Holiday rentals with a kayak in Henrico County

A group of 7 women, ages 31 to 83 stayed in Adam's place. It was PERFECT for our needs. The house was beautiful and smelled new. We enjoyed playing games at the huge dining table. The bathrooms were GORGEOUS!! We would definitely stay there again.

This was the perfect spot for our wedding anniversary—quiet, private (no neighbors in sight), and surrounded by nature with a grocery store nearby. The sauna was a 10/10. It rained, so we skipped the firepit, but the string lights were a nice touch. The hot tub was a bit cloudy, but we didn’t address it after a (thankfully injury-free) car accident in Richmond. The cold plunge wasn’t filled—it didn’t work out for us to have time to prep it, but I would’ve loved to try it if it had been ready. The house was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable with plenty of towels, dishes, and thoughtful touches like snacks, coffee/tea, and streaming access. A few extras—like a flat sheet on the bed, bottled water, or a robe for walking to/from the sauna—could’ve added a bit more value. Overall, a peaceful and relaxing escape!

Another wonderful stay for a weekend getaway with other couples and kids. Bunk room and garage game room were perfect separation for kids to have their own space. Lots of nature in this area- crabs, eagles, perch, turtles, frogs and catfish to name a few critters! House had every convenience of home- trash bags, laundry supplies, dishwasher pods, soap, laundry baskets and cleaners. It was so nice to arrive and not have to go out for basic supplies!

Our family had a wonderful time at Jeffrey’s place. The home is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed (including lots of kids books and toys). My children loved the private beach (it’s amazing) and exploring the property. We found fun shells, and even a few shark teeth. We daytripped to Jamestown and Williamsburg (10 min to the ferry, 20 min to get across) and had a wonderful time at both places. My kids had a blast riding the ferry (getting out and watching from the upper deck is a must). Definitely plan to get groceries ahead of time - it’s pretty remote, in a good way. Lots of fun wild life to spot - bald eagles, turkey, deer, even a skunk! Fun was had by all, we would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay with Hilary for our first visit to Richmond. Her home was in a great location - close to downtown, but in a quiet, walkable neighborhood. Hilary was a great host. She was quick to respond, went above to accommodate our early arrival and later departure, and was a wealth of knowledge for all things Richmond. It was very comfortable staying in her home and enjoying her beautiful backyard. The room was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed. Her two, adorable pups were also a highlight.

If we could give it more than 5 ⭐️’s we would! Beautiful, spacious and cozy retreat. Everything we could ask for to feel right at home. We highly recommend the Sunset Retreat anytime you are looking for a place to relax and rest your head in the Williamsburg Va or surrounding areas. It’s the small things such as bottled water on every nightstand, smiles with every greeting, bath bombs for the jacuzzi and fresh eggs from the hens that greet you at the doorstep. Super clean and attention to detail in the comfort category.

Had an amazing time staying here. The place was extremely clean and very peaceful and comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking equipment and spices. Beautiful backyard and the hot tub was the best part.

Myself and two friends stayed at Amelia’s AirBnB and we enjoyed every second our stay. We had a rather late check in, which I preemptively messaged about and Amelia got back very quickly and had no problem with the late arrival. The home is beautiful and keeps pieces of history all over giving it a unique and relaxing vibe. The landscaping and use of lights are placed well and allow for the plants/flowers to show their beauty from every window. This private little cove like area is close to town but super tranquil where the wildlife are definitely louder than any human in a 10mile radius. There happened to be an extra day between our stay and the next and Amelia offered the additional day, which we also appreciated the gesture. We wished we could’ve spent more time there and are hoping to come back again soon!

This property was gorgeous! The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and we loved relaxing on the porch and the dock. Blake was very responsive and communicated check-in/check out instructions well. The location feels serene and remote, but it is just a short drive away from a grocery store, multiple places to eat, Kings Dominion, and a local theater. The kitchen is a bit bare-bones, so be sure to bring everything you need if you plan to cook. We would love to come back in the future!

Much needed peaceful, private getaway!! Fun unique setting. Nice newly updated bathroom and kitchen were a great addition to the otherwise rustic ambience.

Absolutely beautiful. Fresh eggs when I arrived and an offer for more later. So friendly and attentive. They gave me exactly what I wanted. I am a private person, living by myself, and whenever they had to fix a fence or do something anywhere near the property, they would let me know. Yet, I know if I had been one of those people who wanted to be out and chatting, they would have welcomed me to come over and socialize. Very accommodating and helpful. My stay was a dream and I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, especially someone with pets or kids. It was a dream.

We had a lovely stay and created wonderful memories with our friends and family at this beautiful log cabin. This is the perfect place if you are looking for a remote getaway that is still easy access to Richmond, which has plenty to do. Our favorite was waking up and looking at the 3 horses, taking walks down to the river, and our kids playing together in the playroom, which has all the toys a kid could ever want. The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. We would highly recommend staying here.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin and property are absolutely beautiful. Waking up to the birds and being surrounded by nature and wildlife is priceless. We spent our days outdoors fishing and finished our evening’s playing games inside. James is a great host who is very responsive. If you’re looking to make memories, this is where to do it!
