Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Grímsnes- og Grafningshreppur

Our stay was truly magical. Magnús’s home is beautiful inside and out, and it's location in the Icelandic countryside is nothing short of stunning. We had to content with bad weather during our stay, and Magnús was extremely flexible in making sure we made it safely to the cabin, evening going so far as to allow us to delay our stay by a few days. A perfect getaway for my family. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

I definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy cottage with a thermal pool, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature. The owners were always very friendly and helpful 😊

We were fortunate to have great weather in such a beautiful out of the way location. The host was very responsive, the place is lovely, and the additional hot tub and spa feature was welcome. They are clearly not accustomed to warm weather since the bedrooms were very warm for sleeping (even with open windows), but the living space and kitchen were wonderful. I would stay there again.

We spent a wonderful week in Selfoss. The cabin was located within a 30 min drive of so many of the natural wonders that Iceland offers, from spectacular water falls and geysers to volcano craters and natural hot water pools. The cabin is located in a private little forest, sheltered from the wind. We were seven guests in total and had plenty of space.

This is a beautiful house with very nice surroundings and mountain views. The house had everything we needed for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Being there was peaceful and the silence was amazing. The house is well insulated and was warm, despite the cold northerly wind we had, very nice floor heating and fire place. The house is an architectural marvel filled with very nice artwork.

If you are looking to stay near the National Park and enjoy a private, incredibly quite relaxing trip, this is the most amazing choice. For us this home was the perfect space, incredible design, stunning views with impeccable lighting. We needed to rest and relax while exploring the vast landscape of Iceland and this was beyond perfect. We will absolutely be back.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

The Viking Lodge is located approximately 20minutes driving from Selfoss. The views are amazing. The house is perfect. It is divided in two sections (each one with 2 bedrooms and a full toilet) with the central section (kitchen, dining room) connecting the two sections, making it perfect for two families. The house has everything, the kitchen is fully equipped. Outside there is a hot-tub (big enough for 8 people) and a sauna. We definitely recommend the Viking Lodge if you are looking for a secluded place, peace, tranquillity, with all the comforts. It is also very well located for visiting the Geysir area (45min driving). In Selfoss there are supermarkets, restaurants and everything needed.

This was a magical experience for my family. We felt like we were secluded in the most beautiful surroundings on the edge of the world. Audir and Omar are incredibly kind and welcoming hosts and their home is beautiful. Our kids enjoyed jumping on the trampoline and meeting the neighbors’ dog. We all felt so lucky to be able to stay in such a lovely, homey space.

Ein super Airbnb. Modern eingerichtet aber total gemütlich. Wir haben uns gleich wie Zuhause gefühlt. Der Hot Tube auf der Terasse: Ein Traum. Mit der Beschreibung super zu finden. Die Gastgeber sind immer telefonisch zu erreichen und kümmern sich hervorragend.

Stayed here with 3 families. The scenery is beautiful and the house is clean and comfortable. Hot tub was awesome! Lots to do within an hour drive but need to plan for food and grocery shopping while you are out, there’s nothing within a several min drive. We did have some trouble initially with getting to the property, but plug in the coordinates on maps. Also some issue with getting through the outer gate but Heimaleiga was responsive, you have to call them initially to open the gate and then there is a mobile phone you can use for the rest of your stay. There is a travel brochure that they will send you through Air B N B with a ton of info about the place but I didn’t get mine until after we had arrived. I think this would have helped. We were there in mid August and the bedroom got very hot at night, we had to open the windows but there are no screens on the windows so a bunch of flies got in. Screens on at least some of the windows would be my biggest recommendation!

Wir waren über Silvester für eine Woche in Omars Haus. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit und auch Glück mit dem Wetter. Konnten viel unternehmen und hatten an drei Abenden Nordlichter. Das Haus ist so wie beschrieben und die Lage ist wunderschön. Wir hatten einen 4x4 mit Spikes. Der war nötig um zum Haus zu gelangen, da die Straßen sehr eisig und verschneit waren. Aber damit war es kein Problem. Jederzeit würden wir wieder hier übernachten.

It's our third trip to Iceland and this is our favourite Airbnb so far. The surroundings is beautiful and quiet. The house itself is wonderful, comfortable and very clean. The hosts have really put in a lot of thought and effort to ensure that we have a great experience and want for nothing. Highly recommended!

A beautiful home and wonderful stay! The house was beautifully appointed, with modern yet lush furnishings and even luxury spa products. It had plenty of kitchen and bathroom supplies - spices, dishes, appliances, utensils, towels, etc. When there was something missing, the hosts immediately stopped by to replace or even purchase it. The iPad provide had all the necessary instructions and information (including on hot tub operation).
