Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Hastings District

We had a wonderful (albeit brief) stay at Jane’s beautiful home! The space was spotless, stylish, and so comfortable—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The pool was a real highlight, and we’re already looking forward to coming back and making the most of it next time. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than planned due to personal reasons, but Jane was incredibly understanding and kind about our situation. She was a fantastic host throughout—thoughtful, responsive, and welcoming. A special thank you for the delicious-looking marmalade waiting for us on arrival! We can’t wait to enjoy it at breakfast. Highly recommend Jane’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful and lovely escape. We hope to return soon!

Exceeded our expectations despite being beautifully presented. They bought us a bottle of champagne for our birthday and were extremely flexible and accommodating. Loved our stay thank you Marta and team.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, we felt right at home. Dee and Jeff were exceptional hosts, very friendly and welcoming. They really do go the extra mile, as all the reviews say - to ensure we have a pleasant stay. The barn was everything I expected and more, you could see there were so many nice personal touches and preparation that went into making our stay as amazing as it was - from the complimentary breakfast (locally sourced), to the mobile charger and bottles of water by the bedside. Also, loved having access to Netflix and Prime! Will absolutely recommend and stay again, maybe in the Autumn/Winter time to take advantage of the log burner and fire pit outside!

John has a very comfortable house with a lovely garden. We had a great day out at Dover Castle.

Amazing place right on the beach - fun driving through the sunbathers to the house which was the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.

Our family had a wonderful break! This was our first trip to camber and with our new dog who absolutely loved it! We have two boys who thoroughly enjoyed playing table tennis every day and walking along the gorgeous beach. Thank you for being so helpful with all the guides on places to see and places to eat. Thanks so much David & Donna for a wonderful stay. The location was brilliant for proximity to the beach which was perfect for the children. The games room, table football and board games made our time very enjoyable. We went out and about a lot enjoying lovely days out at Battle, Pevensey Castle and Herstmonceux castle plus also enjoyed lovely meals out. Our favourite restaurant was the Thai restaurant in Battle (wonderful and would highly recommend)! The house was also the best equipped of all the Airbnbs we have stayed in! Thx so much.

Very clean and peaceful environment. We were arriving very late and Jenny made sure lights were left on to help us find the way; it couldn’t have been easier. Very helpful and considerate hosts.

We had a really relaxing and comfortable stay at Annemarie’s place. The rooms were all perfectly clean and very homely. She made us feel so welcome with the thoughtful supplies provided. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to unwind in peace and quiet.

We stayed for 2 nights midweek and had a really lovely stay. The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos, and actually looks better in person, really spacious and super clean with all you need, added bonus is the beautiful view of the sea from the large living room windows. The bed was super comfy with a nice warm duvet. The host Kate was super helpful in providing all the info we needed for the property and was really accommodating regarding our check in request which we were really grateful for. Property was easy to find and check in was super easy (good detailed instructions provided prior to our arrival). Although we didn’t need anything during our stay, contact details were provided if we needed them so I felt happy knowing someone was on hand if needed. I definitely would recommend this property, it was a great location which had a bus stop right outside but everything in Hastings/St Leonard’s on Sea is walkable from here. Couldn’t be happier with property and host!

Lovely stay at this property - it had everything we needed including a great view to the Dungeness lighthouse. Hosts were really helpful and responsive. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Stayed at Kathryn's place for a wedding at the castle and we were incredibly glad we did. It's everything you could hope for when looking for a country retreat that allows stillness, animals and lots of local eateries and walks. Thank you

I’m sure this is destined to become one of the most popular Airbnbs in Sussex. Exceeded high expectations! Beautifully appointed, very tranquil, wonderful sitting out area, large very comfy bed and not least wonderful hosts who seem to have thought of everything. Highly recommended.

Had a really lovely stay here! Would 100% recommend! We were really lucky with the weather. The views are stunning of the lake and the fields! We had a few furry friends come and say hello. If you’re not an animal lover they are very chill and leave you alone if you wish. The lodge itself was clean and tidy and very modern. It had all the basic kitchen wear and towels were provided! If you have hayfever bring ur own tissues! I always do as mines bad this time of year. There’s a lovely walk around the lake that you can do. Close to shops/petrol station. Shower was great. Bath was great. No shortage of warm water. BBQ and fire pit are a huge asset to the place and we absolutely loved the swing. We felt safe at night and plenty of windows for the warm weather. We paid for logs coal and early and late check in/out. All worth the money in my opinion! They have a spot by the lake where you can sit on sun beds! Very very relaxing! The owners were lovely and friendly and replied very quickly!

I recently stayed at this awesome wood cabin and had such a great time. The location is super peaceful, perfect for getting away from everything. The owners were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cabin itself was cozy and had all the basics for a comfortable stay. I’ll definitely be booking again and highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay!

Absolutely brilliant Air BnB. Great location to visit Eastbourne, Brighton, Rye, Wakehurst etc though the track to it is pretty bumpy so not ideal if you are going out several times a day. However, we went out in the morning & back in the evening & it’s so quiet & peaceful when you are there, it didn’t bother us. Accommodation was exactly like the photos & was so well stocked e.g. welcome basket, milk, dish washer tablets, biscuits etc & they saved our bacon because we forgot dog bowls but there they were in the cupboard; absolutely brilliant 🤩 Extremely clean & beautifully decorated throughout with shampoo & shower gel included. Was made to feel really welcome & our little westie, Minnie, thoroughly enjoyed her week away as well. Probably one of the best Air BnBs we have ever stayed in. Will definitely return when we next visit Sussex 😊😊

Larissa and her partner were so friendly and welcoming. The beautiful little cabin/pool house is situated next to the main house in their garden, which is surrounded by well kept wild gardens and a forest which is very relaxing. The pool is great and really well looked after, Larissa was kind enough to let us know when she intended to come down and use the pool when we were sitting by it. Comfortable inside calm space, with the kind touch of a few eggs and some tasty jam left in the fridge. All the utensils/pans/plates you need for cooking on the hob, just need to bring along your teas/coffees and any little bits :) You can also take a lovely little walk straight from the garden through the forest and into fields, we just enjoyed sitting around the pool and taking some walks. Very relaxing few days. Thanks so much.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin over the Easter weekend. Groombridge is a lovely, tucked away area and the cabin feels very remote and peaceful. Christopher made us feel very at home and I cannot recommend the pizza more! Perfect dough recipe. Comfortable sleeping and spacious for 7. Highly recommend ⭐️

Really lovely cabin and location, perfect stay for us and two dogs with the enclosed garden really convenient for this. Very clear instructions on how to find and so peaceful and a great short walk into the forest. Would love to return again soon.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The space is really well laid out and thoughtfully put together — it felt very comfortable and easy to settle into. The bed was genuinely one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, which made a big difference. Check-in was smooth and easy to coordinate, and everything was exactly as described. The bathroom was spotless, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you’d need in terms of cutlery and utensils. Joe was a great host, friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience really straightforward. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Had a lovely stay. The accommodation was great as was the peaceful woodland which it overlooks. We enjoyed sitting next to the fire pit in the evenings and as well as waking up to see wildlife right outside our window. I would recommend it to others looking for a peaceful get away.
