Holiday rentals with a pool in Guimaraes

This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

After 5 nights spent in this beautiful place I had a hard time leaving it... I got depressed and cried so much this place is perfect, that's to say! In fact, if I could buy this property, I would do it without hesitation 💫 Honestly, I'm still shocked by this breathtaking view... whether you're in bed, on the terrace, in the hot bath or in the pool, it's just sublime, incredible, bewitching... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place, all I know is that I would like to go back as soon as possible ✨️ PS: remember to buy something to make a fire for the barbecue and the brazier (with marshmallows)

We cannot say enough about how enjoyable, peaceful, and satisfying our stay was in Fontelo at Marina’s house! The house feels spacious and open, with everything you need to be right at home. The views are incredible and the pool and outdoor spaces are functional and enjoyable. I wish I could go back and have another cup of coffee outside, watching the sun rise over the vineyard hills. A 15-minute drive to the Douro River makes tasting the local wines and Port very accessible — just make sure to check the route before following your GPS or you may end up on a dirt farm road :-) Marina is friendly and responsive, always willing to help with questions or suggestions for where to shop and eat. We are already looking forward to our return!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful home! It’s spacious, stylish, and absolutely perfect for a large group. The layout is ideal with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs feels like a dedicated hosting space, perfect for socialising, gathering, a nice big hot tub!!!! The views are truly spectacular we enjoyed barbecuing while overlooking the vineyards, which felt like something out of a dream. It’s even more stunning in real life than in the photos (which is saying a lot!). The hostess was absolutely lovely so friendly and helpful. She responded promptly to every request and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. I genuinely can’t fault this place. If I could, I’d return every weekend! It’s ideal for groups of friends, families. The house is incredibly well-suited for the Douro Valley and ticks every box. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a wonderful stay! Would 101% recommend!

A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. We had a great stay, the accommodation offered was totally in line with what we had seen in the photos, very clean with good quality furniture, very quiet. The house is beautiful, very well maintained and the garden superb (congratulations to the owners for the maintenance!). André and his wife are very pleasant and full of attention (for example we received mint and lemons from their garden). Although the house is inhabited by the owners, the private garden of the accommodation and its separate entrance give a real feeling of privacy. Access to the pool is very appreciable when it is hot. Although the accommodation is a little far from the shops (only a bakery and pharmacy nearby), this is largely offset by a very quiet and relaxing environment for a vacation! We'll definitely be back on an upcoming trip to the area. Thank you André for your welcome and see you soon!

Ludo and Park were truly exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. They went above and beyond by sharing fantastic local recommendations and insider tips, which really enriched our trip. The space itself was spotless, bright, and wonderfully spacious. Having our own private pool was an absolute treat, especially during the hot weather. The location couldn’t be better: everything is within walking distance, and public transport is a breeze to use. I honestly have no complaints; it was a perfect experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be booking again when I return to Porto. Thank you so much, Park and Ludo! ❤️

Daniel is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and very quick responses. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend any of Daniel's private tours which are much more personal. if we return to Porto we would definitely stay here again.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

João was a very kind and gracious host. He was always willing to help and was patient enough to take time out of his Friday evening to tend to us when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the apartment. We would definitely stay here again!

A true haven of peace and regeneration! I had the privilege of enjoying an absolutely memorable stay in a simply wonderful place. The combination of the surrounding nature with the available amenities — swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna — provided unique moments of well-being and tranquility. It was an experience marked by peace, silence and comfort, perfect for disconnecting from the world and renewing energy. The moments for two were even more special thanks to the welcoming and caring atmosphere of this space. I leave with the feeling of having really rested, body and mind. A place I wholeheartedly recommend and where I undoubtedly hope to return.

It was easy to locate the apartment, whenever necessary we had no problem talking to Mr. Domingos. The apartment is just like the ad, it has a good pool and is by the sea. We'll come back

I spent two weeks at the apartment and had a very warm welcome from the host. Maurizio took his time to explain everything in detail and gave very handy recommendations. The apartment is very clean and had all equipment you could need for a short or longer stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the wifi was fast and stable. The view from the balcony is beautiful and there are 2 nice restaurants, a mini supermarket, gym/pool, cafés, etc. in walking distance. The beach is super near and definitely worth visiting. It’s very popular among water sport fans. There are several ways to get to the other side/city (ferry, bus and also Uber works good here). 5 stars for this beautiful place!

Our stay was excellent! Elsa was over the top in every way! We had a gift of wine and custard tarts when we got there, Elsa arranged a reservation at an amazing restaurant and she responded quickly to any inquiry. Would definitely come back to this beautiful sanctuary.

The location was perfect—peaceful yet close to local attractions. Our host was friendly and responsive, making the whole experience even better.
