House holiday rentals in Faial Island

No words can describe our experience at this amazing vila. It was absolutely amazing: the house itself is very well located, the views are stunning. Marcos and Diana were very helpful in everything we needed. Pico island is an amazing place on earth and to get to know the island like we did was only possible with this 5 star accommodation. We chilled, we had swims in the infinity pool, had great barbecues…I will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff and especially to Marcos for all the hospitality and kindness.

He's probably the best host that I ever had the pleasure of working with. He is so nice and sincere. I arrived with a laundry list of travel issue none related to his air bnb or really his concern. He even helped me after I checkee out. Seriously nicest man ever. The place is clean and great parking. It's small but perfect for when exploring the island. Do yourself a favor and book it now.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this Airbnb above Madelena. It was a great choice to stay on the outskirts. Stunning view from the house: lovely to spend time outside with a book or just watching the sun set over the ocean and island. The house itself is very comfortable and had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time with Jörg and Plonja! The reception was warm, the communication super uncomplicated. Everything was exceptionally clean - we have not experienced any other accommodation in the Azores that was so well maintained. The beds are very comfortable, bathrooms and kitchen are great, the outdoor area with pool, sauna and sea view is a dream. Despite the proximity of the hosts, you have full privacy. A really beautiful house located in a great natural area. Absolutely idyllic with a great view of the sea. In and around the house there is everything you need (barbecue area, stone oven, terrace, pool). The amenities with everyday things are very good. The house looked like new when we arrived, everything very neat and clean. Thanks to Bruno for the many tips. And he was always there when you needed him. All in all, absolutely recommended.

We had a wonderful stay in Nico’s house. The view cannot be beat! The house was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5. Nico was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants and activities. He also personally met us at the ferry terminal to help us get settled on Pico as well as showing us where the grocery store and bakery was. House was quiet and all the amenities including some Pico treats to greet us. Highly recommend!

The accommodation is really fantastically beautiful and you felt right at home. 😍 You are right by the sea. However, this accommodation is not recommended without a rental car, as it is just under 25 minutes' drive from Madalena and thus from shopping and restaurants. However, if you love peace and quiet like we do, you've come to the right place. At night, however, there is less peace, as Azorean ducks keep you awake while searching for nests. 😅 All in all, still recommended. 🙃

João’s Airbnb was meticulously clean, well equipped, with lots of extra touches and exceeded all of our expectations. We could not have chosen a better location to end our three week trip to the Azores. We were greeted by João and he was very welcoming, accessible and easy to communicate with. We were centrally located close to Horta, the ferries and all major attractions on Faial, plus being right on an amazing black sand beach and surrounded by beautiful views. Would highly recommend and look forward to a return trip soon. João was truly a super host!

We were very warmly received personally by Isabel. There is everything you need for your stay. Isabel can read every wish from your eyes. Parking on the protected property directly in front of the accommodation. There is a very well-stocked supermarket 2 minutes away by car. The accommodation is located slightly above the city center of Horta and offers a fantastic view. Every point of the island can be reached from there in a maximum of 35 minutes. It was a great place to stay and a great new acquaintance.

Gina was a lovely host. She was extremely communicative and responded quickly to texts. She was also very understanding when a chair was broken, and was more concerned that I didn’t get hurt than that the chair was broken! The goodies left for us were welcome, and it was nice to have the option, in addition, to buy some drinks in the mini fridge. Gina’s place was spotless and easy to find as the photos helped (Google maps has it further down the hill but keep driving up and you can’t miss it!). The bed was comfy, the view amazing, and the kitchen stocked with basic items. The local Continente was very well stocked for food and other items. Easy to pick up everything you need. Thank you Gina! We loved all the little whale items you had in your cottage, especially as we have learned about the importance of the whaling industry in the past to Azores.

The apartment is very cozy and is equipped with everything you need. I am an absolute animal lover, so the daily visit of the dog and cat did not bother me. The rooster started waking us up way too early, but the earplugs helped a lot ;) The owners and Fatima are very friendly people. I felt very comfortable

very well located accommodation close to all points of interest in Horta and in a typical and charming neighborhood. Nice and convenient. Just a downside: lack of maintenance the terrace was not usable. It's a shame, there is no other outdoor space and the view is beautiful.

We loved our time at the Captain Retreat. The view to Pico is impeccable and the cottage has such a good vibe with cosy furniture and everything you need to feel at home. The willow tree in the spacious garden was beautiful! Perfect for everyone looking for a quiet place in nature.

The ninth of us felt very comfortable and enjoyed the great view of the sea and the opposite mountain Pico. The location is quiet, a supermarket is a few minutes' walk. Thank you for the warm welcome and the beautiful time!

The house is amazing! 😍 The view is absolutely stunning – you can relax while looking out over the ocean, and if the clouds clear, you’ll see the majestic Pico volcano right in front of you. It’s a super chill spot, just a 2-minute walk from the beach and close to the town center. Waking up to the sound and sight of the ocean was unforgettable. We loved every moment!”

We recommend the nice house and garden! We enjoyed the remote location a lot. Loved the outdoor shower, air conditioning (the weather was very humid) and the terraces for breakfast and dinner. Plenty of space for 4 people. There is a bike, but you need a car to visit most of the places. There are two walks you can start right from the house (Capelinhos, Capeço Verde).
