Family-friendly holiday rentals in Goat Island

Everything was exactly as described and the location was FANTASTIC for traveling with small kids. Tamra & Lisa were great communicators ahead of and during our stay, even welcoming us with wine and cheese. Everything was comfortable and the pack n play & high chair on site were a great bonus. The kitchen is fully, full equipped if you like to do some cooking at “home” like we do. There are some fragile items at curious tot level but the living areas are child friendly. Absolutely recommend these hosts and this stay!

Our stay was like a home away from home…our host John is the best host we’ve had yet!! Quick reply’s very friendly and helpful…the home was equipped with everything you need with the sweetest final Touches …the pool and hottub were soo relaxing …such a peaceful setting inside and out i would recommend this home over and over and any home hosted by John…thankyou for everything John!!

I have stayed all over Wild Dunes over the past 20 years. This was definitely one of the best I've stayed in. Beautiful, clean condo with beautiful views! Wish we could've stayed longer!

It was really clean and smelled nice. he also provided a lot of towels which was nice. everything worked how expected and the property is beautiful.

This house was a great spot for our large group. A quick hop across the street to beautiful open beaches. A quick and beautiful walk right down the beach to restaurants, shops. We all agreed- we’d come back!

Great home to stay in. Super clean perfect location and is truly the best balcony in Folly Beach!

We were in town celebrating my brother’s wedding, and Joseph’s home was the perfect place to unwind and spend time with family. The pool area was beautiful! He was extremely responsive and the home was very comfortable and well equipped.

Pura Vida was great for us! I was traveling with two teenaged grandchildren and two of their friends, and my two year old grandson. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together or to have some space to themselves. Lots of options for everyone to do! Unfortunately (or fortunately) we never figured out how to use the tv effectively or the DVD player, but honestly, I think that was for the best! It’s a nice walk to the beach, and you can hear the ocean while hanging out in the yard or on the porch.

Apartment was very clean and great location between the beach and downtown Charleston.

We enjoyed this Airbnb a lot! Lovely views back and front and the beach is maybe 3 minutes walk (look for the public access sign to the left, about three houses down). Great shower! Lovely kitchen! Comfy sofas! If we ever come back to folly beach, we would love to stay again. For the mobility challenged, it is only 12 steps to front door, unlike a lot of neighboring houses, which are on stilts and have 25+ steps. 😁

We loved the central location to many things to do, places to eat, and the cleanliness of the unit. The coffee shop around the corner was awesome and King street is a short walk away. Jamie and the staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The only bummer was the fact that my search filters were for a pool. This unit provides pool access to the Wonder but it is 25 and up so not family friendly and is not onsite so we didn’t get to use it. Traveling from the north where temps are still cool in May, this was a major decision factor in my booking and I missed the fine print. Not blaming the host, just something I missed that is worth calling out, in case this is relevant to you. Other reviews mentioned noise levels due to the prime location but we didn’t have that problem. You can hear people walking and talking but it caused no disturbances or impacted our enjoyment. My family and I loved our long weekend in Mt Pleasant at Melissa's place! We frequent the area often and this has been our favorite airbnb to date. We 100% will be back! The place feels cozy and right at home. The pool is an added bonus. It was perfectly maintained and the lights at night were great! The location is perfect, quick drive to the beaches and restaurants. You do have to share the backyard/pool area with your neighbor but we had very nice/respectful neighbors in the next door unit. Book it, you won't be disappointed. We didn't want to leave!

This is our favorite spot to stay when in the Charleston/Mt Pleasant area. It's so close to everything we love. We can bike through the cute neighborhood or to Shem Creek. It's so close to Charleston, but away from the busy areas. The backyard is perfect for our dog and there is a neat firepit that is always stocked and ready to go. Great area to hang out with family or friends. Rebecca and Brad are very responsive. I've only reached out to thank them, I've never needed anything more than the house had already. It's stocked perfectly, always clean, and there are always delicious treats waiting for us. I'll be honest, the chocolate cake they leave us is the reason we keep going back! It's thoughtful and the best cake we've ever had! We just love it here and will be planning another trip soon!

We were so impressed with Amy’s house. The house has been wonderfully renovated and updated while maintaining the character of antique Charlestonian homes. Our family was visiting for a wedding and we were so impressed with all the amenities provided to make our stay comfortable. Amy and her husband were proactive and very helpful in our check-in and throughout our stay.We will definitely try to stay again if in Charleston.

Excellent Airbnb. The house is just like the description and was incredibly clean and neat. It had all the amenities featured in the listing and the host was responsive and gracious about pets. Fantastic location on Folly… 5 min walk to the beach with a nearby access and 5 min to the strip with restaurants. Will come back!

My family felt very comfortable and safe staying in the heart of Charleston with the easy-to-use coded locking systems on the front gate, 2nd floor entry door and suite entrance door. The apartment had all of the stuff, as advertised with all systems and appliances functioning well. We received very prompt and friendly responses from the property manager to any questions we had. It is in a great location, with all Charleston's finest restaurants, store and attractions within walking distance. We hope to book this apartment again for our next visit to Charleston.

Pelican Watch is a beautiful place on Seabrook. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the backdoor with a great view from the back porch. You need a car to get to most restaurants but great places are 10-20 minutes away. Harris Teeter is well stocked nearby with great steaks and seafood as well as wine. I’d definitely stay here again.

Beautiful clean house in a great neighborhood. Great location, there is a lot to do and see within a short drive. Host was very welcoming and very responsive to our questions. Highly recommend this house.

We had a great stay on Seabrook Island. Tom’s instructions were very detailed and clear, and the space was clean and comfortable. Would recommend!

We were in town for about 3 weeks and Robs place was perfect for us. The home itself was extremely clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was peaceful and safe and had a very nice pool as well. Felt totally comfortable going for a walk each day. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, Folly Beach, Daniel Island, Beach Walker at Kiawah, and downtown Charleston during our stay. All were within 30 min - an hour away with Kiawah being the furthest. Our main goal during our stay was to explore Summerville as a community which we did! After full days it was so nice to have Robs place to come back to and feel so comfortable. We really enjoyed time on the back screened lanai.

This is a great place to stay. Unbelievable views and close to everything. Thomas is ready to contact and always very helpful. Would definitely recommend and we will be staying again.

The house was rented specifically for a golf weekend. It was very close proximity wise to both golf courses we played. Large pool was nice to have after a hot round of golf.

I loved everything about this beautiful property, they have everything that you need , it’s very kid friendly, looks just like the pictures and I love that this house is rooted in God !

Very nice house and neighborhood. Place was very clean and it was so nice to have everything you would need in the kitchen, such as salt and pepper, tin foil, some trash bags, and cooking utensils. Was even nice to have some beach chairs in the shed. The pool and backyard was amazing. We went the last week of March and unfortunately it was a little chillier week, so did not get to swim too much. It was a close walk to the beach, about an 8-10 minute walk. We did rent a golf cart but don’t think it was really needed. Would definitely stay here again!!
