Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Essex County

Had a great weekend staying at Geoffrey’s home, he was quick and responsive to any and all questions I had. The room was perfect and super clean. There were a lot of places nearby that we were able to get food from within walking distance. Perfectly placed in the center of town and would highly recommend staying here for anyone who have to stay in Montclair.

Bob's Place was perfect for our family of 3. We were very impressed by the cleanliness, aesthetic, and accommodations. We felt right at home and wish we could have stayed longer. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival, the space seemed larger than in the photos. Bob was very attentive and quick to reply to any questions and/or needs. We would definitely stay again!

Really pleased with our stay here. Sue-Ann and Said were very friendly hosts. They answered questions about how to get places and sent detailed instructions for us. They chit chatted and said hi when we ran into them. The bnb itself is really cute and homey on the inside. Nothing super fancy but definitely comfortable. The beds were GREAT and the couches were too (I swear most Airbnbs have horribly uncomfortable couches so they get extra points for this). The area doesn’t have much, BUT multiple things are pretty close drive. I definitely recommend others to stay!

I’ve stayed at Mike’s place few times and he is very consistent. The place is always clean, very comfortable bed and linens, shower pressure is great and the location is wonderful close to everything. I definitely will come back again.

The place was great. It was much bigger than I thought it would be. It is a very large space for a one-bedroom. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Great place! Hosts were super nice. Took was great and bed very comfortable. Their was a ramp going in and out if the house which most places don’t have and I found very helpful. Not far from bus stop which was also convenient. Would stay again if in the area.

The first floor of a two story house, has way more space than a hotel room and way more amenities. The manager we met was super friendly and helpful, and responded promptly. Well equipped kitchen. Furnitures a bit of a FB Marketplace grab bag, but reasonably comfortable. If you’re a woman traveling alone or with your family I’d check out the area on street view so you know what to prepare for. It’s fine, we didn’t have any trouble, but it’s something to look at before you make a decision so you know the areas vibe.

We had a wonderful stay! From start to finish, everything was seamless. Alicia was incredibly responsive and friendly. She lives downstairs, but you’d never know unless you happen to run into her and if you do, she’s a total gem. Talking with her feels like reconnecting with an old friend. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious, and exactly as described. There was plenty of room to relax, and the home was thoughtfully stocked, including toiletries in the bathrooms, which was a great touch. The backyard was a highlight. It was perfect for gathering with family and friends. It’s a great space to unwind and spend quality time outdoors. A fun bonus: Alicia let us try her new Ninja grill, which was awesome! We had so much fun using it that now my family wants one too. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would not hesitate to come back. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

A lovely spot to stay! Booked for a weekend to attend a friend’s wedding nearby and it was a great home base. The unit was set up well for a stay, had clear instructions for utilities, and as a bonus the decor was cool! Would recommend staying here.

We booked last minute after a horrible experience at a different place. William responded immediately even though it was after 8 pm. The apartment was clean, parking on the street was available, safe neighborhood, and just a few blocks walk to the train to NYC. There was a playground across the street for the kids as well. Highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting the city.

Beautiful rental. All rooms were spacious. My family was able to hangout in their own area and the living room was perfect for sitting together to watch movies. The neighborhood was very quiet and I felt safe walking our dog. Off-street was perfect. The house's location is perfect to access all highways. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place looks better than the pictures and spacious for families with kids. Lovely hosts, and would definitely stay again.

The apartment was squeaky clean and everything worked well. It is very pleasing to the eye. The bed is very comfortable. The parking area is fenced and on property with striping and parking spot numbers. It is a basement apartment with little to no noise from above. The shelved walk-closet was a wonderful asset for packing and unpacking. WE HAD A GLITCH OF MY OWN MAKING AT 11 AT NIGHT . Mr. Omeilie responded instantaneously fixing the situation without so much as a whisper of complaint. Apparently, during renovation, he resized the entry steps to modern standards with lower steps and deeper platforms and added a real handrail. A great visit!

We had an amazing stay at this apartment in Newark, NY! The space was incredibly clean, airy, and very comfortable for our whole family. We had plenty of room to spread out and truly felt at home for all 9 days. Communication with the host was excellent—clear, quick, and helpful throughout. Everything went smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Where do I begin with Kings Airbnb? From the time I booked his Airbnb he communicated with me well. Upon arriving to the Airbnb there was lots of parking and easy access to the unit. When you walk into King's Airbnb you are greeted with beautiful Decor in every room. King's Airbnb will definitely be one I will revisit in the near future.

This was excellent for our needs on an overnight layover being so close to the airport. The space was comfy and was a peaceful evening

Great location, and spotlessly clean! The bedrooms get abit of noise from the street. Might bother you if you’re a light sleeper.

Everything was exactly as described. Clean! Flexible with an hour early check in and check out. Easy walk to Penn and restaurants. Not a lot in the kitchen if you need to cook but we didn't. Cups, glasses and coffee pot were all we needed. Front bedroom had street noise but back bedroom totally quiet!

Great place to stay in a very convenient location. Would be very happy to stay there again.

It’s honestly a great place to stay. The only issue is parking. Definitely gotta make time and plan that out . Other then that perfect stay 👌
