Depending on traffic, we are 47 mile drive to Yosemite National Park along the scenic Merced River. Mariposa is a quaint little Gold Rush Town about 20 minutes away. The main part of town is literally 2 blocks long. There is no stoplight in the whole county. Mariposa was the 'Mother of all Counties' once extending all the way to Los Angeles.

Bob & Mary’s bed & breakfast is an absolute dream. Each room is situated off a courtyard and has its own entrance. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bed super comfy. The grounds are exquisite and the pool was an especially delightful treat...we sipped wine and watched the sunset from it. Bob & Mary are consummate hosts and we really enjoyed talking to them. So much love and attention has been put into this place and it really shows. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in a retreat like setting this is it!

Don is a great host and a great cook. He does a mean steak. We enjoyed his location and made use of his knowledge of the local trails to do some walking that was not too challenging but got to see some amazing sights. Definitely worth doing again.

Sunny was so warm and welcoming and so were her pets! She was very communicative and just a phone call away. This was the perfect respite I needed from life in the Bay Area. This location is quite remote and in the country but close enough to a very cute downtown with lots of shops and friendly people.

Sal was very flexible with me. I had a horrible experience at another place and had to leave suddenly and make other arrangements over New Year's. He was very patient with all my indecisiveness and really made things easy for me. The place is adorable. The room was a lot nicer than I expected! And they leave treats, granola bars, pastries which was a fun bonus! It was warm. I would totally stay again not only out of desperation!
