Holiday rentals with a patio in Grindavik

Our family of 5 (3 pre-teens / teenagers) did an IcelandAir stopover for just a couple of days. This BnB was in a great location close to the airport and the city. The home itself was wonderful and easily accommodated us. We especially enjoyed the hot tub. Elisa provided amazing recommendations for things to do and local places to eat. I wish we had more time to spend in this wonderful country. When we come back, we hope Elisa and her family will host us again!

Pétur's place was perfect. It is like 20 minutes to downtown. There is a grocery store within walking distance. Cozy and perfect. We spent all evening listening to music and sitting on the couch, recounting our adventures. When we had a scare with parking, Pétur responded almost instantly (despite it being almost midnight). He left books on the table with information and recommendations for all of Iceland. I can not reccomend Pétur and his home enough.

It was a real joy staying in Ludvik's guest house. It was quite spacious for its size and all amenities were provided in abundance. It felt right at home and is an ideal place to stay before flying out of Iceland. It has our highest recommendation!

Björgvin reagiert schnell auf Nachrichten und hat flexibel und freundlich auf unsere veränderten Anreisezeiten reagiert. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ruhig, auf der kleinen Terrasse sitzt man gut. Die Wohnung ist modern eingerichtet. Für Netflix-Fans sind der Gastzugang und das große TV-Gerät sicherlich von Vorteil. In der Küche fehlten uns ein paar Kochutensilien. Für Besucher, die eher Essen gehen wohl nicht relevant. Ich empfehle Björgvin als Gastgeber.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lena and Brimir's place. They were exceptional hosts, making check-in a breeze and ensuring everything matched the description perfectly. The welcome file provided all the necessary details, and the rooms and beds were very comfortable. All required amenities were available. I highly recommend their place and would be delighted to stay with them again. All my queries were responded almost immediately.

(We stayed here twice) Great spot! It was clean and spacious. It feels like a quiet area but you are able to quickly walk to so much. We stayed here twice - at the beginning and end of our trip. We would stay again.

Para mí fue de los mejores lugares en los que me hospedé alguna vez! La ubicación no fue la mejores lugar para mí ya que estaba sin auto y estaba entre 2 y 4 kilómetros de distancia de los puntos a los que tenía que ir para las actividades o del centro de la ciudad. No hay mucho en esa zona. Frente al departamento hay un local de hamburguesas y eso es todo lo que vi. De todas maneras para mí la casa es hermosa y me sentí súper acompañada por Satsu, la gatita. Dormía la siesta conmigo y pasábamos las tardes y noches juntas! Ya la extraño 😭😭. La cama es súper cómoda, el sillón para dormir una siesta ahí también. La televisión es genial y tiene Netflix, youtube, etc 🙏. La verdad me sentí más cómoda que en mi propia casa 😂😂. Si alguna vez vuelvo, no dudaré en intentar hospedarme allí. Y si piensan en hospedarse ahí, cuiden a Satsu y trátenla con amor que es demasiado buena 💗

Fabulous property and perfect for our family of five. Very comfortable, we felt right at home, loved the furnishings and cozy beds. The location was very convenient to making day trips, close to groceries, and an easy drive to downtown Reykjavik. Nice views from the balcony, super quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

Cette maison est la plus propre et la plus confortable dans laquelle nous avons séjourné en Islande, peut être même durant tous nos voyages via Airbnb. Allez y les yeux fermés !!

We had a great time in Ari’s property. Everything is perfect and fully equipped, it is a warm and beautiful place. We walked around and also feed horses, it was fun. We will definitely come again if we visit Iceland in the future.

My family and I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb. The location was perfect—close enough to downtown, but still in a quiet, peaceful area. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed to feel comfortable. We also loved the thoughtful touches throughout the house, from cozy blankets to the coffee pots. This place made our trip even more memorable.

A beautiful, peaceful setting, with stunning views. Kathrin and her husband let us know when the northern lights appeared one evening and helped us with the settings on our i-phone so we could take the best pictures. Very appreciative or their help. We highly recommend their quiet cottage.

Great location!! Close and easy to all highways, 20 minutes to city and 20 minutes from KEF airport. Very quiet. The house had plenty of towels and linens and was very clean. This is owner's home, and she rents it out when she is out of town. It had 3 bedrooms and a fourth was a room partitioned off in the back of the large living room. There was also an oversized couch someone could sleep on. Plenty of comfortable and separate sleeping options. Would stay here again. Thanks

This was a great place to stay during our time in Reykjavik. It’s very easy to get to everything the city has to offer, but it is far enough away from the city center to be a peaceful quiet place to stay. We had everything we needed and more here. I’m so glad we were able to stay here, and would highly recommend it!

Arna’s place was lovely and my boyfriend and I had a great stay! The location could not be better, a quick walk from the church (Bus stop #8), which was the center of the NYE celebrations and where the airport bus dropped us off. All of the bars and restaurants were also a quick walk away. Price was extremely reasonable compared to the hotels we looked at! Overall a great find!

everything was awesome at this wonderful home in the best street in Reykjavik. highly recommend if you want to be in the middle of the city and walkable to highlights. Sigrun was also a very attentive host. I would ask a coffee bean grinder and press for those looking to brew their own coffee but the nespresso was plentifully stocked!! Tip to book a bus from airport like FlyBus which is far cheaper than the 150 to 200$ it otherwise costs for a taxi.

Wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Es war für uns der letzte Stopp unserer Winterreise und die Gemütlichkeit der Unterkunft hätte uns fast nicht mehr nach Hause fliegen lassen. Die Wohnung ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos und das einfache Leben durch die unmengen an Gewürzen, Tees, Kaffee hat das entspannte Erlebnis abgerundet. Man sollte keine Schwierigkeiten mit (wenn auch kurzen) steilen Treppen haben. Für uns eine ganz klare 10/10! Wir kommen gerne wieder, sollten wir nochmal nach Island reisen. We had a great stay at Unnur's apartment. It was a perfect base for our adventures around Reykjavik. The location was very close to downtown (10min drive), walking distance to the Sky Lagoon (highly recommended) and having free parking was a lovely amenity. The apartment itself was lovely - bright, clean and well appointed - and the host, Unnur was excellent - very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice quiet location just outside of the city centre.

What an absolutely wonderful Airbnb experience. The apartment was beautiful and super-clean, and the view was stunning! We loved looking out the window at the ocean in the evenings, and we took a lovely walk along the seafront one morning. We took day trips to the Golden Circle and the Snaefellsnes peninsula, and we were an easy drive from Reykjavik. Best of all, Salvor Lilja and her husband were amazing hosts. We enjoyed a sunset soak in the hot tub, and they very kindly provided a selection of beverages and Icelandic treats. They also very thoughtfully left the apartment stocked with amenities like coffee, tea, milk, beer, wine and chocolates. We would highly recommend to anyone!

Beautiful space, rental was immaculate. Very quiet area minus the slight noise from the construction across the street. Host was extremely accommodating to our check in requests.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. we had spent 1 week in different places between Reykjavik and Vik and this was by far the best Airbnb. The location is right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants and very walkable. The Airbnb has a private parking right in front of the entrance and was big enough for our 9 passanger van. The home is beautiful and has everything you could ever need on your stay. The host really put a lot of thought into every little detail. If you are looking at this home and it as available I would book it immediately.
