We loved our stay here. We wanted to be a bit outside of the bustling areas and Liliana’s Airbnb was perfect for that. Beautiful views and very peaceful. The patio is a great place to have your morning coffee, which is provided. Very comfy pillows!

Gorgeous natural build in the forest above the lake. Great amenities for a remote location. Can walk or take affordable local transport (boat or tuk-tuk) to any of the surrounding lake towns. Restaurants within walking distance. Safe neighborhood for a female solo traveler.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are incredible, and the natural light that the home gets during the day makes the stay feel so calm and peaceful. We extended our stay multiple times and could easily live here for a few months if we had the time. There aren't many pictures of the bathroom on the advertisement, but this was one of oru favourite parts. It is outside, which is small hindrance at night, but the view from the washroom is unmatched as you can see the volcanoes. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive, and Juan, the property manager, was always available to help us. Our dog, Evie, loved the small yard and we got some beautiful pictures of her on the sun deck. We were very glad to have a safe space for her to be outdoors. We hope o come back again one day.

I loved staying at the studio! I stayed there for 6 weeks. I loved sitting and laying in the hammock at the balcony enjoying the beautiful view with all the different trees, flowers, butterflies and a lot of birds. I loved all the chirping of the birds. It is a very quiet place close to the village of San Marcos. Eric and Clara are very kind and responded very quickly to all my questions. I highly recommend it!

We enjoyed the stay very much! The staff were really nice and welcoming. The cabins themselves were comfortable and clean. The finca was beautiful and relaxing. Definitely a cool spot to stay.

This was my second stay at Alice Guesthouse and I will never stay anywhere else in El Remate. Natalie and the rest of the caretakers and staff are all incredibly accommodating and willing to coordinate anything you may want to do in the area. We went on a stellar horseback ride that she arranged the day before, having the horses come right to the guesthouse at whatever time we wanted. The food and bar is also wonderful with plenty of selections and high quality. Truly a hidden paradise :)

Such a stunning cabin! Absolutely loved our stay here, and the local staff are so lovely. incredible views. Beware the hill to get there is not for the faint of heart, but you do get used to it.

We spend incredible family time, we appreciate the cleanliness and beauty of the place, quiet, charming and safe. Your pets will be safe, the hammocks are a plus, the kitchen is very complete, I'm sure I recommend and I'll visit again, Rayito stays in our heart. Great place. Very modern, spacious and clean. Felt brand new with a really nice layout. A lot of natural light. Very large comfortable bed. Would be a nice place for a long term stay. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the Main Plaza, or you can walk 5 minutes and get a Tuk Tuk and be anywhere fairly quickly. If staying right in the center of town is not overly important to you, I highly recommend this place.

Very nice place to relax. For the price it's great! It is not at all luxurious inside but it is clean and has everything we need. The very quick communication with the host and the entrance/exit of the super practical place. Quite close to the village to look for food. No problem with our dogs (they always respect the animals in the place) Thank you very much!!!

Hiking trails were close by and terrific. Access to the lake was not discovered.

Amazing cabin, enjoyed the view of the lake and the weather. Great accommodation and definitely I would stay there.

No doubt Louis's cabin is spectacular, it feels peaceful as if you were at home, great location to know Tikal, there are restaurants around and the public beach where to swim. I would definitely go back to stay at Louis's cabin.

What a wonderful stay I had. I would definitely return to stay if I got the chance again. The property is just as described and much more. You can take a tuk tuk to and from panajachel Narciso has a great recommendation. Ask for Nestor’s number. The apartment was clean and just as described. Great view of the lake. The bed is comfy and so are the pillows and sheets. Great water pressure in the shower. I loved being able to take a break from work and go down for a swim/little workout. I would definitely return

My kids LOVED the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Also we took the kayaks on the lake for a morning paddle. There's also a sauna on the property, which we briefly tried. The little house was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed - its at the very top of the hills, so a bit of a trek. Restaurant at the bottom was OK - we enjoyed the tacos, and the fruit smoothie drinks. One note - be careful about closing the door, as it will automatically lock - we accidentally locked ourselves out, and the restaurant didn't have the key. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful space in the Guatemalan highlands. Love the tranquility in the forest away from all the busy-ness of some of the other places on Lake Atitlán. Great way to connect with nature and connect with the local culture. Once we got here we just wanted to stay longer!

I’m not usually a nature enthusiast, but WOW—this experience was incredible! It literally felt like we were in a treehouse. So peaceful and relaxing, a perfect escape from the hustle of Antigua (which is just an easy 15-minute Uber ride away). The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views everywhere you look. The on-site café serves food, but I’d definitely recommend bringing some groceries if you’re arriving in the evening—try to check in before 6 PM! There was a slight gassy smell, but honestly, that was such a small thing compared to how amazing everything else was. Perfect place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself and/or partner. If you’re looking for a unique stay that blends adventure with tranquility, this is the place.

very nice place, very quiet place

This location is beautiful and absolutely private. It is accessible by boat only, so it is wise to go grocery shopping before arrival. There is a nice kayak. I'd suggest folks to bring a fishing pole as there's plenty of fish in the waters. Take part in securing your daily catch of fish if you can. The home provides a quaint experience.
