The barn has a rustic charm expressed by repurposing nearly all its original materials. Internally it is lined with its old Jarrah weatherboards & corrugated iron & features massive exposed timber trusses & its original gantry and dolly. Massive deck & BBQ. The Barn is a delightful stay experience for a maximum of 4 people. We welcome children over 10yrs. Ensuites have underfloor heating. Full kitchen, dining area & generous lounge complemented by wood fire, smart TV & wifi. No pets allowed.

Stables by the Vines

In 1856, an English stonemason, Thompson Priest, began mining slate in Mintaro. At the same time, he built a home with stables at the rear of his property. Over the intervening years, the stables fell into a desperate state, however, recently, the Stable has returned to life through a sensitive restoration and refurbishment. Set on the edge of Reillys Winery, the Stable is a 100m walk through the vines to the cellar door and further 20 metres to the renowned Magpie Stump Hotel.

The Shed on Blackwood is a rural retreat in a large, bird-filled garden, offering peace and quiet in the South West of WA. It is half of a large shed, fully renovated, insulated and very comfortable. One queen bed (MAXIMUM 2 guests). In winter, snuggle up with a wood fire. In summer, walk along the river to town for your morning coffee. Our property is quiet, relaxing and ideal for weekend getaways. It is totally NON-smoking accommodation including the garden.
