Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Garden District, New Orleans

Ian was an incredible host—super communicative and accommodating from the start. He even texted a few hours before our arrival to ask what temperature we’d like the thermostat set to, which was such a thoughtful touch. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully furnished, and just a block and a half from Magazine Street, which made exploring the area super easy. The kitchen was spotless and really well stocked, and the linens felt like pure luxury. The beds and pillows were insanely comfortable—we slept like rocks. Honestly, I kind of want to keep this gem to myself, but I have to say: I highly recommend both the accommodations and Ian as a host!

This was a great place to stay. A bit farther from the city, but close to other things. Uptown is a good place to stay if you want to venture out, but have a quieter place to go home to. The large windows and remote controlled window treatments were a nice touch. It rained a couple of times and it was beautiful to be there for it.

Well appointed and comfortable home with nice bed, good water pressure, great AC and friendly, helpful host, living right on the premises. Walkable to great restaurants and bars on Magazine street. About a $15 uber to French Quarter and Marigny.

Booked Mandie's location for a tenant due to a work project on their rented unit. She enjoyed her stay and stated it was comfortable and clean. Also Mandie responded to all of my questions with the correct information and with timeliness.

We stayed here for our 5 days/4 nights in New Orleans. The bnb was exactly how pictured. Very clean. Very close to everything. We had a blown light bulb and they dropped a bulb off quickly. We would happily book again if we visit NO again.

We stayed for 4 night at this place in New Orleans. The neighbourhood is perfect if you don’t want to stay in the middle of the french quarter 😊 Everything is walkable with a lot of bars and good restaurants in the surroundings. The place itself is perfect! Cosy, super clean and the beds are amazing. We felt directly at home and would love to come back one day 😊

The house was beautiful - if anything, I feel like it *exceeded* my expectations. Super spacious, lovingly decorated, all that good stuff. And the location was perfect, too; close to everything you want to be close to, but with enough privacy to get a good night's sleep. But that's just the house itself. Jason & Michelle were INCREDIBLE hosts. Just extraordinarily accommodating/communicative. I had a kinda wacky shipping request (due to my line of work/reason for being there), and Michelle wasn't just "okay with it", she was my dang partner in the whole ordeal. Simply above and beyond. I wouldn't just recommend this spot to a pal; I would chastise them for going elsewhere. 6 stars!!! <3

Giuliano let me check in early and met me at the house. He was as friendly and helpful in person as he had been on text (i.e. very) and walked me through everything I needed to know about the place, from the air conditioners to which light switches governed what, the locks, all of it. I don't always like to intersect with my Airbnb host but in this case there were several facets to the place that would have been trickier to figure out on own. So that first little "tutorial" was hugely valuable. Plus Giuliano is warm presence who was just nice to be around during our brief little interaction. I'll definitely want to stay there again someday :)

Stayed here as we were passing through the state and looking for a quick but potent New Orleans experience. Adam’s home was the perfect combination of comfortable amount of space for three people, a location with plenty of options for food and entertainment, within walking distance or a short drive, and relaxation with a relatively quiet neighborhood feel. We felt safe and the parking was available right out the front door which were big pluses for us. The home was well stocked and the communication with the hosts was the cherry on top. Exceptional!

We had a wonderful stay at Ryan’s place! The location was perfect! Close to everything we needed and the list of local recommendations he provided was super helpful. The house itself was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Ryan was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

David checked in everyday to make sure everything was great..his cute place is “squeaky clean”, I’m kinda compulsive so I notice that stuff! I especially appreciated the washer/dryer in unit since I had another stop before heading home. Kitchen well stocked, linens fluffy, bed comfy. Would stay here again! Be sure to check out the taco joint up the street..sooo good!

Everything was just as described. Neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Parked on the street right in front of the entrance to the property. Uber was $15 ish dollars for a 10-15 min ride to Canal St. had a cute coffee shop around the corner and a few restaurants nearby on Magazine St. only suggestions are maybe a topper for the bed to make it not quite as firm and ceiling fan did not work but there was a tower fan available and the 2 window units worked just fine to keep us cool at night.

Michael and Robert were incredible hosts. From the moment of arrival to every communication during our stay. They were friendly and thoughtful and made our first time to New Orleans that much nicer. The space was very nice and clean and super comfortable. A/C was definitely our saviour during our stay! The area was so nice and relaxing yet exciting. Plenty of amenities within short walking distances meant you would never need to leave the area if you didn’t want to. Which would be crazy because New Orleans as a whole has so much to offer everyone! Everything we had planned to do and see was within a convenient 20-25 minute drive max. The food was incredible, the people were so nice and our stay with Robert and Michael in this incredible city just may have made the short list for one of our favourite trips to date. We cannot wait to return and we will absolutely be booking with Michael and Robert again in the future.

My stay with Preservation Green was awesome! Absolutely stellar location, 2 blocks from Magazine Street and less than a block from a phenomenal sandwich/cocktail joint. Kendra was AMAZING, so accommodating and welcoming. Super responsive. Overall, a great experience in the Garden District. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at Brenna and nicks place! Awesome area and only a couple blocks from magazine street!! 10/10 would recommend!!

Place was great! Beautiful and well kept! It is noisy because it's on St Charles but they have a fan in the room we turned on and it drowned out the noise really well. The courtyard is nice to have breakfast in the morning and chill. Thanks so much for letting us stay!!

We had a wonderful stay and everything was as described. The location is perfect for being close to public transit and many great restaurants. There is some street noise throughout the night, but that is expected when staying right in the heart of everything. Would definitely recommend for anyone planning to stay in the area.

Michelle’s place was as advertised with lots of room, clean, relatively quiet for its location and a great Mediterranean restaurant right next door as an extra bonus. Would recommend to anyone looking for a close location to the French Quarter but far enough away from the crowds.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brad’s place. The location was great. Just a couple of blocks from the French Quarter and a lot less hectic. Right on the street car line which was handy. The place is very comfortable and had everything we needed. A great place to relax and feel at home at the end of a long day.

A beautiful, home in a prime location. Everything on Magazine is at your fingertips and the porch sitting taking in the energy of New Orleans was a major highlight. Parking also available directly in front of home whenever we arrived. Excellent choice!

We had a great time at Baileys place. It was very well positioned for Tulane’s graduation. Easy and commodious.

Very convenient location and very safe, walkable neighborhood. Located above a bakery, and on the same block as a tapas restaurant and the best ice cream spot in New Orleans. We’re moving cross country so it wasn’t ideal carrying a lot of heavy luggage up the stairs, but if we were traveling light like we normally do, it would be no big deal. Lots of natural light in the apartment and cozy decor. Our host was friendly and very responsive! And our favorite thing about this place was the location! Thank you!

Such a perfect spot for our weekend trip to New Orleans! The location was great on a nice quiet side street just steps from Magazine Street. The house was so charming and had plenty of room. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch in between our New Orleans adventures. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to NOLA.
