Cottage holiday rentals in El Castillo de las Guardas

We picked it up to escape the routine, and we were quite surprised by everything, both the house, and the place it was located (in the middle of the mountain), and the kindness of the hosts. It's a very cozy place and helps to disconnect a lot of things. We don't have any sticks, we'll be back!!

We went to the country house with friends and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The idea that the bedrooms are downstairs and the rest of the rooms in the house are upstairs seemed very good to us for those who wanted to rest. Everything was very clean and the house is as shown in the listing. Alejandro is very friendly and gave us perfect directions to get there and to the parking area, since it's a small town and not all the streets are suitable for parking. Besides, the village is beautiful. We will definitely be back !!!

Marcos welcomed us great, explained and showed us around the house, and offered for any questions/needs that came up. The house is great to take advantage of a few days with friends, both in the summer (with the pool and barbecue with lots of shade), and in winter (living room with fireplace and porch in the sun). And the beautiful environment, right next to the Huéznar and with the center of the village with everything you need a walk or 5 min drive. We will be back for sure!

We stayed with friends at Cristina's for 3 nights, and we had a delicious stay. The pool, the view, the jacuzzi, the basketball court and the villa as a whole far exceeded our expectations, it was even better than in the photos. Everything is there to make you feel at home, to the point of not wanting to leave the villa. There is not much to add, except that we recommend this place with our eyes closed: a real gem! Cristina is a very attentive and responsive host. Thank you for letting us stay in this place. 🍀

Lovely house in a friendly village with bars, small supermarkets and pharmacy. Lovely walks around the area. Garden area perfect to relax. Ana responsive and friendly. Easy parking.

Sabine and Juan are the perfect hosts; friendly, responsive, and personal. Their place is a hidden gem with unobstructed views of the nearby town and beautiful surrounding landscape. The large pool and family-friendly facilities ensures everyone’s entertained during their stay. I can’t recommend this place enough

The house was exactly as described. Perfectly equipped and tastefully decorated. The site is unbeatable for those looking for tranquility. That needs to be clear. As indicated in the listing, the house is located in a small cottage where there are no shops or bars and there is very little internet coverage (at least with my company, orange). Both the house and the surroundings are beautiful and there is the possibility of making very pleasant trails (although unfortunately on this occasion everything was very dry). With Dolores and Enrique we had quick and efficient communication and they were very kind and they were very kind. We'll definitely be back.

An Unforgettable Stay in Monesterio, Extremadura We stayed in a house with a lot of charm in the heart of Monesterio. The house was perfectly equipped and tastefully decorated, and it had a beautiful terrace where we could relax and enjoy some incredible moments in the pool. The attention of José Luis, who welcomed us and handed us the keys, was exceptional. He made us feel at home from the first moment, showing us everything we needed to know about the house and the area. An incredible weekend with friends, surrounded by nature and good food.

Beautiful, large, stay great internet and much to do. Equipo Alohamundi's service goes very far. I had forgotten part of a medical device and they really went out of their way to arrange the part. Totally top!

What can I say… a little piece of heaven! It was so gorgeous and just what we wanted! The area was beautiful! Met the donkey and horse every day.. collected eggs, squeezed oranges picked from the grove in the garden. House was very well equipped and we loved the outdoor kitchen! Lovely pool which was welcomed as it was 38 degrees! Botolome was so pleasant and helpful! Couldn’t do enough for us.. including booking a taxi back to the airport. A perfect stay! A little haven in the middle of nature This is a great country escape. The inside is well equipped, all the kitchen equipment, cooking utensils and amenities you need. (Note there is no WiFi.) There is a wonderful fireplace for some warmth in the evenings. Beds and showers are comfortable and quiet. The surroundings are fabulous for hiking and peace and quiet. You walk out of the gates straight into a little trail full of trees and birds. Communication with the hosts was easy. Would recommend!

The house is much nicer than the pictures. It is large and comfortable, José Manuel, its owner, is very careful, and the deal with him has been fantastic, he has always responded very quickly, willing to help and has given us many facilities. We loved it so much that we are looking forward to repeating.

Both Maria and Jesus have treated us very well in every aspect, very hard-working and always ready to answer any doubt at any time, they have given us directions to the various trails, all very nice. The place is paradise in an incomparable setting. Our dog has enjoyed the big, all fenced and safe. Impeccable cleaning, comfortable beds, towels and very clean and nice linen. I think we'll do it again.

A magnificent house to spend a few days with family and children. The house has everything you need and is very cozy. Inma is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is that there is no coverage there, but otherwise everything is fine. I'm sure we'll be back.

Beautiful large house, typical Spanish, well equipped. Peace and quiet and disconnection guaranteed. Beautiful 180° landscape facing nature. Check-in and checkout managed by Pépé, an ultra helpful and friendly man, very endearing and available if needed. We had a great time.

Great stay, María Luisa made it very easy for us both to arrive and in the time we were there. Hinojales is a wonderful town, with a lot of fun parties. 100% recommended

Daniel and host Maria welcome you very warmly in their spacious house. We had a great time with 5, one of which is a baby! Everything is available, in the village there are plenty of amenities and restaurants..You are a 25-minute drive from the fantastic city of Seville and other nice day trips. Totally top! Oh yes, the pool is lovely and clean. Pnze daughters had a perfect time.

We spent a few days at Rafael's house and it was magical. The house is beautiful, cared for with the utmost detail and clean. The house is in the center and has its own garage, which makes the experience even better. The house's exteriors are like a fairy tale, the terrace, the lights, the lawn... beautiful! Rafael was very attentive to us. Thank you Rafael! If we return to Seville, we will definitely stay in this beautiful house.

fantastic place to disconnect surrounded by nature, nice views of a green valley with some horses in the background, the owner is very friendly and attentive at all times, we arrived late because we caught the trip and it was due that we arrived well, a clean place that you can breathe a lot of tranquility, I would recommend it for a group of friends with family since there are three homes, a pity that did not give us time to do some of the routes that the owner sent us, they had a good look

We had a super stay with César. He was very hospitable and has a super guest house on his beautiful grounds. There are several relaxation areas with sun loungers, both in the sun and in the shade. The swimming pool can be used entirely as a guest without restrictions. And the dogs are sweet without being intrusive. We would absolutely recommend this accommodation to everyone as a base to go to Seville, and other beautiful places in the region. A (rental) car is highly recommended. All in all a super stay in a relaxed environment with a pleasant host, recommended!

The house served all we needed to spend a great weekend between friends with an full equipped house. Close to places we wanted to visit but still we could spend time at home doing our own activities without bng worried of disturbing neighbors. The perfect villa for our girls weekend! The host was very friendly and helpful throughout. The garden area, pool, terrace is all beautiful and the living areas are so spacious. We also loved the rustic traditional decor. The location is very peaceful with mountain views but keep in mind that you definitely need a car to get to nearby shops as there’s nothing within walking distance. Thanks for an amazing stay!
