Cabin holiday rentals in Eyjafjörður

What a spectacular, joyful and relaxing few days here. The accommodations were comfortable and well-outfitted (a yoga mat!!) but the land and views were incredible. We spent a lot of time exploring the property. It was beautiful. Highly recommend.

Kaldbakur’s cottages is a special spot near Husavik. We had bad weather in our trip or else we could have taken more of the amenities but even still our stay was great. Before arriving the host sent us clear instructions about how to get access to the cabin which was contact free. Rolling up to the cottage the view was majestic. Inside we were able to get settled quickly and there were detailed information packets. They go to extraordinary efforts to stay environmental. The beds were quite soft. The blankets were super warm. On our departure day the weather finally cleared up and we were able to see tons of bird families during our short walk around the property. Husavik is also a great spot to stay. We chose it over Mývatn and were glad for it. One word of warning is the rooms are quite compact so if don’t expect to have place to store your luggage open. For us we had the luggage closed up in the common area and made use of the plentiful hooks for our immediate needs.

Die Unterkunft war wirklich toll, als wir ankamen war schon vorgeheizt und es war alles sauber. Man erreicht die Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr gut von da aus,selbst im Winter. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass der Whirlpool nicht funktioniert hat, worauf wir uns sehr gefreut haben aber sowas passiert nun leider manchmal. Alles in allem, ein super Urlaub :)

A very cozy and peaceful cabin in a beautiful surrounding. We were 7 people in total, and we fit very well in the cabin.

kleines Schmuckstück an einem wunderschönen Ort. Leider war das Wetter nicht so toll, deshalb haben wir den Hottube und das Ruderboot nicht genutzt. Das Cottage war sauber und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen. Schönste Unterkunft während unserer Islandreise!

This was a great place to stay, it was in a great location for our adventure in Akureyri. The place was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our trip. The host was great with communication and helpful.Highly recommend!

Lovely cabin in the middle of nowhere. Our cabin was number 3a and looks better than the actual photos. Warm and cozy both rooms bathroom and main room. It has a big window great to see the Northern lights (although we couldn’t see them). The place was clean and had a comfy bed.

Such a beautiful and private location. We thought the cabin was very homely and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay very much! The only suggestion I’d make is to amend the listing to say it has an oven as opposed to a microwave, because we brought food to microwave thinking that’s the option we had. Such a great place though and we would definitely stay again 😊

this cabin is a recent build in a stunning location and nicely staged. the beds were comfortable and the linens all high end. the small kitchenette is suitable for very light meals, i.e. soup and sandwiches. a very lovely cabin in a peaceful setting. .

Great place to stay, quaint and nice. The listing pictures do not do the place justice, it’s much nicer in person!

Clean, looks very new, good beds. Great environment, beautiful valley with great hiking oppurtunities. I really recommend booking the breakfast, we got f.ex. among other things smoked salmon and smoked trout, on freshly baked bread, yummy :)

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse soirée dans ce chaleureux petit chalet propre, bien rangé et bien équipé, dans un environnement calme et avec une belle vue sur les montagnes environnantes! Arrivée simple et pratique avec la boite à clé. En plus, la source d'eau chaude au centre des chalets (partagée) était vraiment très agréable. Quel dommage que nous n'ayons passés là qu'une seule nuit, on aurait aimé en profiter davantage ! Je recommande vivement

The cabin was well equipped with plenty of seats at the large table for meals. Would have liked enough soft furniture seating for more than 3 people but we made it work. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Very cozy cottage! Enjoyed waking up to the Mountain View’s and animals on the property! Bathroom was clean and host provided extra towels and blankets!

sehr schöne kleine Hütte. unten ein Doppelbett und unter dem Dach zwei Einzelbetten. Küche mit dem nötigsten eingerichtet. Zu Fuss ist man schnell beim Hot Pot, der eine tolle Aussicgt bietet und den die Gäste nurtzen dürfen. Die Hütte ist sehr ruhig und privat gelegen. mit dem Auto nur 5 min nach Husavik und zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit.

The home was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Super easy access. Every little detail was thoughtfully prepared, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Beautiful mountain house (like a chalet) with a spectacular view! The weather in Iceland can vary from sunny to snowy in a day and this location got a lot of snow while we were there; make sure you come with a 4x4 car if you don’t want to be stuck when it snows.

Propriétaire très accueillant et à l’écoute, un grand merci pour nous avoir laissé le grand chalet ! Chalet propre et accueillant avec tout l’équipement nécessaire. Le logement se trouve dans un jolie cadre ! Je recommande

Ottima baita in ottima posizione a mezz’ora da Húsavík e a mezz’ora dal lago Mývatn. Pulita e calda, abbiamo trascorso due ottime notti.

Lorenzo hat uns direkt persönlich begrüßt und uns das Cottage gezeigt. Er war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns noch Tipps für die weitere Reise gegeben! Man hat sich direkt wohl gefühlt.
