Holiday rentals in Facho da Azoia

Great stay, everything as expected, even better. At least for the weekend we’ve stayed, there was also no construction work going on. Loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at this sweet home in Sesimbra, Portugal. The home felt clean, private, safe and comfortable. We loved the layout of the home and especially how the family room opened up to the view of the pool. The backyard is a nice view of farmland as well homes tucked into the hills. The kitchen was nicely equipped with what we needed to make simple meals at home. The backyard is such a relaxing oasis and our kids loved swimming in the pool. Joana and Luis were responsive, kind and helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here. Be sure to visit the town of Sesimbra because it carries its own charm.

Świetne miejsce na wysokim poziomie gdzie odpoczniesz po wrażeniach stolicy. Mieszkanie jest na piętrze w budynku na klifie bezpośrednio nad morzem ,co daje przepiękny widok z balkonu na plażę i ocean z góry a jednocześnie pozwala uniknąć odgłosów plażowiczów i daje dużą prywatność. Piękny widok, dobrze wyposażony aneks kuchenny, wygodne łóżko i hamak na tarasie powodują, że na początku nie mieliśmy ochoty opuszczać apartamentu… W budynku jest winda (w tym samym budynku jest lokalny trybunał) i bezpośrednie zejście na plażę dostępne tylko dla mieszkańców, ale ostatni odcinek trzeba przejść po kilkudziesięciu schodach. W miejscowości są sklepy, małe i większe restauracje i lokalny targ ale mieszkanie jest o kilka minut spaceru (na górce), na uboczu od odgłosów nocnego życia. Nad miasteczkiem góruje pozostałość po dużym zamku, z którego wieży można podziwiać okolice. W pobliżu jest kilka innych ciekawych miejsc ale dla nas to bylo raczej cudowne miejsce do odpoczynku po Lizbonie.

Wir haben 14 Nächte in der Unterkunft verbracht. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Kochen oder Backen braucht. Dass es sogar eine Küchenwaage gab, hat mich sehr beeindruckt. Es ist sehr ruhig hier, man ist umgeben von Natur. Die Außendusche ist toll, wir haben sie jedoch nicht genutzt, um eine Mückenplage im Zimmer zu vermeiden. Das Dorf Aldeia do Meco hat tolle Restaurants sowohl für mittags als auch abends. Aber auch Cafés für ein Frühstück sind mit dem Auto in unter 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Auch zu den Stränden von Meco ist es nicht weit, ein Auto ist jedoch erforderlich, um die Gegend hier zu erkunden. Alternativ lässt es sich auch hervorragend am Pool entspannen. Der eigene Garten bietet ausreichend Privatsphäre. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was great and within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Filipe was available when we had a question. The place’s location was accessible to many attractions, towns we wanted to visit like Cintra, Mafra and Lisbon. A lot of fun!

Bruno foi muito gentil conosco e explicou tudo direitinho. O apartamento era pequeno mas pra nós era perfeito e confortável, com as coisas necessárias. Limpeza impecável, se nota que está feito com carinho para os hóspedes. Deu dicas da cidade e respondeu todas as nossas dúvidas. 100% recomendo pra quem quiser conhecer Sesimbra. Que lugar lindo é de gente amável e carismática. O edifício tem uma piscina com vistas pro mar de tirar o fôlego e pra quem gosta de treinar, tem tb uma academia no edifício (não tem muita coisa mas dá pra fazer algo). A única coisa que eu achei um pouco complicado é voltar que tivemos que dar quando queríamos ir de carro até o porto, se não souber as ruas da uma volta e demora uns 15min até o apartamento. Pra chegar até a praia tem que andar um pouco tb, pra quem não gosta muito de caminhar vai ser cansativo. Eu me acostumei no segundo dia e até que era bom ora poder conher a cidade sem pressas. The place is very cute and the beach and how open and undeveloped the beach was is unlike anywhere else. We did three days of surf lessons from Caeser who is literally 100ft from the house down the beach and there is surfing right out your front door with board and wetsuit rentals.. The town itself is a little bleak and there wasn't much to do and we found if the weather was bad restaurants close very early (like 6pm) so just make sure to find out times if you are planning on eating out for dinner. Our family of four was in love (2 boys ages 7 and 10) but my in laws came too who are in their early 80s. I clearly wasn't thinking bc the walk to the house is through the sand and hard to navigate, my mother in law also couldn't get over the sand dune to go to the beach, and the stairs in the house are more like a ladder. so it's wonderful for able bodies but if you have someone with special needs it may not be suitable. but otherwise if you love surfing, beautiful sunsets book it!
