Our triple room was very large, clean and facing the ocean. The pool was refreshing and we We’re thankful for it as you cannot really swim at this location due to the large waves. The hotel has a restaurant which served great food! There are a few other restaurants within walking distance as well. Cecilio and his staff were amazing, tending to our every need. Just as information, the hotel will be quiet during the week (we had the place to ourselves) but very busy on the weekends. We had a great stay and would recommend Marbella.

Lovely! Super interesting place. Lots of employees everywhere. You get up and in the kitchen of the house they prepare breakfast for all guests from other houses. Rare but rich getting up with breakfast included!

Great stay. It is right on the beach. The host was super friendly and the food was great, too. Definitely a great place to be if you are looking for a quite, private place right on the beach. Very family friendly.

Mestizo is our hotel of choice when visiting Antigua! We have stayed at Mestizo multiple times and feel right at home when we arrive. The location, staff, rooms, views, and food are amazing!!!

Overall a great stay in San Marcos. Awesome location between the natural area and main tourist strip of the town. As other reviews mentioned, get used to the spiders. You won’t see them much during the daytime, but at night, don’t be surprised to see them in the shower with you or upstairs. Upstairs is open to the outdoors, so they will most certainly be in that area. Included breakfast was delicious! Great staff and beautiful jungle feel. Once I got past the ‘critters’ the first night, I felt way more at home and comfortable. Not the quietest space - could hear all the conversations that were had outside the room from the bed, and when the outdoor light was on at night, it was bright in the room. That said, beautiful sunrises in the morning left it bright anyway, so just be okay with not sleeping in the dark! INCREDIBLE sunrises throughout my stay. The stay here did not disappoint.

Its a really Nicte and peacefull place

It’s a very nice hotel with amazing restaurant inside. The hotel sometimes host fabulous community events so if you live here you can join that too. It’s very nice to experience the community and maya culture in the small town. For the room, because the room is on the floor level, there has some insects that’s unavoidable. We’re okay with the amount of insects like ants and spiders we saw, just seems an experience live in the nature.

the location easy to reach, very central and quiet at the same time, it is exactly like the photos, very clean, very friendly staff, they supported me with what I needed.

Loved, loved, LOVED our stay here! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. We tried both restaurants quite a bit, and the food was always amazing. All the people who work there are so kind and friendly. They are super responsive and helpful, my friend got food poisoning and they helped a lot by bringing bananas and bread up to the room! Perfect location near the dock and the nature reserve to swim in. Magical place!

The garden is the most beautiful part. Complimentary breakfast made it worth it. The rooms were nice but very hot humid and stale smelling. Not worth the price in my opinion.

It is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in all of Guatemala, the services and food des extra that they have are a wonder, like the coffee or tea you can drink from the dining room and drinking water in addition to the breakfast they include; the room was spotless in every way the service staff is very friendly. It is appreciated that I have a parqueo included without a doubt I will use this place to stay and I recommend it to anyone.

Practical and convenient

very great stay! i was very comfortable and i loved the atmosphere and how colorful everything is. daly is a great host.

The staff on site are very kind, helpful and nice. The location is great. The rooms are small but clean, well organized and cozy. The rooftop terrace has an amazing 360 view. The cook makes very delicious typical “Chapin” breakfasts. I hope to return next year.

Everything was perfect. The location, the amenities, the staff that worked daily to keep everything perfect. Also, good wifi, pool and hot tub, and lastly but not least, the neighborhood cat. Tom is a great host.
