Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hérouville-Saint-Clair

Very good stay at Elise's during which we were able to enjoy as a family. A spacious house, with all the useful amenities. Very welcoming, accessible and pleasant hotel! I would highly recommend it!

The property and hosts were both excellent, we had a great time visiting an appreciated the private and beautiful location. It is very close to all Normandy historical attractions yet the property is tucked away in a small village that is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and found the hosts to be truly wonderful people. Highly recommend!

We LOVED our stay in Sommervieu. The house was simply idyllic, surrounded by flowers and with a nearby (but not too close!) field of friendly cows wandering by. The house itself was very quiet, comfortable, and fully equipped, with everything one would need in the kitchen, loads of books and games, and firewood for a roaring fire. We didn’t use the bikes or outdoor seating because the weather didn’t cooperate, but would love to come back and try them someday. Sophie and François were super attentive, offering local suggestions and also pointers for when we moved on to Paris, suggesting a restaurant in Paris where we later had a delicious lunch! Thank you so much for hosting us, we hope to come back!

This is THE MOST amazing location. Pictures do not do this place justice. It felt like we were staying in a Jane Austen novel. Christian and his wife were the sweetest, most patient and helpful hosts. The place was SPOTLESS, the atmosphere was completely idyllic. It was better than expected, we couldn't believe it when we arrived. This was the true, original kind of Airbnb experience. Personal, comfortable, local. Do not hesitate to book. We wanted to just stay and rest and hang out here for a week. Christian went above and beyond to help us when we had some issues with our car. They stopped by to say goodbye and see us off. It will be our favorite memory from our trip .

We had an exceptional stay in this home that exudes authenticity and human warmth. As soon as we arrived, we felt that she had a soul, and we quickly understood why: shaped by our host and her father, it is much more than a construction. Here, wood and stone are not just materials, they carry the trace of those who worked them with love. The hospitality was very generous. Always available despite his busy days, our host responded kindly to all our questions – and we had a lot of them! Beyond the comfort and charm of the place, it is a real immersion in a way of life more respectful of nature that has marked us. Here, ecology is not a simple word, but a sincere and coherent commitment, a lesson we take with us. We leave enriched with this experience, with deep gratitude for the trust and human warmth offered to us.

Very nice surprise! Despite the late booking, Sophie was very responsive and available, upon our arrival, we even found the fireplace lit and small touches. The house is warm and welcoming, rich in history and very well positioned, in a quiet and peaceful village, near the sea, places to visit and with parking on the street where we almost always found space (April). Very comfortable bedding, well-equipped kitchen, an address to remember!

Great bar, artisan charcuterie, patisserie and market right on the doorstep. Private rooftop terrace with top quality furniture. Parking through secure gates. The host sends helpful photos and messages for access and advice. Can't wait to return.

Great stay, We enter an old building; exposed stones, narrow corridor overlooking a staircase towards the second floor before arriving in a place similar to the common room of the most famous sorcerers!!! A peaceful sleeping area with Griffondor uniforms (several sizes available😃) A living space with all the decoration that goes with it. We believe it: furniture, fireplaces, accessories, bedding, curtains, lighting, games etc... I won't say everything either. Not to mention the small extra box available. Beware of the small bakery opposite that offers magical chocolate pain😅 (The giant, I told my son that he had grown on the way ) Thanks for the great time!

We stayed at the apartment for two nights. The apartment is central. Easy to travel on foot to the tobacco shop, bakery, and various other shops, as they were all within the town centre (about a minute from the apartment). The apartment was also within walking distance to the beach, harbour and restaurants. The apartment was BEAUTIFUL. So spacious and beautifully decorated. Alizée provided every thing you could possibly need and explained how to work all appliances and shutters thoroughly. We would certainly stay at the apartment again. I haven’t got a bad word to say about the flat.

Axel’s place was in a great location for people looking to be within walking distance of great restaurants and nice shops and bakeries. It had a good amount of space for a family. He was a great host. Very helpful and responsive. Although there is no designated parking, we were able to find street parking within a reasonable walking distance.

Light, bright open flat with fully stocked kitchen, large dining table and comfy sofa living room. Bedrooms were large (we had the single studio next door - separate key required) as well. Instructions were clear, housekeeper was prompt in responding to check in time and inquiries. It is on the 3rd floor above ground level so be prepared for lots of steps (the last flight is quite narrow) Location right next to grand hotel with beach entrance across the street and walkable to all the restaurants and shops. Great stay!

Angelique's apartment is perfectly located. Right next to the Women's Abbey and close to the main attractions of Caen. To explore and get to know the city you don't need a car. Everything is walking distance. It is important to note that the unit is on a 4th floor and there is no elevator. Angelique's host is excellent, extremely attentive and her willingness greatly helped us resolve an issue with the rent of our vehicle. We are more than grateful for all your help and for making our stay truly unforgettable. The only thing that was inconvenient was the parking for our vehicle as there is no control over that and it was very complicated to be able to park the same. They should know that if they rent a vehicle it is very possible they do not have space to park it. Other than that, everything was excellent and we recommend this space for your visit to Caen and Normandy. We went to MT. San Michel, Étretat and D-Day sites.

The apartment is very well located, close to bars and restaurants. Everything can be visited on foot! The backyard where the rental is located is isolated from noise and the nights are peaceful!

Anthony is caring and accommodating. He is available and attentive. I had a very pleasant stay... I highly recommend this accommodation at Anthony's.

It is not easy to find accommodation for a family or friends reunion. Everything is there here. Number of rooms and beds, leisure facilities for children and adults, crockery, seats all in number for a large group. It's clean. My garden is nice, like the house. Thanks again for this weekend!

Great place to stay with our family. The house is just like the pictures. It is very comfortable! The location is great as well. We saw Normandy beaches, Mont. St. Michel, and Bayeaux. I would highly recommend this lovely home if you are in the area!

We were 4 small families (8 adults and 5 kids) staying and we were very comfortable in Adelaide's place. Very spacious and the kids had loads of space for running and playing. The drive to the nearest beach took us around 30 mins. The swimming pool was amazing during the day and the hot tub perfect during the night. I would totally recommend this place.

We spent Christmas and New Year at Marianne's place for 6 (+toddler and dog)! It is a beautiful,cozy and modern house with sea views! Each couple has their own area incl. Bathroom. The fully fenced garden was great for our dog and the fireplace brought the right mood! The beach is within walking distance! By car, you can quickly get to shopping and get to all the typical sights of Normandy relatively quickly We would definitely come back!

Very good experience with this quiet house but not very far from the city center. We were able to enjoy the terrace and the splendid view of the valley, we will come back again without problem!

We found the house as we were presented and as we expected it. The part of the house is well and sympathetically furnished. There was nothing missing in the kitchen. We really enjoyed the conservatory. However, I would have considered here in high summer, as shading of the glass roof was not possible. I highly recommend this as the place to stay.

Very nice villa, very well maintained and furnished. The accommodation has the space and equipment (furniture, dishes, dishes etc.) to accommodate the 10 adults that we were in very good conditions. Easy and quick access to the beach a few hundred meters away and to the main shops. Beyond the bakery, plan to use the car, the supermarket is 1 or 2 km away. Sophie is very available and welcoming. We had a very good stay and recommend this beautiful villa.
