Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Eastern states of Australia

The house and surrounding property was better than we imagined. It was one of the most beautiful houses we have stayed in, and the view from the living area was breathtaking. We didn’t go anywhere all weekend because the house was so relaxing and comfortable and all we wanted to do was look out the windows at the ocean. Thank you Richard for letting us enjoy your property.

We had an amazing weekend getaway at this pretty house! The property was peaceful, clean, and just as described, with breathtaking views of the river. We spent our time fishing, kayaking, and even got to drive the boat provided, which was such a unique and unforgettable experience. It really made the trip feel special and adventurous. The host was responsive and made everything from check-in to check-out super easy. A perfect spot to relax, explore, and enjoy nature—highly recommended!

Gorgeous sea cottage overlooking the cliff. So well designed and decorated with curated eyes in both art collection and furnishings. Private and quiet even though there’s a house directly behind sea cottage. Perfect for a writer and artist as I got so much done with the sea as inspiration. Cockatoos came and visited me everyday. 1st day just by himself, day 2 he brought his partner, on day 3 he invited 8 more of his friends so the 9 of them welcome me with fanfare!

we had a lovely weekend at SaltHouse. our little pooch enjoyed the fully enclosed yard, and the gas fire place worked a treat on the cold nights.

Christine’s property is so beautifully maintained and relaxing… The property is well appointed with two bathrooms. The main bedroom has a beautiful two person spa bath overlooking the leafy green backyard. So close to Montville, bush walks, wineries and restaurants. This is my second visit… And it is definitely on my list for future weekend breaks . Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

We have just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay. The property is quiet, very cosy, well equipped, nicely furnished and very clean. The owners have clearly put a lot of effort in ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The setting right on the lakeside with fire pit is beautiful with an excellent view of water, bushland and wildlife. We highly recommend this property. Thank you!

Had an absolutely incredible stay here! After a massive few years of study, this place was the perfect spot for a relaxing and restful week away. Lots of lovely personal and thoughtful touches which made this easily the best airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Such a peaceful and private space, would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Lovely getaway! We really enjoyed our relaxing mid week stay - lots of walking, sitting by the fire, and the home was comfy and spotless. Definitely would agree that you should pack your cheese platters and most meals for ease. Would love to come back again soon!

We loved our stay with Melinda at Creekside. The place is cosy and inviting. It is tucked away on the creek - as the name suggests - which provides privacy and is peacefully quiet, yet it is still very close to cafes, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Melinda is a friendly host with great communication. I'd highly recommend anyone to come and stay if you are ever visiting Mansfield. Top notch.

I loved everything about my stay. Beautiful and comfortable home with lots of character. Felt like I was at home. The area is one of my favourites and didn’t disappoint. I would definitely love to stay again.

One of the Best Airbnbs I’ve Stayed In This place stands out as one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever had. The space is generous and beautifully arranged, offering a calm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Everything was perfectly prepared to ensure a smooth and comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and tool you could possibly need, far beyond the usual basics. There were even thoughtful extras, like umbrellas and a welcome gift, which added a personal touch that made a real difference. We felt completely at ease throughout our time there. Every detail had been considered, which made the whole experience effortless and enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a well-equipped, beautifully maintained home away from home.

Catherine was very helpful and easy to communicate with throughout the booking, check in and check out process. The place was amazing and in such a great location in St Kilda. The added touch of putting the fire on for us on arrival, on a cold evening, was very thoughtful. We had a great time in St Kilda and Melbourne, using Catherine's place as a hub made it all the more special. I cannot forget to mention the great recommendations for cafes, bars and restaurants locally that are now on our 'must go back to' list.

Well appointed apartment with large rooms. The greatest asset was its proximity to the beach. It was lovely walking along the foreshore. Wendy was very accommodating for our family and made our stay in Adelaide memorable.

The two-bedroom unit was beautifully presented, exceptionally clean and generously appointed with breakfast products. We were fortunate to stay 12 days. The views are spectacular as you look across valleys that ultimately lead to the Mary Valley and the Mary River, a significant river in South-east Queensland. The entire property is beautifully presented - the driveways are wide, and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The gardens have some lovely roses, including a Montville Rose. A real bonus is seeing the cattle ruminating in a paddock just below you. We were fortunate to witness a newborn calf taking its first steps in life.

Emily has created a beautiful haven at Howards end. It felt so inviting to walk into and the impeccable styling throughout was a visual treat. The bed was super comfortable and furnishings divine. I can't wait to book my next stay. Thank you Emily. 🤍

I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again in future or recommend to others - easily one of the best air bnbs we have stayed at ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The home is beautifully appointed, kitchen well equipped with all amenities you could ask for to self cater, the balconies (yes, plural!) were gorgeous to enjoy a coffee in the morning sun. The bedroom and adjoining ensuite were spotless, spacious and the deep spa is a real bonus! We loved exploring the multiple local cafes in close walking distance while being only a short drive away to Bondi and Bronte beaches. Greg is a responsive and helpful host, who made us feel very welcome and assisted us greatly in making our stay memorable.

We had a great stay at George's place. Great view of the breaking waves from the deck, a warm house, comfy bed, well-equipped and stocked kitchen. Communication was easy. All as good as could be!

Fantastic stay away. Warm, cosy, rained the whole weekend but didn’t matter as we were able to spend the weekend adventuring local towns and watching the rain come over the mountains through the ceiling high glass windows. Fireplace was perfect, we were able to have our boarder collie with us (who also enjoyed sleeping by the indoor fireplace) Wayne and Jodie and made a beautiful handmade breakfast basket for us for the first morning with fresh baked bread, delicious passion fruit butter and more. The perfect weekend to de-stress.

What a fantastic farm oasis Ruth has here. My partner and I escaped for the weekend out of our inner city apartment and loved every bit of it. Cottage vibes, warm fireplace, surreal rolling hill views. Very accommodating weekend, thanks again Ruth.

Absolutely amazing, was only 5 minutes from Apollo Bay, and a tonne of great restaurants, the accommodation was very clean, very secluded, there was a bottle of champage and chocolates upon arrival. The spa with the view absolutely incredible! Everything was thought of. Comfortable bed and loved the gas fireplace so didn't have to cart wood in! I would absolutely recommend this experience and we will be back. Thank you for an amazing stay :)

Among the Vines is a beautiful country home in a spectacular setting. Exactly what we wanted for our Hunter Valley retreat. Surrounded by vines and kangaroos, the house is well provisioned with a great kitchen, comfortable beds and cosy lounge with fireplace. Beautiful views from all the rooms, with just the right mix of style and comfort. The location is perfect, just minutes in all directions to the fabulous wineries and restaurants in Pokolbin. Matt is extremely responsive, with clear and helpful instructions, one of the best hosts I have experienced. And his manager Jaeden made sure the home was presented with impeccable attention to detail. We will definitely stay again! Thanks Matt, you clearly have a passion to help your guests have a wonderful experience in the Hunter Valley! Cheers

We booked this beautiful retreat to celebrate Zoe’s birthday and it completely exceeded our expectations. The photos honestly don’t capture how stunning and serene it is in real life. From the moment we arrived, it felt like our own private sanctuary. We spent our days by the pool and our nights by the fire , both indoors and out and loved every second. The space is beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and surrounded by nature. It was the perfect mix of luxury and seclusion. Truly a magical place. We’ll definitely be back!
