Holiday rentals with beach access in East Ayrshire Council

We absolutely loved our stay. Everything was beautiful and perfect. You cannot beat the sunset views of Arran. We have family in the area and Arthur’s place will be where we want to stay every time we come to visit the area. Side note, the pub/restaurant was really good!!

What a great place to stay; the view is stunning, so relaxing. I requested to stay longer but someone else beat me to it unfortunately; I should imagine this property is very popular. Richard was a fantastic host and couldn't do more to be helpful. Many thanks.

The flat is immaculately clean and tidy. No unnecessary clutter. Fresh fruit, flower, milk and prosecco were great touches. Access and parking is easy. The area is a regenerated dick area - hence 4 stars for location but views acrois the river Ayr and watching the tides are great. It is quiet and undisturbed and you can walk to some restaurants nearby. i would have booked again but there was no availability sadly!

This was my second stay. The location is very convenient, with the airport, subway station, and bus stops all nearby. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. I would love to stay here again in the future.

My stay at Scott’s place was a delight and comfortable would recommend this location the highest praise possible.

Overall I had a good month stay here. Some notes: +Tesco close by +Right next to bus lines and train station +Ayr is about 15-20 minutes away Note that the owner doesn’t live here and there rooms in total are rented. I had 5 guest come in and out when I was there. Great location for trips out in Ayrshire, grocery is close, but Ayr isn’t the most exciting place in the world! Worth the stay.

Linda is a wonderful host and has a lovely home. I immediately felt right at home. It is super close to the pubs, restaurants and shops in town.

The church cottage is fairly close to the Ayr train station (10 min walk) so Glasgow is easily within reach. The very nearby Fox & Willow restaurant is excellent, as is “The Bistro” downtown. The Stagecoach bus service downtown can take you to many great places (e.g. Culzean Castle) in the area. The cottage area is very quiet.

Lovely home, just as described, perfect for what we needed, very comfortable, great location, easily accessible, central for our travels.

Luce’s lovely home is located close to downtown Ayr and has a lovely garden. Nice and spacious and we had a very pleasant stay.

We booked a short break to relax. The location was great for us, as we knew all the places we wanted to visit. Prestwick has some lovely eateries, the clubhouse is very convenient, and everyone was friendly. The grounds are immaculate, and a very easy walk gets you on the beach. We will see you again.

Lovely home – very grand with high ceilings, spacious rooms, etc. only 100 meters or so down to the beach and easy access to shops plus lots of parking on the property. We had a really lovely stay with three couples from Australia. Couldn’t recommend this highly enough as a great venue for a group stay. Just found it a little hard to get in touch with the host the day before check-in but all ended up fine.

Anchor's Rest was absolutely perfect for our brief stopover on our tour of Scotland. So spacious and well-equipped, we felt right at home the moment we walked through the door. We had 2 great nights' sleep, a delicious meal at the Chestnuts Hotel, a good walk up to Alloway to see Robert Burns' birthplace, a lovely run along the beach, a spot of shopping, a bit of a natter with some local folk in the Tam o'Shanter and the Smugglers pubs, and cooked some tasty locally bought pies and vegetables 'at home'. Thanks to Neil for being so helpful and friendly, a truly great stay.

Lovely house, great in every way! It would be better if the bathing equipment were improved!

We were met by Tracy, who took time to explain all the features of the flat, which was excellent. It was very well stocked with just about everything we could think of, and the seating was very comfortable. Our stay was as good as we could wish, and the help with our luggage was much appreciated (we are in our 70's)
