Cottage holiday rentals in Ellingham

Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Genuinely amazing little place to stay, in a beautiful part of the world. We were even greeted with a lemon drizzle cake :) 10/10 would recommend!

Fabulous! We had 6 days at the Old Piggery and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts are brilliant and the accommodation equally brilliant too. Peaceful location, well kept gardens, lovely hot tub and there was everything we needed at the accommodation. The hosts also left us some lovely surprises/treats too. Very thoughtful! We enjoyed it so much we didn't want to come home and we will be back again in future. Thank you Sue and Phil!

Stayed here a few times now, for times when were going to events. Each time we visit we love Stanley cottage and the surrounding area a little bit more. It’s a lovely cottage with everything you would need for your stay. Great hosts, we will definitely be here again.

We had a lovely relaxing weekend at this property. The local surroundings are beautiful and the house was clean and very well equipped. The hot tub was a nice addition and communication with our host was excellent from start to finish. I would happily recommend a stay here :)

A perfect holiday cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. Great views from all the windows and a fantastic garden. It is very warm and welcoming, spotlessly clean, and the beds are extremely comfortable. Welcome treats were a thoughtful touch and Angela has been a great host. Exceeded our (already high) expectations -- one of the best Airbnb rentals I've stayed in!

Could not fault The Hemmel at all. Absolutely beautiful. The accommodation, surroundings and view was exceptional. Ezra our labradoodle loved the enclosed garden. From the greeting off Kate, the beautiful homemade cake and flowers left for us, watching the red squirrel and the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and beaches, there was nothing we did not like about our stay. If we decide to come back to this neck of the woods, this would be our first pick. Five stars and beyond.

Great little annex, spacious and clean with great amenities. Was greeted with fresh bread and brownies, butter and eggs. The bread and brownies were delicious. Amazing views and so quiet. Enjoyed seeing the birds feeding off the feeder, especially the woodpecker. Lovely wood burner. A good base for either walks around the area or to see the Roman ruins or for attractions further afield in Northumberland.

Loved our stay. Beautiful cottage. So homely and well equipped.

House very clean and well decorated we saw 3 spiders in house but then we were in the countryside and simply removed them. WiFi password had been erased from rooter but contacted Lois who very quickly sorted that. All in all a beautiful village a beautiful home and a fantastic stay. Would love to go back one day

Just returned home from a lovely stay in the amazing Bartlehill Cottage. Absolutely spotlessly clean and even nicer than the photos. The garden is beautiful and the woodland walk was perfect for our lively terriers! The cottage is so well equipped and lots of thought has been given to supplying pretty much everything you may need. Furnishings and bedding are super quality and very comfortable. Lowri is the most perfect host, helpful and very responsive to messages. It was our first visit to Northumberland and the Scottish Borders and we'll definitely be returning to Bartlehill to do some more exploring!

We had such a lovely break at this beautiful home. The place was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and filled with natural light – it truly felt like a home away from home. Everything we needed (and more!) was provided, which made our stay incredibly comfortable and stress-free. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. As a special touch, we were warmly welcomed with freshly baked bread and scones, which went down an absolute treat – such a thoughtful gesture! We booked as a last minute bank holiday get away, the cottages was cosy and homely and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Andrew was a great host and the cottage guide was very informative. The location was ideal for exploring Northumberland.

Net cottage is well appointed and very comfortable in a secluded and quiet location close to the busy harbour. We were very happy here and had a great holiday exploring the truly wonderful Northumberland coastline. The Black Swan Inn nearby has a first class restaurant and highly recommended.

Very comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location. Great to stay in a cottage with a well stocked kitchen. It felt homely without having too much clutter. It had everything we needed. One suggestion, maybe ask guests to recycle glass rather than putting it in the bin. A list of recycling locations easily found on line could be left with the instructions. Thank you

We had a perfect stay at Findara, it was peaceful, spacious and beautifully decorated. The kids loved it and didn’t want to come home. We loved the open plan kitchen, living area where we could all be together but doing different things. The kids loved playing in the garden. It had everything we needed for our family of 6. Including extra bits all ready for our baby. We cant wait to go back!

What an absolutely stunning cottage in an amazingly peaceful and private location , perfect escape from day to day stresses . Philly and Sylvia were very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The cottage has been very tastefully decorated , is spotlessly clean and there are lots of lovely thoughtful touches like a generous welcome pack , fluffy robes and a top rate bath for relaxing in . We really enjoyed our stay

Windmill cottage is a lovely home from home. Everything that we needed for our stay was provided, including a welcome basket for us and our dog. The cottage is very roomy and our host, Claire, was very friendly and responsive. It’s location is great for accessing all of the Northumberland coastline and we enjoyed wonderful days out exploring the area. We would highly recommend Windmill Cottage and we hope to return. A beautifully appointed cottage in a stunning complex , close to pub and a short drive to coast.

We had a wonderful stay at penguin cottage. Absolutely beautiful location, perfect for those who want more privacy/quiet surroundings. The cottage was cleaned to a very high standard, had all the needed facilities, and we very much appreciated Laura providing milk, shortbread, coffee etc. Would happily stay again.
