Jochem's place is, as others have said, whimsical and creative. He is the ultimate host, very generous with snacks, groceries, coffee, and wine (thank you!). It is clear that he has worked hard to create a unique environment. Here is our list of pros and cons: Pros: Communicative, responsive, kind and generous host Great, safe location - we walked everywhere in this beautiful city Very well stocked fridge, a bottle of wine as a welcome Great shower Nice, big bed Washer and dryer Cons: While Jochem has created nice "mood" lighting, it was somewhat dark for us, and particularly for a woman trying to put on makeup, fix hair, etc. There was absolutely no storage for our clothing, and being on a long trip, it was a challenge living out of suitcases on the floor. The toilet room sink is very tiny with only cold water, and we had to use the kitchen sink to wash up and brush our teeth. I could barely walk around the bed as it takes up most of the bedroom.

Sehr schönes Airbnb in guter Lage mit freundlichen Gastgebern. Kann ich sehr empfehlen.

Nous avons passé des merveilleuses vacances chez Willems, je ne m’attendais pas à être dans sa maison mais tout est fait pour y être à l’aise. Un petit livret est posé afin qu’on sache quoi faire dans les environs. Ça aide beaucoup et il est super réactif lorsqu’on lui demande comment accéder à un endroit. Merci encore

Perfect verblijf gehad bij Jessie en Johan. Communicatie vooraf was duidelijk en vriendelijk en de woning was precies zoals beschreven en we voelden ons er direct thuis. Huiselijk, passend in de stijl van Volendam en heerlijk rustig. Ontbijt was goed verzorgd en alles was aanwezig. Absoluut een aanrader dus voor een verblijf in Volendam.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour chez José. Elle s'est montrée flexible et très accueillante. Le logement est très agréable, bien lumineux. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et copieux. Et enfin, le cadre est exceptionnel : Vianen est un super endroit. Je vous recommande chaleureusement de passer à Vianen par chez José!

Wir haben vier Tage Amsterdam erkundet und das Haus war dafür perfekt. Ruhige Lage, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Man kann ganz entspannt zu Fuß (ca. 25 Minuten) zur Fähre (umsonst) gehen und dann in die Innenstadt von Amsterdam fahren. Das Haus war sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet. Man hat sich direkt wie Zuhause gefühlt. Das Haus war außerdem sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Die Kommunikation mit Mijntje war super. Sie hatte tolle Tipps für die Gegend. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt, gerne wieder!

Daniel was extremely responsive on chat from the get go. He adjusted our checkin times a couple of times because we changed the train that we traveled by from Brussels to Amsterdam. He met us right on time when we arrived, acquainted us with the place, told us about nearby cafes (not coffee shops!) and restaurants. The place is very well located for public transport, with tram 14 and bus 22 literally around the corner, and with direct connection to the central areas like the palace, Rijkmuseum, and the central station. There are really nice brunch and dinner places within a 10 minute walk too. The apartment has a unique and eclectic touch, from art/photography books to the selection of furniture. I would highly recommend this place for your travels. Only thing to note is that the place is about 20-25 min by public transport to the central areas. So, if you plan to go out once in the day, tour around, and come back in the evening, this is perfect.

L’appartamento di Maja è bellissimo e molto confortevole, non manca niente. Dalle grandi finestre entra una luce meravigliosa! I bambini hanno molto apprezzato i giochi nella camerina. La posizione è ottima, in un attimo a piedi si è a Vondelpark oppure alla fermata del tram. Maja è stata gentile disponibile ed amichevole nelle comunicazioni!

We really loved this place! It was a perfect balance to be in a quieter part of Amsterdam within such easy access of outdoor activities to balance with the city tourism. It was so simple and fast to get to city center. It was also extremely helpful to have the bikes and kayaks, we really made use of them. Fred gave the clearest instructions for finding the place and navigating the city that I've ever had and made our stay seamless! He was a great host!

Doortje’s home was just wonderful for our family of three (mom, dad, 6-year-old). Very cozy (and quirky!) but also quite spacious. Excellent location, lots of natural light, and clean. You’re definitely staying in someone’s home (which we liked) so if you’re looking for a sterile, hotel-like apartment this isn’t the place for you. We would stay here again.

Dids place was exceptional! Don’t hesitate to book. Apartment is adorable with very comfortable bed. Close to everything. Make sure you have brunch at Un.Commin directly across the street. Dids was so friendly and helpful. A lovely woman. Felt very welcome in her well stocked home. Would definitely stay here again!

Rodrigo was communicative and clear whenever we needed anything

Suzanne has been a great host. Her house is in a nice neighborhood, close to the center. Access to the flat is very easy from the airport. You can walk to the center or easily take a tram from the nearby station. All the details about the flat, its rooms, two floors, etc that were given on the Airbnb website were fully in place. It is a very nicely decorated, comfortable and tidy flat. Obviously, Suzanne and her husband have intricately decorated the house to their taste. We especially loved the patio! The bedrooms were tidy and the beds were quite comfortable. We especially care for clean bathrooms as a family, and both bathrooms and the shower were in good shape. The kitchen was very convenient as well, with food in the fridge and a bottle of red wine left for us. We really liked the artwork placed on the walls. One suggestion is that the check-in and check-out times can be a bit more flexible. Overall, I would recommend Suzanne's place to all.

Marije met us at the apartment.The apartment was pretty, bright and spacious. She had some cold beers waiting for us which were very welcome. Marije was very friendly and showed us everything in the apartment and gave some suggestions about neighborhood restaurants and stores. She was a lovely lady and gracious host. Bed was comfortable, good shower.

Rob was an incredible host. he made us Dutch breakfast and solved all our problems . his house is beautiful

Wir haben zwei Nächte bei Wilco und Karen übernachtet. Mit Kindern war die Lage einfach perfekt, umgeben von Tieren und Wiesen. Meine Tochter fand besonders die Ziegen vor der Tür toll und morgens hat es ihr großen Spaß gemacht, die Eier von den Hühnern selber zu holen. Alles, was man fürs Frühstück benötigt (Wurst, Käse, Brötchen, Croissants, usw.) wurde täglich aufgefüllt. Man kann also direkt in der Wohnung frühstücken und ist nicht auf eine Zeit angewiesen. War für uns super praktisch. Obst und Gemüse haben wir selber dazu gekauft, fanden wir aber überhaupt nicht schlimm. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet und es ist alles da, was man benötigt. Uns hat alles gut gefallen und wir würden gerne wiederkommen 🤗

Irmi is a fantastic host and a great person. My room was exactly as per the photos and description. Irmi sent across useful information about transport in the area, and was always quick to reply to messages. Nice 20 minute walk to the local train station, with bus option also available from near the house to the station. Amsterdam centre only 20 minutes by train from there. Overall would highly recommend, thanks again for having me stay Irmi and for the lovely breakfasts!

Mark is an exceptional host and a great person. The house was like walking into design/art fairytale and it was maintained so incredibly well. Everything was so well-maintained, carefully curated and well-placed. Truly a beautiful experience to stay there.

From start finish all instructions were very helpful. From Airport to Apartment. Loved the apartment was clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast was great. Tram stop was 2 mins walking distant which took you into Amsterdam which we found very handy. If ever coming back to Amsterdam we would definitely stay here again. We had a wonderful stay with Maurice! He is a very welcoming and attentive host, always ready to help optimize your travel plans so you can still visit everything you want, even if the weather changes. The location also offers excellent transport connections to Amsterdam, making it very convenient. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to come back!

Had an amazing experience at Babette’s. I wish I would have stayed longer than 2 nights. I stayed 2 nights in Amsterdam prior to coming to Babettes’s and I so wish I stayed here the whole time and took the 20ish minute trip to Amsterdam instead! The property and room are exceptionally beautiful and well kept. The neighborhood is also beautiful and quiet. With restaurants and shops a short walk away. Babette was a great host. Very friendly and accommodating. helped me look for options to get back to the airport. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
