Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Emmental District

Me and my friends loved our stay at Judith's and Simon's place. It is such a lovely old style chalet, very well equipped, and so cozy, that we felt right at home. The hosts are also such nice people and welcoming. Staying here definitely made our roadtrip to Switzerland more special. We definitely recommend it.

Wir hatten ein tolles Mehrgenerationen Weekend (2-65 Jahre) erlebt, waren die einzigen Gäste und hatten die großzügige Umgebung, inkl. Aussenküche, für uns und haben diese sehr genossen. Die Kids fanden einige Spielsachen für draussen und waren happy. Im Aussenbereich gibt's sicher ein paar Sachen, die jetzt erneuert oder überholt werden müssten(Stühle und Tische um den Grill, Strandkorb, evtl. Stoff der Jurte und Loungekissen) Merci Kurt:)

Was für ein wunderschöner Ort für eine Auszeit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Aussicht genossen. Die Broschüren für Wanderungen in der Umgebung waren ideal. Keine Maus weit und breit - auch die Hunde haben nichts erschnüffelt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

This was an awesome stay for us! Perfect for a lot of people to hang out and have a good time. While not in a super populated location, it is easily drivable to larger cities and grocery stores were 5 minutes away. I would love to come back someday!

Es waren tolle Tage mit der Familie. Ich finde die Unterkunft sehr teuer. Aber heutzutage ist ja sowieso alles überteuert. Trotzdem, mega tolle Lage! Für Erholung perfekt- Werner ist ein sehr netter Mensch. Hat uns sogar noch einen ganzen Eimer voller Eier geschenkt-danke!

Cilene’s place was spotless, cozy, and in a great spot. She was super friendly and quick to respond. Would stay again!

We stayed at Barbara and Walter's dream house for 3 nights and had the 3 greatest days of our lives. First of all, the house and especially its garden (and view) make you feel like you are living in paradise. Everything (absolutely everything) is available in the house and the decoration of the house is perfectly done. While watching the view inside the house and in front of the stove, you feel like you are in a completely different world with the objects made of wood and ceramics in the house. Barbara and Walter are the best hosts in the world, providing immediate support in everything we needed. They are so kind and caring that they translated the oven at home into our native language. If you want to enjoy the unique view of Switzerland, integrate with the green and be close to the city at the same time, you can choose Barbara and Walter's dream house. We look forward to coming again and thank you very much for everything to them!

A great place for a getaway, Daniela is always helpful and responsive.. Her parents who live one floor below the property are always smiling, very kind and helpful. We arrived very late and they were so flexible with the check-in time, they helped us even in the late night hours with check-in and showing the place. The house is so beautiful, clean and very convenient with everything that you need. The property is surrounded by beautiful green flush meadows, and you have a lot of space to relax outside the property as well. You need a car to reach the property, but the location is correctly marked in Google maps that we had no trouble and the instructions were very clear. Daniela is always responsive for anything that we asked, suggestions for places and any other help needed. Will definitely recommend this place and would like to come again.

Kendimizi evimizde hissettik. Yemek yapmak için mutfakta her türlü ekipman vardı. Ellen ve Dino, sorularımıza ve ufak tefek problemlerimize çözüm odaklı yaklaştılar. Ev sahibi olarak çok cana yakınlardı. Bern'e tekrar gelirsek tercih edeceğimiz tek yer olacağı kesin.

Dear Erna, Albrecht and Sina. Thank you so much for your warm hospitality! The homestay truly felt like a home away from home, cozy, private, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. You were so helpful, not only with carrying my large luggage but also with all the useful information you shared about the interesting place nearby. Actually, I left some precious things at the bnb, but Erna manage to post it to my bnb at Stalden Saas. It really means a lot to us. No words can describe how thankful I am. Your kindness made my stay truly special. Hope we can return it the bnb again one day. Thank you again!

Really enjoyed our stay here! There were a lot of grocery stores nearby and the location was just nice because of the ease of public transport. Would recommend!

Schöne Wohnung zur alleinigen Nutzung im Souterrain. Durch die grossen Fenster im Wohnzimmer und im Schlafzimmer ist es aber keinesfalls dunkel. Man betritt die Wohnung über eine Außentreppe und gelangt in die Küche. Dort ist alles Notwendige zum Kochen vorhanden. Es schliesst sich das Wohnzimmer mit Sofa und Esstisch an. Ein Fernseher ist nicht vorhanden, was mich nicht gestört hat. Dafür gibt es schnelles Internet. Vom Wohnzimmer gelangt man in einen kleinen Flur, von dem das Schlafzimmer und das Badezimmer abgehen. Alles war blitzsauber und Samuel reagierte schnell, wenn es eine Frage gab. Perfekt! Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ev sahibi her zaman iletisim halinde. Kendisine ayrica tesekkur ederim. Mukemmel isvicre seyahatimiz icin aradigim herseyi buldugum kusursuz bir konaklama oldu.

Nice apartment, spacious living area, comfortable bed,nice balcony, kitchen quite small but fully equipped. Very peaceful area but only a few minutes walk to local supermarket, train station and the village pub! Thun is a short drive away or a couple of hours walk on the riverside path. The pub served typical pub meals, they were large and cheap. Annemarie and her daughter were both very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed only for one night but we wished to have stayed longer ! Christine was very friendly, the apartment is cosy, very quiet we can enjoy the view of the fields and the garden from the bedroom. Easy access by car, we could park in front of the apartment and all kitchen tools were available, plus lovely surprises (home made salts with herbs, pasta and few more things). We highly recommend for a quiet stay and to discover this region :)

Our stay at Eveline’s place was absolutely perfect – it had everything we could possibly need and more! The home was incredibly spacious, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with every comfort. From the moment we arrived, Eveline was a wonderful host, and Marion was simply exceptional – so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The setting was magical for our family. Located on a peaceful farm, our children loved visiting the cows and even got to help feed them. A real highlight for our son was being able to take the lovely farm dog for walks – a special experience made possible thanks to Marion’s kindness. This was truly one of the most memorable and heartwarming stays we’ve had. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

What an amazing little spot and an amazing view! Waking up to an incredible view of the mountains everyday makes this place totally worth the stay. The house is very clean and organized with everything you need to cook for your family in the kitchen. Beds are very comfortable and linens are extremely clean and fresh. Located a quick drive from downtown Thun or a 5 mins walk to the train station that takes you right into downtown as well. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you so much for the privilege of staying in your home.

Zeer aangenaam en ruim appartement. Gelegen aan het eind van een onverharde weg. Heel rustig, in de heuvels, met uitzicht op de bergen. De omgeving is landelijk en wandelingen beginnen bij de voordeur. Op een half uur rijden ligt Bern, en met een uur rijden ben je midden in de bergen van het Berner Oberland. De woning is mooi ingericht, en alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Juliane is een vriendelijke host en reageert snel op vragen. Zeker aanbevolen deze woning.

WOW!!! STUNNING!! Everything was simply divine, location placed in an unforgettable scenery and breathtaking views!!! The appartment is even better than on the photos, absolutely clean, fresh aroma in whole appartment. The kitchen was equipped extremely well as well as the other rooms in the appartment. Most importantly the both hosts- Monika and Daniel are so attentive, very kind, always available to give a very knowledgeable advice as well as offering their constant time to help with anything. Definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Thank to you both for making our staying so memorable!!!

Haben uns hier wirklich so gut aufgehoben gefühlt bei Karin! Wenn es Fragen gab wurden diese sofort geklärt und die Kommunikation war stets freundlich. Die Wohnung war wie beschrieben, super ordentlich und sauber! Die Aussicht war wirklich unbeschreiblich. Sehr gerne wieder! 🤗

We really enjoyed our stay at Antoinette's place. The apartment was super clean and equipped with all necessary appliances. It also had a high chair and crib for our 5 month old - very baby friendly. The location is on approx. an hours distance from major cities like Zurich & Basel. Highly recommended :)

Die Unterkunft ist ein Bijoux und man taucht wie in eine vergangene Zeit ein - mit aktuell zeitgemässem Komfort. Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und dekoriert und alles ist top sauber! Ann, die Mutter von Nadia ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, offen, herzlich und unkompliziert. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und schwelge noch etwas in den schönen Erinnerungen… :-)
