Family-friendly holiday rentals in Guacimo

The house is very large, super comfortable, clean and very well equipped, it has even more than necessary, in addition to being very safe, David is super attentive and attentive to any need, he offered us a lot of collaboration at all times, we spent a few very beautiful days with family, always in communication with Kimberly.

Celia was an amazing host, her house was equipped with comfy beds, and everything needed to cook at home: bring briquettes for the grill, other than that it was everything and more for our group of 4, (2 couples)

This property is beautiful and was the perfect final stop for my wife and I to wrap up our honeymoon. The property manager Maria is extremely helpful and the view of the coffee fields from the back deck is pristine. There is plenty to do in the quiet town of Aquieres, such as a horseback tour of the coffee fields or a tour of the coffee factory. 10/10 would stay again.

Teo, Humberto and Monica could not have been nicer and more helpful during my stay. They have helped me find my way locally. They have helped me with groceries up the stairs and Humberto even built me a needed spice rack. They invite me to go to market with them several times per week. When I requested to be on the top floor so I could be high and up in the canopy they readily facilitated the move. The grounds are amazing. Private and safe from the highway this coffee finca is beautiful. There are lemon, lime, orange and avocado trees and when in season I was invited to use what I needed. The farm roads on the coffee finca offers a quiet place to walk peacefully, safely with quaint but beautiful views of the mountain and country side. Even the cat and dog were welcoming and treated me like family.

Have a nice time on Jimmy's place with my friends and pet. The cabin was spacious with a nice view and the place was perfect to walk in a calm and nice area. Regarding the access, had no issues with my Vitara 4x4. My other friend went up with a Grand Vitara 4x2 but has to take more impulse to go up. There is also an option to leave the car near the entrance and have a nice walk up to the cabin :).

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

Friendly hosts and remote, peaceful location. Very little human noise up on this mountaintop. Birds, night insects, frogs. I only heard one airplane. Saw a great curassow. The bungalow is on a horse farm and the area right around it is pretty open. Horse paths dip into the forest and you're allowed to walk these on your own. If you want to hike farther into the forest you can hire Chico (very nice man) to guide you into the river valley . Hike to the waterfall is a beautiful, slippery scramble to a lovely jungle oasis. Swimming at the base of the falls- glorious! Bungalow is rustic. If you like camping you will find it luxurious. If you don't, it may be too rustic for you. I loved it. Ferny outdoor bathroom is the nicest I've ever seen. Bungalow was musty when we got there but aired out nicely. Bed was very comfortable. Cold water only. Lighting is by candle - takes a little getting used to, but then so lovely. Hosts arranged transportation up and down mountain for me.

I went with my husband and some friends! We think the place is spectacular! Only that the place requires some maintenance both outside and inside. Keep it in mind if they go. But otherwise, excellent location as it is surrounded by nature, it is peaceful and quiet. Just what I was looking for

This is a wonderful place to experience all the beauty and wonder of Costa Rica. Mauricio and Christine are gracious hosts and made our stay perfect. Would highly recommend this place!

Casa Amapola is a beautiful house in a fabulous setting, with open views over the rainforest and down to the Caribbean Sea. It is spacious and well-equipped and you could easily sit on the veranda for days on end just enjoying the view and the wildlife around you. There is a bumpy track up to the Estate and then down to the property, but this is in relatively good condition for Costa Rican gravel tracks and is driveable with 2WD. The nearest town, Siquirres, is about 10km away and has a wide range of shops and restaurants. This is a beautiful place to stay if you want a quiet and peaceful experience of Caribbean Costa Rica and when they have finished upgrading the San Jose-Limon road then the coast will be easily accessible.

this place was really beautiful. A great place to get settled and rest up after the journey to Costa Rica. We did have a rental car and don't know how it would have been to get around without one, but pool, garden, nice house, kitchen, laundry, beautiful heard of cows across the street, constant flow of visiting birds, comfortable climate, sometime to help out if the Internet goes down or you need anything, and even a buzz zapper racquet to keep you from getting bit in the night if you happened to let a couple mosquitos inside. Overall a great stay, and I would stay there again if I make it back.

The house is very nice, clean, large and comfortable. The property is very nice and the walk along the trails is quite pleasant and accessible. We will stay again in the near future.
