This place was great. Gesele was very helpful and attentive . It was walking distance to the beach and restaurants . Would love to stay here again.

Nice place for 1-2 people, close to the beach and local bars. Host is very friendly and responds very quickly. With in the small space they arranged all the amenities very well. Would love to visit this place again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Isaiah and Tatiana's place, it felt like home! The kitchen is well equiped. Just a 10 mins walk to the beach with a handful of restaurants along the way, a mini super for basic needs and a wonderful fruit stand nearby, their place is well located ans safe. I felt at ease leaving my motorcycle in their locked yard. The shared outside space was really comfortable and relaxing, I spent many mornings in the hamac reading or watching howler monkeys. Tatiana is a wonderful host and was very fast to reply to my messages. I would definitely stay here again!

A 20 metros de la playa y a 400 metros de la terminal de bus; el lugar está muy bien ubicado. Tiene varios restaurantes cerca y se camina fácilmente al centro. La cama es cómoda, la ducha es maravillosa! Y los espacios en común son hermosos. La señora que atiende es muy amable y atenta. Además de que el ac es una salvada para el calor! Personalmente me encantó que no tuviera ventanas porque así dormía con mayor comodidad. Me pareció un buen valor

Tuvimos una experiencia inolvidable en la hermosa propiedad de Fede. Fue un viaje familiar con varios niños, quienes disfrutaron cada rincón al máximo. Como madre, me sentí completamente tranquila gracias a la seguridad del lugar, que se siente en cada detalle. La cercanía al mar es un regalo: el sonido de las olas nos acompañó como un canto de cuna natural durante toda la estadía. Uno de los tesoros del lugar es un majestuoso árbol de Guanacaste, símbolo nacional de Costa Rica. Su sombra es un refugio delicioso, un verdadero pulmón que renueva el aire y nos invita a detenernos, respirar y conectar. Fue nuestro espacio favorito para descansar y compartir. Fede estuvo siempre atento, con una presencia amable y respetuosa que nos hizo sentir como en casa. Sin duda, un lugar al que deseamos regresar. ¡Gracias infinitas!

Nice comfortable and clean place, right in the center of Playa Grande. There's everything in the house for a short and long stay. We recommand.

We had a wonderful stay at Puka Retreat. The space was furnished very thoughtfully with all the needed amenities. The semi-outdoor kitchen was an especially nice touch that made us feel right at home. The managers, Belinda and Rolando were always responsive and very helpful. The stay is near the beautiful Playa Avellanas beach, which is so lovely to visit especially in the mornings.

Un lugar increíble!!

Great spot for a central location with easy access by driving to playa avellanas and playa negra. short walk to beach, just across the street. kitchen is nice, pool fun for kids. AC and wifi worked great. Great value. would stay again.

Si vous souhaitez séjourner dans un logement vous donnant l’impression d’être sur le toit du monde, foncez! Emplacement de rêve surplombant la baie, petit appartement fonctionnel disposant (privilège) d’une magnifique terrasse privée donnant une vue plongeante sur l’océan pacifique. Elizabeth est une hôte extrêmement accueillante et réactive. Bref, allez-y les yeux fermés, vous en prendrez plein la vue.

Nous avons adoré notre court séjour chez Javier! Ce fut une très belle expérience! Nous aurions aimé y séjourner plus longtemps, mais nous changions de région! Nous recommandons cet hébergement sans hésiter pour son originalité, son confort et la convivialité de Javier et sa famille!

Disfruté mucho mi estadía en este lugar! Tiene unas vistas increibles desde la terraza, hacia el volcan arenal y el jacuzzi después de un día de viaje fue bastante placentero!. Disfute de bonitos atardeceres allí. Definitivamente volveré a hospedarme aquí en mi vuelta a Aguas Zarcas. Muchas gracias a Hillary y su esposo por recibirme, ambos fueron bastante amables y me ayudaron con algunas cosas que necesitaba.

This gentlemen was amazing! responded to a few hiccups in the beginning and fixed them immediately. He offered to help us with local restaurants, beaches etc. They went out of their way to allow us to spend an extra night to accommodate our flight at no charge. Mariano is super and would recommend this private simple oasis

Yahayra y su familia fueron muy amables al recibirnos, y se preocuparon por un adulto mayor con el que fuimos para que tuviera todas las comodidades. El lugar cuenta con muchas áreas sociales y por las noches se aprecia una linda vista, muy recomendado.

Excelente comunicación, lugar agrable y tranquilo para escapada con tu pareja. Lugar limpio… lo mejor es sentir el reventar de las olas así como la vista al mar, muy relajante

We stayed at Carlos’ place for 10 nights and it had everything we needed. It was important to us to be able to cook our own meals and we had everything we needed to do that. It was a close to drive to everything and only took 10 minutes or so to get anywhere, location was perfect for us. The drive was easy and the place was easily accessible by car. The neighbours are very close, although we never saw them, we could hear them- but it wasn’t bothersome at all. Felt very safe and comfortable. If your looking for something that’s close to everything, is simple, safe and affordable- this is it! Also, Carlos was really great to communicate with. We didn’t have any issues, but had questions about places to go and things to see and he gave us SO much information that might have otherwise been hard to find on our own!

Clean and great place to chill out

This was a great stay for two. Needs to note that you have to say a full week for cleaning services but still accommodate us very well will definitely be back

What a great spot with a great location to the beach! Outdoor shower was my favourite although there is a shower inside I preferred having one outdoors! I loved how private it was and easy to access with the instructions. Super responsive host and would stay again :)
