I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

Our host John provides a beautifully decorated home in a quiet, central neighborhood. The setup is exceptional, with both a heated pool and hot tub, and the experience felt like staying in a boutique hotel. He thoughtfully includes amenities like toothbrushes, makeup remover wipes, cotton pads, and more — the attention to detail really impressed us. We absolutely loved our time in La Jolla, and John’s local tips were spot-on. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend booking with him.

Exactly as the other reviewers have described, it is just a beautiful oasis in a perfect quiet neighborhood. Don’t wait, book now!

Our stay here was incredible!! Craig and Julie were wonderful hosts, very thoughtful and had great communication before and during our trip. The view was absolutely breathtaking! We felt right at home and hope to make it back here someday!

Wonderful host any questions we had she responded quickly and very helpful. The place was amazing plenty of room for the whole family. Comfortable beds and amazing kitchen well stocked and equipped with all the essentials to make meals. The pool/ hot tube was perfect and the game room was a huge hit with the kiddos and adults. we enjoyed the gas fireplace outside as well as the grill. Totally recommend, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We have stayed in many different types of homes both good and bad. But, I’ve gotta say “This one has been BY FAR, THE BEST”!! The view as well as the house is absolutely amazing. The design of the home is gorgeous. The house was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. I must mention the squatty potties and bidet’s in the bathrooms… SUPERB!! Before booking my reservation, I asked Van if I could have my family and friends (about 10 people) come over after a graduation ceremony and he said yes. He even accommodated us with extra tables and chairs. My friends and family all loved the place. Van always replied to my messages no matter the time of day or night. There was a hiccup with the fire alarms in the house which was completely out of Van’s control, but he handled it well. He personally appeared to resolve the issue. Meeting Van in person did not disappoint. He is as nice in person as he is in messages. We are definitely going to come back.

Jessica’s home is beautiful and located in a lovely neighborhood that is close proximity to many things. We came to celebrate the graduation of my niece and Jessica’s home was a great place for the family to connect, rest between events and spend time together! Her home is beautifully appointed and was perfect for our stay. Jessica is a great host who communicates with her guests and is very responsive! Her home is filled with good energy and I would definitely book again! for future family events when visiting San Diego!

Wow this place is amazing! As soon was we walked in, from the decor to the ambiance. You go from Spring Valley to being transported to a place of paradise. There is no place like this, I’m telling you guys. If you think the front yard is beautiful, wait till you go to the backyard. We felt so at home and the vibes are just incredible. Did I mention it was dog friendly?! We bring our dog everywhere and this was perfect. Salvacion is a super host for a reason. She’s responsive, very easy to communicate with, and her home is beautiful. I have family in the area, we’ll definitely be coming back and staying here. So glad we found this place!

This place was an absolute gem! Beautiful scenery, incredibly beautiful house and immaculately cleaned. We instantly felt at home, and enjoyed walking around the area. We have stayed in numerous areas outside of SD and this was our favorite so far.

Alyssa was a great host! Very responsive and helpful. The location was private and had a great view. The living space was an amazing indoor/outdoor combo and the sliding doors really opened up the living space. Everything was amazing beyond our expectations and would recommend staying here.

We had such a lovely stay. My daughter in law especially liked the little hut to meditate in. The pool was wonderful, plenty of seats outside and the lounge chairs were very comfortable. Plenty of towels. The grill worked great. The beds were also comfortable as well as the couch. You felt so far away from everything in your mountain hideaway but you are so close to town and all that San Diego has to offer. Michael & Haley checked in frequently just to make sure we were all set too, which was especially nice, since I often feel funny about bothering my hosts. We would definitely stay there again. Great place. Private and quiet. Perfect when traveling with older kids, got the upstairs apartment all to themselves. Small but extremely comfortable, has everything you need. The property is beautiful and well taken care of. The basketball goal was perfect for the family. Pool was clean. I 💯 would stay here again. Owner had great communication.

beautiful newly renovated interior. a nice apacious outside area with robust mature cacti and drought tolerant plants. cool space. We were a 20 minute drive to downtown and beaches, 40 minutes to Julian area. nearby highways made it easy to get around SD. good find good price great correspondence from Thanh. thanks!

Once again, we had a truly terrific time staying at Shannon & Gabe's place. Cannot recommend this place enough. The house is absolutely spotless. The beds are SO comfortable. The amenities are top notch. Easy communication with hosts and quick response time. I'm already looking forward to the next time my family gets to stay here. The sunflowers in bloom outside the kitchen window were the cherry on top. This place is not-to-be-missed!

This is a beautiful home, and the views are amazing. It’s super relaxing. I felt right at home, especially in the primary bedroom. I wanted that bed for my own home. The hot tub was so relaxing—everything I needed every night. Gwen and Kear were terrific hosts and communicated quickly with any questions. I enjoyed my time there with family and friends, singing karaoke, playing pool, enjoying the beautiful backyard with barbecuing, and making yummy meals to enjoy with my loved ones. We all had an unforgettable, memorable time. I would highly recommend this place. It’s a bit far from some things, but we did go to the casino right down the street playing lots of bingo fun times. If you want to relax, enjoy, and spend time at the house, this is the place to be. I highly recommend it.

We have stayed in a lot of home rentals over the years and feel this is the best we have stayed in. Arturo was responsive and easy to contact, helping us change guest size with no issues. The house was great, it was like walking into my own home with everything I could think of needing along with being clean and well maintained. It is close enough to everything in San Diego and has plenty of things to do in the neighborhood. Felt safe and comfortable and all the neighbors were friendly. We have family in the city and all agreed we would stay here again the next visit and will recommend to everyone coming to town.

We were in San Diego for medical appointments for my wife, and this was a peaceful oasis. Very clean and quiet. Great value for the price.
