Holiday rentals with lake access in Gafanha da Encarnação

This is our best stop on a trip to Portugal. The house has everything you need, it's just nice to be inside. We were still in the moment when the electricity and communication went missing in Portugal - so the hostess and her family showed unreal care - and they brought candles, and the grill was lit and offered food - well, we never had such a cool "apocalypse"! I definitely recommend!

I want to express my sincere thanks for the exceptional experience I have had. From the first moment, I felt welcome and valued. The service was impeccable, and the attention to detail really made a difference. I am impressed with the dedication and commitment they demonstrated in every interaction. in general, this is a very good place to stay in. Hugo is nice but not very responsive. the place has a unique vibe since it set up as a small village rather then a house. meaning the toilets are out side the house. water pressure is very low so we had to take woderfull baths. the soccer table did not had balls to play with and that room was rather dirty. the water are not good for drinking and the closest place to get water is 15 min. drive. too bad he didn't mention that. the house had an odd smell of old people's house. can use some refreshment. other then that it is really an excellent place to stay in.

Our stay was amazing. We went to Grijó for a wedding and the location couldn't be more perfect. Emília was an amazing host, super available, attentive and of a giant sympathy! The house, besides the excellent cleaning, is very welcoming and is equipped with everything we need and something else :) all the corners were thought to detail with a lot of love and affection, both inside and outside that is also very pleasant ! And it's impossible not to feel the good energy ❤️ We sincerely thank you for your attention and look forward to coming back!

We had a lovely week at the house and the surrounding nature. The house was beautifully located, well equipped and clean! Although we had very rainy weather during our stay, we still enjoyed beautiful hikes and the house offered a cosy refuge for us. Would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Thank you for the hospitality António!

I so enjoyed my stay in this stunning stone house built by the host's direct relatives! I was truly charmed by the soft tinkling of goats' bells in the pasture, the adorable village dog known and loved by all, a private porch, a crackling fire on a chilly night. This village and it's people are really special, experimenting with organic farming and regularly offering multi-generational events. I was even invited to a village party that included impromptu music, singing and dancing. Self-taught musicians played accordians, guitars and ukuleles while their neighbors & relatives danced. If I moved to Portugal (I wish I could!) I would want to vacation here for a month every year. It's a perfect spot for a writer's retreat, quiet reflection or uninterrupted time together as a couple. The kitchen is a fully functional kitchen, with all the pots, pans, implements and appliances you could possibly need to prepare and serve a meal for 10 (even an immersion blender!)

This place was so magical. A big group of us came to stay for a half marathon in Aveiro and it was the perfect weekend - the pool was fabulous, the pond was so meditative, the sunrises were beautiful. The rooms were all super comfortable (3 of them en-suites plus additional shared bathrooms) and the kitchen was great to cook in. We were going to have lunch in Aveiro after the race but decided to head back to chill by the pool and have a bbq because it’s such a relaxing place. Plenty of space for everyone. We even had to stay an extra night because of the nationwide blackout and João and his family were so kind and accommodating - in the end we were so grateful we got to spend an extra night in this wonderful place! Can’t recommend highly enough and would love to come back in future.

Short stay to visit friends nearby. Marvelous private house. All brand new and clean. Great arrival and reception. Verry friendly tour by owner and a beautyful welcome table prepared with wine, fruit, jam, cake etc. Bottles of water in every bedroom, we felt right at home. Private parking behind the gate, lots of space for multiple cars. Beautifull views from the terraces around the house and a nice covered sitting area with small barbecue and plenty space. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area.

A charming accommodation on top of a hill with a lovely view overlooking the city. Sophia welcomed us warmly and we had a comfortable two night stay.

The apartment was clean, modern and spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Several windows gave great views of the gondolas on the canal. Light filled the apartment during tne day but highly effective blackout blinds made sleeping at night a pleasure. We didn't have a car but everything was within walking distance. Walking back and forth to the train station took about 20 minutes each way. The bus stop to catch the public bus to the beach at Costa Nova is just a short walk from the apartment. Both Ely and Fatima were friendly, responsive and helpful. We would love to return some day.

Great location to explore the beach and waterfront

Ana's place is wonderful. Completely renovated, tastefully decorated, with many kitchen utensils, very new, clean and a great location. I just put some sticks on it that would have made the stay of 10, much more comfortable: - we were going with two kids and the stair guards were broken so that was dangerous for the baby and we had to be continually watching - a canopy is missing on the terrace to enjoy it. With the heat and sun it was impossible to go out on the terrace to enjoy the views having breakfast or eating. - does not have a washing machine. On a beach site it seems fundamental to at least being able to wash the towels and some clothes. Thank you, Silvia

Perfect pitstop between bigger cities with a beautiful beach and great food and entertainment. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect accommodation and the owners really involved in the process of making you feel comfortable at home, they were very good and pleasant from the beginning to the end, I would give them more stars but not possible, really describe what you are going to live and the house is wonderful!!!!

This is the second time we visit this paradise! it's so beautiful there, the lake in front of the house, the forest behind the house. So much peace there. If you need some time to relax or enjoy peaceful moments with your family or friends, this is the place for you!

8 of us had an amazing week at Ria Surf House. The pool area was perfect for us adults and kids! Mariana was very helpful and responsive. Fab meals at the snack bar and Casa das Enguias. We didn’t have a car but Mariana put us in touch with a lovely local taxi driver who ensured we could get around when not walking. Also took the train to Porto and Aveiro, great days out. The beach was amazing - a walk through a forest to get there - a wild and remote feel. Many thanks!

Beautiful house, tastefully decorated, spacious and very clean. Very kind owner. Located in rural area, on the edge of Ria Aveiro. Pleasant pedestrian and cycling trail 2 steps away. On the shoreline of the lagoon. The city of Aveiro and the ocean beaches 15 minutes' drive away. Really great house.
