Cottage holiday rentals in Faro District

An exceptional secluded paradise. We stayed there for a week to visit the Algarve and were there as a couple and with our dogseta who was delighted. Silvia provided us with instructions to get to the house properly (not following the gps). The place is very quiet, secluded and is reached by a flattened dirt trail between vineyards. The house is wooden and very big and spacious. It has a large enclosed deck ideal for being read there or playing board games. The house is well finished and secluded and has screens on all windows. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the utensils and some basic ingredients. The garden is wide with a very clean pool, of which Silvia takes care of daily without disturbing. Silvia has made it easy for us any needs and we are very happy about it; we repeat the stay without a doubt.

Beautiful house! Very clean and stylishly decorated! We had an great week and felt very comfortable. The house is located just outside Silves surrounded by nature. We will be happy to come back!

Delightful, quiet location, with fully furnished house. Outside, there is a wonderful swimming pool (approx. 8x4x1.5 meters) in a spacious garden with a beautiful view of the surroundings. As a cherry on top, there is also a super Jacuzzi with delicious relaxation beds.

Michaela’s property is truly outstanding we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful. Pool was heated to perfection(at an extra cost). The whole experience was great, we had an issue with the jacuzzi which we were paying extra for thus was dealt with as soon as we raised it and in a very professional way. Ana the hosts representative was a delightful lady and very responsive. We had simply the best family holiday in a beautiful villa, in a beautiful county. We are already planning our next stay in Michaela’s beautiful home.

Everything was wonderful, the estate is great with its views, orange, everything, the little house had everything and they brought us to a great barbecue, Ana and her mother were wonderful, we really liked it, and the dog of the estate was great, and the dog of the estate was coming to visit us every afternoon, just to thank them for everything, we hope to return soon

Nice place with an insanely beautiful beach nearby. House is nice with lots of places around the house to always sit in the sun or shade. Also nice that the space around the house is shielded with vegetation and a fence ( due to small kids). House felt very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Nice arrival with lights on and a drink in the refrigerator, plenty of towels and nice smell and soap everywhere, etc. Wonderful stay in the hammock and porch porch. but the breathtaking beach so close to the house was really the best.

Claire’s home is cozy and comfortable, with everything you need to make you feel at home. The garden is absolutely amazing, a little corner of paradise. We also enjoyed the little bar and shop that is only 3 minutes walk from the house. The closest beach is only 8 minutes drive, Lagos 25 minuets, etc. We recommend parking the car down the street as it’s not so easy to drive in and out if you don’t have experience with driving on narrow streets that go up and down :p.

Casa May is an idyllic place . The house is set in a beautiful garden which merges into the surrounding bush. Set about a kilometre from the main road , it epitomises peace and quiet.

Had a lovely stay at this beautiful place. I felt right at home, had everything I needed, could easily park my car closeby and it’s easy to explore the surroundings from here.

What an absolute gem! 💎 we didn’t want to stay in a resort and this was perfect, off the beaten track set in the most peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The house itself was ideal for us and our 2 young children - there was a cot, highchair, and loads of playthings both indoor and out 🤩 As a base it was perfect to explore - we could reach everywhere we wanted within about 1.5hrs but most places were much closer (would highly recommend Silves!). Evi was wonderful - super responsive and have loads of recommendations 😄 We would highly recommend and definitely stay again! ✨

Judite's place was very charming and had an amazing view. It was very peaceful and had everthing you needed. We didnt rent a car but used Uber, taxis and the local bus to get to neighbouring towns and even a day trip to the little fishing town Alvor. Judite responded quickly to all our queries before and during our trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Lavender cottage.

Wow! I am sat here back at work wondering why i hadn't stayed for longer than a weekend!? The perfect few days, surrounded by animals, dogs, cats, pigs and horses, stunning views and the loveliest family and new friends! My friend and I booked this stay purposely for the horse riding and we really had the best time, we rode every day we were there and made some solid core memories. The horses are all so well looked after and the riding through the valley is stunning. Thankyou so so much Zoe, Martin and family for welcoming us in to your beautiful home and making us feel so welcome. I am already trying to figure out when i can come back :) Few things to note - I would say you need a car as there isn't anything within walking distance, the property doesn't lock but you are staying within the family's home so everything is super safe. If you dont like animals this isn't the place for you, there is a massive pool, a beautiful view and it really is just the perfect place to recharge.

Very nice and clean apartment with two balconies. The pool is clean and spacious, the loungers and parasols invite you to relax and chill. There is even a toilet. The apartment is just a stone's throw away, so you can always get drinks or snacks from the kitchen and the fridge. The location is very quiet and the combination is ideal for relaxing for families with and without children. The pool and the landlord's property are beautifully green and flowery. Although Benafim is located in the hinterland, for holidaymakers with rental cars, the trips are a pleasant change from the various excursion destinations in the Algarve. For us, who also like to explore Tenerife by car, it is comparably well located. You can experience the hustle and bustle of Albufeira in 30 minutes. All in all, a nice accommodation with good value for money. We are very satisfied and will be happy to come back.

Dear Nuno, We felt so comfortable in your cottage. The decor is tasteful and beautiful . We slept so well, cooked and enjoyed the quiet surroundings. Arrifana is the nearest beach which is beautiful. In Lagos was a great organic market with incredibly great products of the region . The house is SPARKLING CLEAN ! An inspiring wealth of ideas in 🙏❤️Nuno has thought of everything to make guests feel completely comfortable. We would love to return and recommend this property without ifs or buts .

Kirsten and Nick were so lovely and went above and beyond in making us comfortable and welcome. The cottage was huge, clean and secluded. The grounds were amazing with many different trees, flowers and small paths to discover. The pool was beautiful. The Hibiscus Cottage is wonderful if you want to get away from the crowds.

I really enjoyed the house, I hope to come back more often! Quiet place, very enjoyable. Super kind host. I highly recommend it!

Delightful and unique stay in a quiet and beautiful region. For those seeking tranquility and beauty in a non-touristy environment. We have greatly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, quiet place, a little further inland in the Algarve. The house was very neat and equipped with everything you need. The garden and swimming pool were wonderful, with breathtaking views of the countryside and beautiful sunsets. Nearby are charming, not too touristy villages where you can eat wonderfully. We have found the peace we were looking for, and can take beautiful walks in nature nearby. Everything was right, it was perfect.

A beautiful, adventurous route leads you to this charming cottage in the Portuguese mountains, where you will be directly surrounded by tranquility and nature. The cottage itself is cozy, clean and equipped with every comfort, even if you like to cook yourself. There are a number of eco rules that are fine to do. The owner, Benoit, is incredibly friendly. The house runs on a private water source. This requires very conscious water use. Tip for tall people, the shower is quite small. The pool is lovely! There are a lot of big red ants crawling around outside. We thought it was fascinating to see them. They look a little scary but they don't do anything. In the evening it's magically quiet here, and the starry sky is nothing short of spectacular. A great place to relax and unwind. We highly recommend a stay here! Thank you for the good time!

This lovely house is very welcoming and beautiful. We found it just perfect for our family - two parents, two young children and one grand-parent - : the rooms were arranged in a perfect way for us. The house is spacious and amazingly equipped with all you might need. Johannes was very helpful during our stay.

This is a great little cottage not far from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. Bernard and Carol were so friendly and made us feel right at home. They’ve really created an oasis outside. It was great to use the BBQ and relax after a busy day exploring. We just loved our stay and 100% recommended it to anyone that wants a little peace and quiet and serenity.

Hard not to fall in love with this place. Everything one could dream of. It’s a very relaxed environment with two very cool humans, whom which have built a little town of their own if you don’t say! We were lucky enough to have a little tour of the place, hear about how it all started. Went horseback riding with Chris which was incredo. Swam in the pond, sat in the sauna but mostly just enjoyed the view. And hung out with the doggos. Thank you. Will definitely come again when I return to Portugal.
