Holiday rentals with lake access in Fenland District

Lauren was a fabulous host, nothing was too much trouble. My request for a birthday cake for one of our party was met with "I can arrange that for you and would you like candles and balloon decorations too." I got the brownie points but Lauren did all the work. The accommodation was beautiful on arrival and it bought on some very happy birthday tears. Spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard throughout, and it comes with a nice little private garden. The site is wonderful and has everything you could need, from a good breakfast to some lovely walks around fishing lakes. My girls had a wonderful long weekend at Laurens accommodation and,although not home yet, are already planning a return trip. Thanks again Lauren... 5*.

Daisy's is located brilliantly, easy to find, walking distance to amenities and Snettisham is a beautiful village. Both the cottage and the village had everything you needed. The cottage was clean, the beds were great, the shower was great and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The welcome goodies were a lovely touch as well. Fallon was hands off, but responded to queries quickly. We were allowed a late check out, which made our weekend even more special. Thank you

We only stayed for two days but we will definitely be back. The accommodation was immaculately clean and had beautiful views down the river. Dave and Sue were great hosts. They were generally really helpful and also on hand to welcome us in. Dave set up a boat with a motor so we could take a little trip down the river. The 1pm check-in was a real bonus. Loved our stay!

WHAT A PLACE! Stunning location and being on the water was amazing. The property was very well equipped and deceptively big. Having a bbq by the water made it really feel like we were on holiday (despite the typical British weather). We know Isleham well and it’s a great location to access lots of things going on and the village pubs have amazing food. We’ll definitely be repeat customers of this place and look forward to doing some more fishing, paddle boarding/kayaking and bbq’s when we come back 🥳

Great location, two minutes walk to Rutland Water. Cottage was very clean and tidy. Charlotte lived close by so was able to give us help if we needed it. She suggested a visit to Stamford which we did. Oakham is close with plenty of places to eat. We had access to her lovely garden and so were able to sit out there.

Dil’s place was perfect for our group. The area is quiet and there is plenty of parking on the driveway. We made great use of the super social sofa setup and the large folding doors between the garden at the dining room. As others have said, upstairs floors are a bit squeaky but not bad. Would stay again!

A cosy bolthole for two with everything one needs for a leisurely break, including the most comfortable bed we have slept in for a long while. Close to Kings Lynn, which has plenty of places to shop for groceries, plus takeaways and a wonderful traditional cinema. There is also a good pub serving food within the village. To be honest, the outdoor space and garden is so lovely that one could just relax there without ever venturing further. Cressida was very helpful and always responded to queries very quickly.

Joe and Fiona were very friendly. The place was warm and cosy and nicely furnished. Super veranda to sit out, with lovely views. Excellent WiFi. We felt very welcome. Thank you for a great visit.

Beautiful flat in lovely, peaceful village location. Easy access to lake and surrounded by lots of interesting places to visit and things to do and see. Cecilie is a friendly and welcoming host and Lottie the dog is just as lovely. Cecilie gave us lots of good local recommendations. We didn't get to try them all so we'll definitely be back!

This apartment is the best rental we have ever stayed in It’s beautiful the photos dont do it justice, spotlessly clean throughout. Easy instructions to find property and get inside. Beds were so comfortable, linens and towels gorgeous. The bathroom is stunning. Fantastic place nestled within a beautiful modern homely community. Everything down to having all the different utensils required to make a good dish is there. The effort going into making this beautiful place so welcoming is great!

It felt like being at home, very spacious and comfortable for two people.

First time visiting Colchester and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay! Home from home and the location was absolutely perfect, literally right next to the castle park and less than a 5 minute walk to the castle and high street. Peaceful and super clean. Reilly was the perfect host. Friendly, responsive and helpful. Kitchen had everything we needed to dine in. Bed was comfy and linen was clean. The bathroom was also spotless! Thank you for having us and we will definitely be returning. 5 star 🌟 stay x

Femi’s flat is very well decorated and also well stocked making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Location is perfect in the town center. Femi is a great host, giving clear instructions in advance and being highly responsive during the stay. I would highly recommend this apartment and would happily stay again.

Lovely self contained cottage in a beautiful setting. Everything you need to stay and we were even able to host family and friends for lunch and dinner during our stay.

This wonderful place is a Haven for North Norfolk! Jason was very informative and quick and helpful with messages and responses. Can't wait to go back in July!

We had a wonderful stay here, felt right at home. Plenty of space for the 6 of us, comfortable sofas and beds, plenty of towels for the hot tub. The surrounding area was beautiful with a short walk to the lake. The hosts came back straight away with my many questions and we are getting a date sorted to book back in next year. One point to make is that there is pub down the road that although google said was open, it isn't at weekends. There is a great little cafe though on the lake that is a 5 minute walk away. Easy to get a food shopping order delivered and a really nice touch of a cake and bottle of wine as we were there celebrating Birthdays. Highly recommend this place. Thanks for having us.

The lodge was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Facilities were brilliant and great outside space. Perfect location and lovely for walking.

Orchard Cottage is set in a stunning & quiet location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The showers & beds were superb and we found it a perfect location for exploring the area.

Really lovely stay. Extremely pristine and private airbnb, perfect for dogs and so peaceful! If your only knowledge of the English countryside is from romantic movies, then this is pretty much 100% as dreamy as you would hope. Angela was always available and responded in an extremely timely manner. We have stayed in many places that claim the pool is heated only to be disappointed. This pool was so warm we could swim in 18c weather on a cloudy day. We loved everything about our stay and the kitchen is very generously stocked with knives, cutting boards, kitchen scissors, etc. We could not recommend this airbnb and the hosts enough! The neighbours are also so kind and warm and even suggested walking routes for us and the dog. Don’t hesitate and book in now!

Sara’s place is honestly a hidden gem. It is the perfect retreat for a peaceful relaxing stay. The accommodation is great, comfortable beds, top notch bathroom facilities and the kitchen is very well stocked. There are basics in the kitchen but I would recommend taking some oil, seasonings as we have to pop out for these when we got there. The garden is perfect for your pup to have a run around and is well enclosed so no escaping. I have saved Sara’s place as planning to head back there with my mum hopefully this year! It felt like a home away from home.

We were looking for beautiful surroundings and peaceful location and we weren't disappointed. We could not ask for more. The cottage was spotless and Charlie was very helpful when needed. I do recommend the place with no hesitation.
