Very quiet. Just what we needed.

The place was gorgeous, we enjoyed the pool and lime tree!! Would stay again. great location to visit my brother.

The view alone is worth the price! Everything was so lush and beautiful! We felt like we were in our very own private resort. We enjoyed the spacious house itself and the outdoor area. The pool was great and the beds were super comfortable! This was a great base to explore the entire Big Island of Hawaii! I would recommend this home to anyone! Just book it already!

This is our 2nd stay with Debra & Mike’s house. It’s a great property with a salt water pool. We were in the pool morning and afternoons. After a long day we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Beds are very comfortable and there is an outdoor lava rock shower. If exploring the volcano and driving to black sand beach, this is a great location. The house tends to warm up during the day but the pool area is nice place to lounge. Very peaceful place to come home to.

Susan was everything you hope to have as a host....lightning fast responses, absolutely top notch help, recommendations and assistance when needed...my parents mistakenly locked themselves out of their unit and Susan went above and beyond to help us...very understanding when we first arrived and the table got knocked and the glass vase in top fell and cracked...I was devastated, but she was gracious about the incident...my neice even forgot her beloved stuffy and Susan offered to send him home, without hesitation...my family can't wait to stay here again...hopefully soon!

We had an unforgettable stay at Sina’s beautiful Japanese-style home! The design of the house was stunning—open, peaceful, and incredibly accommodating for our entire family. The kids were in heaven with the spacious yard, spending hours exploring, playing, and splashing in the pool. The location was perfect—peacefully secluded for privacy and relaxation, yet conveniently close to stores and everything we needed. Sina was a fantastic host: extremely responsive, thoughtful, and supported by a wonderful team that ensured our stay was seamless from start to finish. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the volcano's 25th eruption during our stay—an absolutely breathtaking and once-in-a-lifetime experience! We highly recommend this stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Sina, for sharing your amazing home with us!

We enjoyed the private and peaceful location and it worked out well for our brief stay on that side of the island with a reasonable drive to some areas that were just too far from the west side of the island. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the AC as my husband gets hot and sweaty at night without it. The frogs were loud at night but the fan helped cover the noise so we appreciated it. We didn't get the chance to meet our hosts but had a great stay overall and would happily stay again in the future.

Absolutely perfect! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow—what a gem of a place! This tropical paradise is everything we hoped for and more. The home is spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and feels both comfortable and luxurious. Our group toured the house in amazement of all the little touches that really added to the experience. Breakfasts on the Lanai were relaxing. We truly wished we could have stayed longer! Chase, our host, was outstanding—he’s incredibly responsive and helpful, and his guidebook was a lifesaver. We followed his advice and headed to The Kea’au Deli to pick up lunch before heading to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Everything was so delicious, from the coffees and teas to the sandwiches and salads. For dinner, we tried another recommendation - Kaleo’s, just down the road, and again, the food and atmosphere were amazing. Chase and his family clearly know the area inside and out. Staying here is living in paradise—highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing experience!

Absolutely beautiful place & spotless. It looks exactly like the pictures and had wonderful amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, fans available and AC was a plus along w/ the washer/dryer combo. Raul was very responsive and quick to reply to any questions we had. Stayed two weeks at Suzys little paradise and it was fantastic - from bed to kitchen as described and as expected (we've been there before and it's no secret, we already plan our next stay). Located in a quiet and pleasant residential area (quiet but not lonely), just south of Hilo and on the way to the volcanoes, just perfect for us. Washer and dryer are a huge plus for longer stays. Communication is easy and you get quick answers (if you have any questions at all because the information before arrival covers everything you need, including excursion tips). We love this place and we surely come back even if it's halfway around the world!

Great quiet place with easy access to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. Enjoyed the lanai with a table to dine out. This is a duplex so other side of the house might be rented to other people. It was a perfect place for our family to use as a base to explore the north of the island.

Dusty and Luba thought of everything! They gave us great tips for daily activities and were very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. Beautiful home and neighborhood!!

Great place to stay south of Hilo. Clean, well equipped kitchen, and responsive host. The area is peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our week stay here.

Iliahi gave us instructions and recommendations, also prepared the place well before our arrival. They were friendly and helpful. The place was exactly like what was shown on the site. It is right in front of the ocean. We enjoyed the stunning ocean view right from the balcony. Thanks, Iliahi!

We were so grateful that Merris and Bob opened up their home to us. The tiny home had everything we could ever want! It was cozy and we felt like we were at home. Definitely a highlight to our vacation while in Hawaii. Merris and Bob were very responsive, clear instructions, and great recommendations for what’s in the area. 10/10 rating!

We love “unique stays” and this was so unbelievable peaceful and luxurious and so uniquely beautiful. It was the most perfect place to stay to make the most of Volcanoes National Park. Would absolutely recommend!!

This Airbnb is quite unique and if you're looking for peace and quiet and an unusual setting this is the place. Located literally on a lava field with a view of the ocean and it's amazing. The breeze here is strong and comfortable and we even had a double rainbow. The little cabin itself is quite comfortable and pretty modern with everything you need. The host Morgan is always available and very easy to deal with we had no issues getting in the place. This Airbnb is about 30 minutes south of Hilo and although it's next to the Volcano National Park you cannot access the park from the AIRBNB by car and must drive around heading to your commute time to see the biggest attractions on the island. That being said the Airbnb in itself is a destination and well worth it. I highly recommend this Airbnb and I would definitely stay there again, 👍🙂

Home just as pictured and described. A/C was such a relief with the tropical climate. Everything was very clean and welcoming. The master bedroom restroom had a very cool imitation of volcanic rock for the floor. Only *minor* issue would be the entrance to the driveway is a little on the steep side. we bottomed out our car on 2 occasions but as long as you take a really sharp approach angle when leaving, you'll be perfectly fine; or an suv/truck would have no issues at all. Overall, great stay and worth every dollar!

Our recent stay at the Teahouse Cottage in Volcano was perfect for our staycation. The home was impeccably brand new, with every detail thoughtfully designed. The Asian-inspired theme created a serene atmosphere that we adored. Shannon, our host, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing all the essentials and extras that made our stay enjoyable. The highlight was the back of the house—a romantic oasis featuring a luxurious Japanese furo hot tub, a cozy fire table, and enchanting outdoor lighting. The ambience was incredibly romantic. Highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a special escape in Volcano!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! The house was absolutely wonderful, and just as described! Located close to Hilo, which was very nice. We loved the spacious front porch and yard outside. It was perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. The portable AC unit allowed for a cooler bedroom at night, which was great for us! We’d recommend staying here to any couple looking for a secluded spot on the Big Island!

Nallelie is very responsive and does everything she can to make your stay at her place comfortable. Note that the road out there is a little slower than the GPS seems to predict due to it being bumpy.

The photos don't do this place justice. It's such a beautiful & cozy home. We stayed here twice while on the island and am so glad we did. The beds are comfy, house is spotless, the neighborhood is quiet and convenient to town. Derrick was an awesome and super friendly host. We would definitely stay here again whenever we're back on island! Don't hesitate to stay here.
