We are a permitted B and B on Maui’s North Shore near the road to Hana but not close enough that you can hear traffic. The property is on three acres in an agricultural zone where we grow bananas and citrus. Room 2 has its own entrance to the lanai with an ensuite bathroom. It also has ac, mine fridge, satellite tv and a queen size bed. Permit number SUP 2 2015/0002, BBPH 2015/0009. Transient registration TA-128-712-2944-02 GE tax GE-128712-2944-02
“Such a beautiful view from the balcony and wonderful place to stay after our adventures. We only stayed one night, but it was relaxing and conveniently located right off the Road to Hana. Howard provided detailed instructions before check in and we had no problem finding the place. The place is very quiet and so we had a good night's sleep. It was nice to be able to cook a quick breakfast provided before we went back on the road. The only thing I would say is the internet was not working, but it was not too much of a problem for us as we stayed only one night. It was a clean and beautiful home. We would stay here again.”
Nestled in a corner of our lush tropical garden, Haleakala Cottage is the perfect place to call your temporary 'home' while you're in Maui - so you can really experience 'living' here, rather than just 'visiting.' Live like a local - it's fun! (AND we are licensed!)
“Absolutely phenomenal and highly recommend. We were in Maui for our honeymoon and wanted to do a portion of our time there “off the beaten path”. Sharyn’s place exceeded our expectations and we wish we had stayed longer. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. The space was clean, well maintained, and had great extra comforting touches! The private hot tub was an amazing added bonus. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this spot for anyone interesting in seeing the lush “jungle” part of Maui and is interested in visiting the Road to Hana, hiking, and unique beaches. It was so enriching to stay somewhere that wasn’t your standard “beach resort”. The towns of Paia and Haiku were also must visits near by. We will be back!”

“Staying at this cottage was an amazing experience. The pictures hardly do the location justice. The view of Mount Haleakala beautifully frames the clouds that flow with the Maui tradewinds. In the morning-without moving your head from the pillow-you get to watch clouds and the slopes of Haleaka glow red, and then in the evening you get to see rich fields of stars as car heads lights twinkle while snaking down from the summit. Out on the deck of the cottage, you even have a view of the North Shore and the West Maui mountains. And that is just the scenery in the distance! In the gorge directly in front of the cottage, there is a beautiful variety of plants, hills, and birds. The local geography works out so that the cottage never gets the brunt of the sudden wind and rain that can appear in the area, so you can sit in the hot tub under the lanai and watch sheets of rain oscillate and pulse. Furthermore, the house is situated with almost complete privacy, and off the main road, so you can feel like you are sitting in your own jungle canopy. On top of all that, Beverly and David are fantastic hosts. We were greeted with a cornucopia of fresh fruits and a diverse array of snacks and breakfast foods. Their gardener, Derek, was extremely friendly and gave us delicious, fresh lilikoi (passionfruit) and coconut that was collected from the property. I could always get in touch with Beverly to ask any questions and they were very respectful of our peace and privacy by giving heads up before doing any yardwork near by. In conclusion, this is a magical, private, luxurious, location with jaw-dropping-ly beautiful sunsets that you will never want to leave.”
