside! So lovingly made and you can relax so wonderfully and let your mind wander. Just as beautiful as in the photos, so definitely recommended! It is wonderfully quiet, but you can also be in the next town in a few minutes. The apartment is clean and cozy and you have what you need. I'm sure we'll be back! Judith and Juul are so nice and helpful, that's not a given! :)

We are a family with children and stayed in the apartment for 2 nights. Everything went as expected, the parking lot was free in front of the cottage, the supermarket is about 3 km away, a playground is located on the other campsite 300 m away. The apartment was clean and well appointed.
