We find a beautiful place where we share a weekend accompanied by dogs and nature, a cozy place to go as a group or as a very spacious couple in the equipped kitchen to prepare what we like... Even being small to explore, the company of the dogs and the beautiful of the vegetation make the stay very pleasant in a climate where although it is cold the house preserves the heat very well... It takes me a great surprise, the place is incredible, visit the place with my wife, the place is super clean, there is everything, it is a safe place, from the location we were easily able to move to many places including restaurants, shops etc., the super friendly staff, safe parking lot, I would definitely go back and it became our place when we visit San José, I recommend it for the rate and everything else mentioned above.

We enjoyed staying at Cat’s and Yolanda’s home. Even though there is shared common areas, we felt very comfortable and private. Afternoon swims in the pool and lounging in the hot tub was relaxing. Quiet mornings in the upper deck were peaceful and you could hang out and enjoy the gorgeous valley view. We are fairly active so walks into town were very doable. Atenas has a good mix of tourists and locals and is a friendly town.

We had a wonderful stay in this newly built apartment. The host was extremely helpful in assisting with taxi pickups and even arranging leaving transport. Atenas is a small but friendly town. Our stay was mostly spent on the large covered patio with kitchen watching the rain and birds. Their German Shepard was very gentle though a bit vocal one of our nights. For some reason, the all new outlets were very finicky about allowing anything to plug in, but we managed. Furniture was sparse but functional. Over all a very reasonably priced rural tico home. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and would stay again. Airbnb however refused to accept any credit cards, after initial use, so we had to shift to another booking app to use the cards or be stranded.

Just a beautiful and calm place to stay close to San Jose and a very friendly host.

I highly recommend this home!! Especially if you need to be near the San Juan de Dios or the Children's Hospital. Right in the center of downtown and all that is here. I stayed here because my husband was in the hospital and this family helped me so much! They know the hospital and people who work there. Makes navigation of the system so much easier! The house is an older house that the owner is gradually renovating. She has re-done the rooms for rentals and made them very comfortable. There is a central sitting area and a balcony where I had my morning coffee! The original parquet flooring and other antiques give the rooms a special charm. The rooms are large with large ensuite bathrooms. Easy to find. Parking is available. It is on a busy street, but it gets quiet at night. I slept so well. I highly recommend this place, especially if you need to be at one of the nearby hospitals. Isa was very easy to communicate with, and truly is the best host.

Beautiful room in a beautiful location. Close to a mall for breakfast food options and dinner options within walking distance. Easy to get in and out of for airport transfers. Views were amazing.

I've used Airbnb for 8 years, all over the world and Karen's place has the best view yet. Based on Karen's Bio, you can tell she used her expertise on these casitas. All the appliances and homeware are all high end. Karen's place is situated in a very high end and safe location. A house with a pleasant atmosphere. The room is spacious. I slept very well there. And the garden is a dream. Keto was very generous. I was allowed to make a salad in the afternoon before I left and eat it in the garden, even though I had actually left the room at 11. Thank you!

It is a special place for long stays, it has all the comforts, the hosts are spectacular, service, cleanliness, internet and close to everything. Great experience

Ketho was the best host I could have imagine for my three months stay in San José! :) Since he lives in the house too he‘s always there to help and answer your questions with his funny and dry humour I loved a lot. And in the sometimes a bit loud city of San José, the garden is the perfect calm place to come down and read a bit. I woke up with birds chirping and the sound of water - thus, absolutely recommendable if you have to stay in the city. And on top of that, the location is quite nice - whether you plan some trips from San Jose, a lot of tour providers offer a pick up at a hotel nearby, you‘re at the airport in 30min, whether you wanna go for a walk/run, you‘ll have the La Sabana park around the corner, or whether you just want to stay in a safe area of San José. So thanks Ketho and the team for making my stay in San José so great :)
