Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Gangtok

It's tucked away in the beautiful and untouched Himalayan village of Lopchu. Keshav and his family were incredibly warm — their hospitality was truly something else. I stayed here with my older parents, and we were made to feel completely at home, like part of the family. Getting there can be a bit tricky, but with Keshav around to guide you, it’s totally manageable. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time. P.S. You can take a peaceful walk around the tea garden nearby. They also served us lovely homely food for dinner at a very reasonable price.

What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

our stay was amazing,talk about location or environment everything was fabulous,if you want a break from the hectic city life,must come here. now besides the view you get from your room and the beautiful place you get there...the people there are beyond outstanding,Rajesh himself is a person with evergreen personality,and every member of his family is equally amazing his mom(her never ending smile and kind gesture made us feel we are in our home only), (the food they prepare is the best actually, throughout our stay we were excited for every meal) overall every thing was outstand. hope to visit there again❤️

I recommend this place very strongly to all visiting Gangtok. firstly, the host, Tashi, is extremely friendly and very welcoming. she did make me feel comfortable even before I reached the location through upfront communication. She is extremely polite and very helpful. the best was she creating a textual group, immediately after stay confirmation and added all the concerned people who would be helping me throughout the stay. very accommodating with last minute requests. always available. great staff. she always kept checking if I was OK and if I needed anything. The accomodation is situated in a peaceful location and provides scenic views. The room is spotlessly clean and a well maintained premises. can order ones choice of food as Zomato operates in the area. staff is at hand to assist with requests over a phonecall I was also helped to hire a bike from close by rental shop at a good rate, thanks to Tashis recommendation. chunni homestay will always be my favourite place to stay.

Very nice and welcoming people. Both Laxmi ji and his wife made us feel right at home. He treated us like their own family member, always responsive and keen on taking care of us. They've got a picturesque place right at the hilltop, the view was so pristine and beautiful that we felt we should've stared at the mountains and nature all day long. We had a great time there! We thank Laxmi ji and his family from the bottom of our hearts!

I had a wonderful stay at Tongdenlee Homestay! Although the kitchen wasn't available for guest use, the host made up for it by providing absolutely delicious, home-cooked meals that gave a true taste of the local cuisine. One of the highlights of my stay was how smoothly they arranged the Protected Area Permits—everything was handled efficiently and without any issues. The hospitality was warm and thoughtful throughout. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the region with ease and comfort!

Tsewang is a true gentleman. He has gone the extra mile and also prepared places to visit in Gangtok including offbeat locations usually missed by tourists. The best part of the property is they provide organic farm fresh home cooked meals grown at a farm managed by him and his family. My daughter had a great experience visiting the farm. Thankyou Chusong and Tsewang for making a memorable visit.

A Truly Insightful and Comfortable Stay! Our experience at this homestay was exceptional, thanks in large part to our host’s unparalleled knowledge of the local area. From hidden gems to popular landmarks, he guided us with spot-on suggestions. What made it even more convenient was his ability to arrange transportation easily and at reasonable rates. We never had to worry about finding cabs or navigating unfamiliar roads — everything was taken care of smoothly and efficiently. The caretaker Thapa aunty was an accomplished chef and provided us fresh and delicious food. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep.

Its pretty good the rooms are cozy, for best price we felt it like more like home. We are provided with all amenities. The only issue is that apartment is bit hard to reach so we paid huge amt of money for taxi so i prefer to pick the rentals in the town which saves money. Even the staff are good and speak politely. The food is also very tasty.
