Family-friendly holiday rentals in Government Camp

Great spot! Beautiful property that feels rustic but has modern technology (central heating/air, smart TV, plumbing, well functioning kitchen appliances). Neighbors are close by but it still felt secluded surrounded by the forest. Hot tub was the main reason we booked- couldn’t have lived up to the hype any better. Host Brad was super communicative ahead of check in and let us arrive quite early at no additional charge. Just a heads up that the bathrooms have some accessibility issues (downstairs toilet is quite cramped in a corner between a pedestal sink and the shower- the other bathroom/toilet is roomier but up a flight of beautiful but uneven log stairs with a partial handrail). We found this to be manageable for our needs but worth noting to anyone larger bodied or with mobility issues to double check whether it will work for yours. Hope to stay here again! Thanks Brad!

Perfect for large groups/families. We had a total of 14 of us (adults & kids) and we had more than enough room for everyone. The kids absolutely loved the pool table and the fireplace and the sauna was great after a day of skiing. There were a total of 4 bedrooms and a ton of beds. It was 2 stories so have to watch the little ones. Owners gave a tour upon checkin, which was great to have. It was about 15mins to Government Camp and had two smaller grocery stores within 5mins. The house is on the older side, but overall met our expectations and our needs for this family vacation!

We had a great time at Todd's cabin! The place was even more beautiful in person, cozy and yet still spacious. River is just a short walk from the house. The entire back patio is incredibly cute- we made great use of the hot tub and talked for hours on the couches outside. Todd also allowed us to check in early, which was so great for making the most of our weekend getaway. All in all a wonderful Airbnb :)

We’ve stayed several times and look forward to our next trip to hummingbird. Room and house layout meet our needs well. Lots to do around the area and then relaxing in the hot tub at night. Our favorite place on Mt Hood

We came up for a long weekend to celebrate a family birthday. We wanted a place close to skiing, with a nice hot tub. This place was perfect for our needs! The hot tub is absolutely awesome. Very clean and well kept, overlooking a very private forested backyard! Plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is very well stocked, they even have electric mixers, several different versions of coffee maker, and a Vitamix blender! The black squirrel is so cute and cozy, and pretty much right across the street from the government camp shuttle stop, about a five minute walk. They also had lots of kids toys and entertainment; several baskets full of Magnatiles, Duplos, Lincoln logs, etc. Our three-year-old even started learning to play chess! The rental management company is very friendly and helpful, and their office to pick up and drop off the key is right on the highway as you enter and leave town. I would highly recommend this cabin, and the rental managers as well!

Our stay was incredible! Rachel And Rico perfectly described their lovely home, and even then, it was more thanwhat we could have thought. Perfectly located near Sandy, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Relaxing in the hot tub and hearing the river near the property was very relaxing. Rachel And Rico were incredibly helpful and responsive, and even checked on us during our stay. When I one day come back to Oregon again, I will definitely stay here again.

This house was exactly what I was hoping to find. It's def in a neighborhood but once you get to the house it feels super private. It's very close to some amazing hiking as well. I didn't get to take full advantage of that, but I got a couple great hikes in. The hot tub was exactly what I needed. I would def stay again. Thanks!

We had a great time staying at Altitude Adjustment! Really cool place and layout, with plenty of room for everyone. Close walk to Government Camp and Skibowl. House is stocked with everything needed to have a fun, relaxing time! We will stay here again during our next trip to Mt. Hood!

This house was absolutely amazing! My friends and I felt both at home, and like we were on a fancy vacation. As we left, everyone's biggest complaint was that we had not booked it longer. We can't wait to stay again!

Very beautiful peaceful place to stay. Loved being able to walk our dogs around the property.

This is a cabin with extras! The pizza oven is the biggest standout, and it was supported by a truly well equipped kitchen. The appliances are high quality and like- new. Even the dishwasher is quiet. The bathroom of also deluxe. The heated floors were perfect on cold mornings. The deck has a great view for a morning coffee or soak in the hot tub. John is a great host- he's communicative and quick to respond. I can't wait to visit again.

amazing stay close to Portland and right at the bottom of Mt. Hood. peaceful digs. well appointed. super comfy bed and chairs. kitchen stocked very well. I'm a Chef and tested out a few recipes for a campaign. Had everything I needed. nice fire pit out back as well. will definitely stay again.

My son and I stayed at Fawnda’s place for our vacation. Her house was like a home away from home. It was spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed. Fawnda is very kind and helpful and always answered my questions quickly. She lives in the unit right below the Airbnb, so she’s almost always available if we needed anything, and she would text us to ask if we needed anything. I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb’s, and this is one of the top two nicest ones that I have stayed at. Fawnda takes really good care of the home. The location in Sandy is also great for going to the waterfall corridor or Silver Falls State Park or anything in Portland.

We have stayed at Charlie’s place several times before and it’s always welcoming, clean, and a nice place to spend time with family. Lots to do on the mountain and great restaurants in town with kitchen amenities if you want to cook or bake. Highly recommend! Thanks for another great stay, Charlie!

This place was adorable. It had cute little Knick knacks that really added to its character. The shower was amazing and never runs out of hot water. The sheets in the beds were so soft and the beds were cozy. No tv but we ended up bringing one of my smart TVs and the WiFi was really fast. The hot tub was great. If you turn out the porch lights it’s pitch black and you can just enjoy the stars while taking a hot soak. Can’t wait to stay again soon.

The Pickle was a great place for our family. Kitchen has everything you need and the place was clean. It’s in a small neighborhood which was quiet during our stay.

We had a great stay at Nedra’s place! We loved the walking path in the back next to the river, it was beautiful and peaceful! We also loved the rock band and spent the bad weather day inside relaxing and playing rock band as a family. Something we never do so it was super fun! There was plenty of food places nearby so we took advantage of that as well as cooked breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen! Beautiful location, fully functional house we would definitely love to stay again!

I couldn’t imagine a better Airbnb while staying at Mt Hood. The home is absolutely gorgeous, extremely well cared for, pristinely clean, conveniently located a block from grocery options and a short drive to the primary areas to play on the mountain such as skibowl, Timberline and Meadows… it’s the perfect home-base for your Mt Hood gateway.

Place was just what we were looking for. Plenty of space the 4 of us to have our own rooms, and could have accommodated many more. Felt very private for being a condo, and had good cooking amenities. The pool, though lacking in aesthetic, was really warm and appeared to be cleaned daily, I enjoyed the evening swims. Thanks for sharing the lovely space!

This was an amazing treehouse! The property is super awesome, peaceful, beautiful, incredibly relaxing! They were such sweet hosts as it was our anniversary and we came from a perimeter walk to a nice surprise! Very thoughtful host! I highly recommend staying here! Thank you both!! 😊
