Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Guatemala

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

This Airbnb is what Airbnb was supposed to be 10 years ago. It’s not just another property from a manager that you never see. Jean was very warm welcoming and welcomed us herself on our arrival. She was very proactive by giving us some tips from what to do, where to go or eat. She answered really quickly and helped us organized some massage sessions. The property is as described. The heated pool, the private beach and dock. Be aware that there are a lot of steps in the property and that arriving there from San Marcos may be a little difficult because of the road. But in my opinion those aren’t a problem after you see how beautiful it is there. I hope I can return one day

Villa Marañón es nuestro lugar favorito siempre que vamos al paredón, el haber abierto el espacio a sala y cocina da mucha comodidad y mayor espacio para disfruta el lugar. Tiene una estética bellísima, la decoración de interiores es hermosa. El jardín ha crecido tanto y es tan basto, da tanta frescura y sombra, la piscina es hermosa. Está súper cerca de todo, la comodidad, la tranquilidad del ambiente, es hermoso.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

This home was incredible! Not only is the location fantastic - private, right on the lake, easy to drive to, walkable to San Marcos - but it is decorated, furnished and staffed to feel like a luxury getaway. I would recommend taking the staff up on the option to have a chef and massage therapist come during your stay. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was the perfect getaway for our family and we look forward to returning.

We had a great stay! The views were stunning & definitely worth the hike up. The house was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Kitchen had all the basics you need. Communication was great and made the entire trip a very smooth process - from putting us in contact with airport shuttles, boat captains, etc & giving great recommendations. Only note to other travellers is the water pressure is extremely light, so if you have very thick hair you may not be able to wash it with the little pressure. Otherwise 10/10 stay!

Absolutely breathtaking. The photos truly do not do it justice. It is a magical home that I wish I could have stayed longer. Ryan & Byron were extremely communicative and made the trip very easy. Byron was able to provide contacts for private boats, food in town, tuktuks, and private massages that come to the house. They truly made the trip a dream. I hope to come back again and stay at Ryan’s home. Do yourself a favor and book this house!! You will not regret it.

Es un lugar de fácil acceso, cerca del aeropuerto y muy bien localizado. En el edificio el personal de vigilancia fue muy amable así como la anfitriona. El apartamento es limpio y con todas las comodidades, super recomendable 🫶🏻

Está ubicado en muy buena zona, restaurantes, plazas y tiendas cerca. Las instrucciones son muy claras y son entregadas a tiempo, sólo hay que leer con criterio. Es una excelente opción si quieres salir a caminar cerca. Para dos personas es suficiente.

Great place to stay in the heart of Zona 4. Lively area surrounded by restaurants, supermarket downstairs. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, and the host is super responsive and friendly. Recommended!

We enjoyed Juan’s place. It was clean and the resort was fantastic. We had a minor issue with the bathroom and Juan’s team came and took care of it. Thanks for the great stay.

Stayed for 3 nights and loved it! Andrea is very responsive to messages and helpful. The place was beautiful and was perfect to watch the morning sunrise. It is about a 20min walk to town but she gives you info for a tuktuk driver who is also reliable. No issue with bugs or scorpions like I’ve seen in reviews for other hostels/airbnbs/hotels. Overall would stay here again if I return to Guatemala
