Kid-friendly holiday rentals in East Africa

We had a wonderful time at Shangri La! Our host Francine was great, she communicated very well and the house was fantastic. We wished we could have stayed longer and we plan to be back soon!

We had my father's 70th birthday weekend at Lea's listing. Lea was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The space was GORGEOUS! We had elephant literally on the stoep. The house itself has everything you could need, I took baking kitchen items with me, thinking there wouldn't be any, only to be completely surprised to find the house had everything we needed. The chalets are private and we never felt like we had to "look the other way". I would recommend this stay to anyone going away as a group.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Airbnb! The space is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The garden and pool area are perfect for unwinding. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to cook at home. Check-in was flexible and hassle-free, and the host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We would absolutely love to come back :-)

Excellent place. the house is amazing it's well designed. fantastic views of the mountain from master bedroom, living room and dining room. friendly staff always available and helpful. I would recommend this place and would definitely visit again..

Das Haus ist so wie auf Airbnb beschrieben und sehr gut ausgestattet. Pete ist jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit und auch der Service im Haus war sehr gut. Der Strand könnte etwas sauberer sein. Ich kann das Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Danke an Pete

Thanks to Hazel, our stay in the Seychelles was wonderful. Hazel is very welcoming, kind, and always ready to help! We really liked the accommodation – everything was comfortable, beautifully designed, clean, and had everything we needed. The grill was a great bonus – we used it to cook fresh local fish. Within walking distance from the house, there’s a beach, supermarket, fruit shop, fish shop, restaurant, bank, pharmacy, and several takeaways. A special thank you to Hazel for the lovely surprise at the end of our stay – it was so unexpected and truly appreciated! We sincerely recommend this place and hope to stay here again in the future!

Deborah’s place is perfect for a getaway. The peaceful atmosphere and amazing views are great for relaxing. Don’t forget to carry your binoculars, for birdwatchers.

Sehr schöne Penthouse Wohnung. Modern und schön eingerichtet, viel Platz. Wir waren 4 Personen, und wir hörten einander nicht (Lärm, Duschen WC etc.), es ist innen gut isoliert / abgetrennt. Küche super eingerichtet, schöne Dachterasse mit gutem Gasgrill. Grosse Poolanlage im Innenhof der Residenz. Amit hat uns sehr freundlich unterstützt und Ratschläge gegeben. Die Lage ist gut, mit dem Auto sind die umliegenden Ziele / Strände gut erreichbar.

A beautiful oasis, I especially loved my mornings drinking coffee while overlooking the pristine garden. The apartment is beautifully decorated. I loved the charm of the building. Super comfy bed.

Lovely quite place to escape the busy city but still close enough that you have everything you need.

We had a lovely stay in the apartment. The views are amazing and the pool was lovely. Robbie was very helpful, as were the staff in the compound, and the dogs were very friendly. Just a couple of things to note are that access to the property is via a very steep hill, so you need to be fit if you don’t have your own car as most Uber drivers preferred to drop us at the top of the hill and we then walked down to the property, and we would also meet drivers at the top. Also, the veranda was lovely but had a steep drop down to concrete below, so we needed to be vigilant with our child at all times. We had a lovely stay regardless, just important things to be aware of :)

It was a lovely, spacious and decorative flat. My friends and I had all the facilities we needed including a washing machine and ac. There were nice restaurants and cafes walking distance. We would definitely recommend this bnb to others.

Another absolutely amazing stay! This isn’t my first time staying at one of this host’s properties, and just like before, everything exceeded my expectations. The home was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed yet peaceful and relaxing. Andrew is consistently outstanding: clear instructions, great communication, and thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. Every detail was taken care of, which made my stay seamless and stress-free. I always know I’m in good hands when I book with his properties., and I’ll definitely be back again. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful place to stay in Nairobi. The walk-in showers were excellent and the beds very comfortable. It was very easy to get around town using Ubers. It was also very close to YaYa Center, which had excellent cafes and an assortment of groceries. Our hosts were excellent to work with. We definitely recommend staying at their place. We will stay here again next time we’re in Nairobi. Their place is on the 14th floor of a new condo and has a great deck for viewing the sunsets.

Absolutely STUNNING villas. I would stay here over and over again - highly recommend selecting this spot on your stay. They also offer the option for dinner and the sunsets on the patio are some of the best I've seen. Only downside here is that I worked remotely for the 4 days that I was there... the WiFi worked well overall, but it would cut out on video calls (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.). Without my eSIM + being able to hotspot from my phone, this would have been a MAJOR problem for me. Other than that, if you are solely on holiday and not needing that, this spot is the winner!

I loved the place! It was much more beautiful than the pictures could capture. There are only two downsides: Having no kitchen kind of defeats the purpose of booking an Airbnb, and secondly, all of the outlets in the house are wired for Italian electronics. You must have adapters, or you will not be able to plug anything in. Kenyan/UK plugs will not work. American plugs will not work. European plugs almost work, but they are loose and fall out. You will need Italian power adapters.

Excellent location. A bit of confusion during check in as the apartment wasn't ready, but the maid and the front desk ladies were super kind. We just waited an hour and were able to enjoy the beautiful apartment. This stuff happens.

The villa is absolutely beautiful. Artistic fixtures everywhere that gave the feel of walking through an art gallery. Swimming pool, gym & jacuzzi all included in your stay. You couldn’t really ask for more. Florian was an amazing host, clear & timely communication, suggestions on what we could do every day (even BEFORE check in) on different parts of the island. He was persistent is ensuring we had a great experience. We have stayed at SO many different airbnbs all over the world & honestly I would say Florian is the best host we have encountered. I’m not just saying this, we don’t owe him anything this is just a true reflection of our experience. We stayed in a hotel before we stayed here & wished that we had found this place & stayed here the whole time. It turned our trip from good to great & is a big reason why we would even return to 🇲🇺. If I could rate our stay 7 stars I would as 5 doesn’t even do it justice. Thank you Florian for everything & we hope to stay with you again!

Honestly, fantastic experience! The space was clean and smelt good, it matched the photos and Vicki was an extremely communicative host. Highly recommend.

I would come back any time or recommend it any time. It’s a place to be if you want some nice, peace and quiet and comfy environment with birds singing in the air and surrounded by nature.

Eden Island est un environnement superbe. Le logement était confortable et très beau comme d habitude. J ai retrouvé l endroit que j affectionne à la hauteur de mes souvenirs. C est définitivement une location idéale aux Seychelles !
