Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Halifax County

The house itself was beautiful and the access to the beach and lake made it a perfect place to stay. The house had all the amenities for cooking and plenty of items for use on the lake as well. Bethany was very friendly and responded quickly and I would highly recommend this rental.

Our family had a wonderful stay here for Spring Break - The home was spacious and accommodating for our family of 7 and of course our 2 dogs ! We would choose this house again next time we are in LKG.

We had our annual family getaway, coming in from all locations. We were able to check in early. It was our second time at Amy’s property, and we are looking forward to staying at her property again. The house is spacious, clean, and well-stocked. The dock is spacious and easily accessible. The house is ideally situated on a central section of the lake, offering amazing kayaking and fishing opportunities. Amy is also a great host - thoughtful and responsive. Amy’s property is one of the best properties at Lake Gaston, I highly recommend it!

We had so much fun at this home for the weekend! We brought our own boat and hung out on the dock all day and night. The home is cozy with a well stocked kitchen for cooking and a grill outside. It was clean and the host was fantastic. We highly recommend to future guests! This was our first trip to Lake Gaston and we will be back.

The location was great. The house was wonderful for our family. It ran a few days and there was plenty to do inside. Marc was so helpful with every question we had and every concern we had. He is a wonderful host.

This home was awesome I definitely would stay again. The beds are so comfortable and he had the home stocked with everything we needed.

Nice place for a weekend getaway, the backyard is huge with a private pool, basketball court, and playground. Only complaints were the pool lights didn’t work and the grill was really dirty.

Dorothy is a wonderful hostess, very attentive and accommodating. The rental house is cozy and has everything you need. There is plenty of space and access and parking is easy. Best of both worlds because there are plenty of restaurants and shops just 15 minutes away in Rocky Mount, the location is in a quiet country setting.

Beautiful place with great amenities. The lake is beautiful, pool is nice, and elevator comes in handy for families or older parents. The balconies are pretty and it’s peaceful and a great getaway.

Our entire family of 10 (children & grandchildren) were very comfortable in the house and the layout was more spacious than expected. There was something to keep everyone happy from the swimming pool, the lake, softball games in the yard, playing pool and ping pong in the garage, smores at the fire pit and playing board games inside before bedtime. Lots of great memories were made this week and precious time for the grandchildren to all be together!! Thank you, Rusty!!

We had a large group of 11 adults and 4 kids, and this house had plenty of room for us, and lots to keep us entertained. Three of the bedrooms in the main house were very large with nice, attached bathrooms. Between all of the activities in the detached garage, cornhole boards and the pool, the kids (and adults, really) were always occupied. We rented the pontoon as well and loved it! Beautiful sunset views from the dock. We were happy to have the heated pool.. with it getting so chilly at night, the pool water would have been way too cold to enjoy without the heater. We had no issues with the hot tub, got a lot of use out of that as well! Neighbors were pleasant, but they did have a very loud tractor out doing yardwork before 7am on a Saturday that woke the whole house up. Their dog also kept coming over to the pool gates, barking, wanting to come in. Which didn't bother us personally, but something worth mentioning. Sean was friendly and responsive to questions, we would come back!

What a wonderful location and a beautiful home. It accommodated our large family and having the guest house helped keep the noise level down for sleeping/napping children. The gazebo was a great spot for the adults to gather in the evening to visit and play games. The home was clean and well stocked with everything needed. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Our 3-night stay at Michelle's lake house was perfect! As beach people, this was our first lake vacation – won't be our last. Michelle was very responsive. The house was spotless with a well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful touches like bedside phone chargers. We rented a pontoon from Stonehouse Timber Lodge (10 min drive) and spent two days tubing with the kids, paddleboarding, and relaxing on the water. The private dock is wonderful with seating, loungers, and string lights – perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Easy boat access, just approach the front carefully in shallow water. Enjoyed s'mores at the fire pit! Great neighborhood for running. Cycling possible but roads are narrow/fast. Highly recommend this magical lake experience!
