Yurt holiday rentals in English Channel

I recently had the pleasure of staying at East Thorne Cottages with my girlfriend, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality by Paul. The cottage itself was beautifully designed, offering an amazing place to stay. It was the ideal getaway for us, surrounded by stunning countryside views that made our stay even more special. We had incredible service provided by Paul. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, offering great local recommendations and always being available to help with any queries. Paul came around every morning to ensure the hot tub was ready for the day ahead. Providing friendly conversation. His friendly personality truly made us feel at home and added a personal touch to our experience. We met both Sue and Naomi who were both so friendly, polite and welcoming. The location is fantastic, allowing us to explore the beautiful surroundings.

The yurt was absolutely beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful, such perfect surroundings. The hot tub was lush and everything felt more rewarding after having to make fires and heat up the stove and hot tub yourself! Pen was communicative, friendly, left us some cider and eggs from her chickens which was a fantastic touch! The bed was comfortable and inside of the yurt had all of the utensils bits you’d need for cooking. It was also very spacious inside and outside of the yurt. Lovely walks nearby and pubs too. Can’t wait to go back again!

What a find! We will definitely be back. They had thought of everything… even a solar powered charger! I thought it was just wonderful. Thank you.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end. week-end reposant ce dont nous avions besoin. mes enfants ont adoré pêcher dans l'étang de Michel. A disposition également, la table de ping pong qui nous a bien plu aussi. le cadre est paisible et agréable. a proximité, possibilité de faire de belles balades. merci à Michel.

Such a lovely glamping site, everything was thought of, from fire pits to hot water bottles and the children loved going with Sara to feed the animals in the morning. Sara gave us great tips on where to visit on our short stay.

Gorgeous setting, right next to a stream and a field of sheep! Personally I found that really comforting. The yurt itself was big, and furnished well. There was another yurt on the site, but far away enough so that we were still secluded. Easy to check in, no problems there, very relaxed and private.

Had a wonderful stay in the newly upgraded yurt and enjoyed the peaceful vibe in general. Lots of useful amenities including fridge, gas and wood burning stove, outdoor fire pit and showers. Well lit at night and not far from village with lots of great pubs. Many thanks!

An absolute gem hidden in the picturesque English countryside. Yurt is so special. Double comfy bed & big warmth giving indoor fire place. All you hear are bird songs. Very calming and romantic surroundings. Sue was friendly and always helpful. Highly recommended!

An amazing place to stay. James was very proactive and made sure we had everything needed. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. The yurt has got everything you need for a break away. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom on the side is clean and the shower is nicely hot (you really do need it when the weather fails you!). The surroundings are to kill for. I was waking up to a sunset with deers running around. Can’t ask for anything else with my morning coffee 😊 Kids and I are already planning another weekend away at the yurt.

Un endroit vraiment génial pour se ressourcer ! Que vous veniez de loin, ou de la région. Un excellent moyen de se reposer de la vie quotidienne.

Séjours agréable d’une nuit et dépaysant. Paisible et relaxant. Très calme avec une vue magnifique. Tout était parfait. Le petit plus : accès au bord de Seine direct qui mène sur un chemin pour promenade agréable le long de la Seine.

We had a lovely stay over East at the yurt, our 3 girls enjoyed roaming the grounds. Emma and Hugh were super accommodating and provided an early check in as we were in town earlier than expected, thank you for a lovely stay!

Rebecca and her family made us feel very welcome. Her husband invited our kids to the fire for marshmallows and playtime with their kids. The location and history were incredible. Plus, who could honestly pass up a night in yurt? It was the most pleasant finish to any night during our entire two weeks holiday. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants quiet away from the city life and one of the most pleasant sleeping experiences you could desire.

C’est un lieu atypique, surprenant, plein de charme . L’immense terrain où sont disposés les yourtes et tipis est boisé et fleuri , c.est un beau travail ,chaque emplacement est suffisamment éloigné des autres pour ne pas être gêné, il y a des transats , des hamacs . C’est un endroit de rêve pour des enfants ou jeunes ados avec du matériel pour ne pas s’ennuyer . Mention spéciale pour la piscine naturelle avec ses jolies carpes ; c’était une vraie surprise et un grand bonheur ! Les hôtes sont charmants et accueillants, c’est un lieu qui donne envie de revenir . Les lieux de vie à partager comme la cuisine ou la salle à manger sont vastes et agréables également.

what an amazing place! Roehaven is such a beautiful Yurt and we felt like we had the whole field and place to ourselves. Sat looking over the meadow field in the evening as the sun went down was lovely. having your very own flushing toilet and shower was amazing for such an off grid experience. this place was everything we would look for. we took our own solar lights and solar panel and battery so we could charge our own phones etc but there were solar lights already there. Francoise and John were amazing hosts. so helpful and responsive to any questions, they are really lovely people, so nice to just stop and chat to them. this is such a beautiful place and so close to everything. 15 mins to Bude and a bit more to our favourite beach, Sandymouth. our children loved exploring round the big field and playing with our dog. it was really lovely to have the log burner to take the chill off when needed. beautiful place we will definitely be back thankyou Francoise and John

We had a great break at the Nest! The Yurt was so well equipped and put together, with lots of little touches and well thought out amenities. The garden area was lovely and perfect for our dog to explore, safe in the knowledge it was fully secure. Camilla was a great host and gave us lots of local recommendations. There’s lots within a short drive so was a great location to explore from. We really hope to be back as 2 nights didn’t feel enough here!

Second time booking with George! This time we booked for my parents as a Christmas present after having a wonderful trip last year with my partner. This time they brought one of their sausage dogs with them and the three of them had the best time. Both parents and their dog had a great time, they said they felt very relaxed and loved the views from outside of the Yurt. Great hosts and a great stay. Will be back again!

On arrival we were met by Sharon who kindly helped us to the Yurt on the golf buggy. The Yurt was beautiful and exactly how it was listed on the booking. The hot tub was fantastic and the shower room was lovely and warm and immaculate. The whole atmosphere was friendly, the owner Mark was fantastic and always happy to help. We ate at a local pub recommended to us which was delightful. Thank you all for your hospitality and the Christmas tree on checking out. We will definitely stay again.

A beautiful setting which was relaxing and peaceful. Rachel was a fantastic host and the yurt was lovely and clean, with a comfortable bed! We loved Rachel’s delicious food. Overall a fantastic place to stay and a great base for exploring the stunning local area.

Absolutely fantastic, the yurts are well thought out extremely clean and beautiful. The scenery is breathtaking and calming. The amenities are brilliant having a 9 year old who can pretty much run referral with all the lovely stuff to do was amazing. Having a pool in the uk is seriously underrated, after a busy day of being out and about it was lovely to come back and relax in the lovely warm pool. Hosts were also extremely welcoming and helpful! I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you very much :)
