Situated four miles off Hwy 11 between Hilo and Volcano National Park, come try off-grid living in a private setting. Fully equipped with solar lighting, propane on-demand hot water and great wireless internet. The 1400’ elevation makes for cool evenings and comfortable sleeping. The shared kitchen and full bath are located just steps away in a separate building. Kitchen has a gas stove and full sized refrigerator. Laundry facilities are located here as well and free to use. Rural location provides privacy and quiet. Volcano National Park is 20 minutes away, Hilo 25. Keau’u is less than 10 miles and offers gas, groceries, post office, urgent care and limited fast food.

This treehouse stay truly is peaceful and beautiful. We unfortunately had a run in with a rat eating our food which was startling and a bummer for Hawaii priced groceries—definitely wished there were enclosed bins for food/dishes as we watched the rat run through the dishes too. We also got eaten alive by mosquitos and wish there would have been forewarning about bringing bug spray. Besides that, this stay was great and we would definitely come stay here again.
