Cottage holiday rentals in Heysham

We booked Upper Crumble cottage to celebrate my husbands birthday and my retirement. It was everything we wanted it to be . The setting is amazing, so beautiful and peaceful. The blue bell wood was in flower and well worth the walk around. The cottage itself was spotless, good quality bedding/towels. Well stocked kitchen, we ate out at a few recommended restaurants from an abundance of leaflets etc in the cottage, but also cooked and had cosy nights in after any days that had involved alot of walking. The hot tub was that little extra to feel really pampered. Sarah and Stewart were extremely helpful and were more than happy to show us the amazing garden and let us stroll round at our leisure. It has to be seen to be believed, stunning. The cottage is perfectly placed to visit many places, most were 20-30 mins away, some closer. We felt so at home, if only it was!! Hosts superb, and that's not because they provided some bubbly to help us celebrate. We will most certainly be back.

What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Stunning property, location was great for the wedding we attended in Poulton, it would also serve as a great base for exploring the local area. The house was exceptionally clean and Jill was very proactive and flexible with the sleeping arrangements for the 8 adults in our family party. It was very homely with everything you would possibly need. Jill even ran out with her personal sewing kit when we had a wardrobe emergency which saved the day. The bedrooms were lovely and spacious and the bedding luxurious. The bathrooms were spotless, We would highly recommend a stay here, it did not disappoint in the slightest. Worth every penny!!

Had an incredible mini break here! The cottage is GORGEOUS, big and super clean! The hot tub was hot on our arrival and the garden is nice and private. The hot tub is super easy to drain and refill to keep it hot. It’s decorated lovely and the bed is MASSIVE! Wasn’t fighting my parter for space. Loads of places to park near by, lovely peaceful walk at the church up the road and along the water front. The pub literally 2 doors up has AMAZING food and a lovely garden. Only 10 minute drive from morecambe. Fran is a wonderful host and really helpful. Will definitely be back here, never felt more relaxed, didn’t want to come home!❤️

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Wonderful 5-night stay at Chestnut Cottage after Rob completed the Great Glen Way & West Highland Way in 6 days! @freemanwalking on YouTube 😀 The hot tub was a real treat for soothing sore muscles. Stunning bay views made the cottage the perfect place to relax. The bed was super comfy, and we loved the little extra touches like the soft robes and complimentary tea, coffee, and milk. Just a short, scenic walk along the promenade to the village for supplies. The weather wasn’t the best, but the cosy cottage more than made up for it. Highly recommend! Thank you Gemma

We had a lovely Easter weekend at Patty's Barn staying in the Purple Pheasant. This really is a special place for a peaceful holiday with beautiful nature trails and coastal walks close by. There's some child friendly activities on site via a games room and football and rugby pitches. The accommodation was very clean to a high standard and communication with Michelle was easy, warm and friendly. My advice is to visit Scorton nearby for a nice family day out - Cockerham itself it small and its a shame the local pub has closed but there is a fantastic brewery - a short 5 mile drive.

We arrived at our holiday home at the same time as Elizabeth. She made us most welcome. Recommended the Farmer pub up the road that was superb but huge portions. Must book we learnt. 20 of our family were staying locally so we met up and had fun packed week. Celebrations of our great granddaughters 1st birthday.

Such an easy place to stay in the South Lakes. Beautiful countryside just minutes away, very quick access to routes through the whole Lake District. Comfy beds, lovely hot shower, plenty of living space. Ample for two couples or a family with slightly older children. We loved our stay. Thank you!

Very comfortable and well equipped cottage for 2 plus dog. Close to all village restaurants and pubs. Private off road parking which is very welcome. Cottage has everything you might need , good wi fi, Samsung smart tv, fully fitted kitchen. Bed is super comfortable and lots of places to walk your dog nearby. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

A lovely property in a peaceful location.

The cottage seemed ideal for the two of us visit local friends and places of interest and that's how it worked out. It was clean, cosy, well equipped and very easily reached, with secure off-road parking. Paul and Julie largely left us to our own devices but were on hand if we needed to contact them for anything. My wife and I would strongly recommend no. 2 Moorend Cottages as a perfect base located in a quiet, pretty village within an easy drive of the Fylde coast, Forest of Bowland, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

this cottage is perfect for a little family retreat, my daughter loved seeing bits of the farm and some animals roaming around, me and my wife loved how secluded it was peaceful and quiet. comfortable interior thought all rooms and great host, lots of local attractions for all ages highly recommended

Beautiful home, everything is perfect for a lovely relaxing break. Great value for money - so much space for two couples - an excellent Airbnb find this is our 2nd time here we love it!

Everything we needed was provided and Simone & Nigel excellent Hosts, beautiful well kept property and perfect location. Royal Hotel was ideal for parking( as located just behind the gate of the cottage ) with superb food and drink. Plenty areas to walk the dogs . Beautiful home. Clean, comfortable bed. Great location with restaurants and walking distance to the ferry. Angela met us to welcome us and answer any questions and recommend places to visit. Highly recommend! Heysham is a beautiful area and so is this home.

An absolutely fantastic host, so friendly. Tina was there to welcome us on our arrival and gave us a full tour of her beautiful cottage along with instructions. Allowed to have a later check out at no extra cost. Highly recommend. 👌

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend away and it was amazing. The cottage itself was beautiful on the inside and out. Very clean and tidy and had every amenity you could want. From a coffee machine to a food processor. There were also a variety of board games and helpful books about the cottage and activities. Very very spacious given the price and felt very luxurious and cosy. Felt immediately at home and I would LOVE to come and stay again once the barn is renovated as that also looks amazing. We went on a walk and saw some stunning views, while of course stopping to see the cows. Amazing amazing amazing. Would absolutely go again!

Stunning location with scenic views from inside the house. Very clean and aesthetically decorated. Peaceful surroundings and not too far from the lakes. We stayed for one night only but would definitely go back for a longer sky-gazing holiday next time.

The most beautiful cottage in a fantastic village. The house was incredibly well equipped and very warm and welcoming. Very helpful guide with lots of great suggestions. It is also right next door to the Heft, which is a superb pub & restaurant. We all loved it and had a fantastic weekend. I highly recommend it and hope to return one day. Thanks

Fantastic venue for stay, didn't want to leave. House was perfect in virtually every way, clean tidy and extreemly well equipped, we didn't need anything other than what was there. When messaged host about a tiny issue (missing laundry bag for used linen) they responded extreemly quickly which was great. We will certainly be going back to this Airbnb again as it was perfect in every way, felt just like being at home, so comfortable. Thanks guys
